Hi all, this is a little worry
Jai unlock the BL
Put the twrp
And the most way to reboot on Android
I try to ruu, custom nothing from nothing
It and s-on
I'm looking for a ruu in 2.16.1020.4
Cid 247 I believe
If someone has it would be nickel I am without such thanks
I believe your phone has to be locked when flashing a RUU. I think the right fastboot command for that is "fastboot oem lock". Then reboot your device with "fastboot reboot". Once re-locked install the right RUU. You can unlock afterwards if you'd like. Now I'm no pro, so don't blame me for bricking your device. But this seems to be pretty safe and is worth the try.

Your phone is s-on so that's the file you need. I don't know anywhere else where you could download this file from. It's either that or you can pay for sunshine s-off and convert to another version using a ruu from the ruu collection thread (i.e convert to the 2.xx.401.x version)
Another option would be to manually edit your version-main to 1.56.1020.70, flash a 1.56.1020.70 signed firmware and then the 1.56.1020.70 ruu.
The 1.56.1020.70 ruu is available at the ruu collection thread but not the 1.56.1020.70 firmware. So you would need to find one to use this solution (signed firmware.zip can be extracted from ota update so if you can find the 1.56.1020.70 ota we should be able to do something). You can read "how to downgrade with s-on" at the FAQ of the ruu thread to understand what i'm talking about. Once downgraded you will be able to install ota updates to be back on the latest version.

Since this is the official OTA, I don't really know what would have went wrong. I guess all I could think of doing is rebooting the phone and waiting a while. Considering new ROMS take a long time on first boot. If that doesn't work, I guess call your carriers tech support.
You can download and run the 3.32.401.105 RUU to restore it to a factory state with ICS.

This should be the right solution for you.
And if you want to do this, all required info can be found here.
If you are S Off, I recommend you keep S Off & don't do the last step.
Problem
When i runn RUU on pc it shows error 132 saying signature write error.
If I extract the zip file and run through bootloader the setup aborts after the yellow bars fills up.
When I go to recovery it says cannot open e:cache ........

flash an RUU - go into hboot and find out what ROM version you were running before (by using fastboot getvar mainversion) then find an RUU with the same or higher version number and download then run it.

Btw another question, is there a way for me to charge my phone because my battery says its below 30% if I try to install an RUU
Paste the output for
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Remove the IMEI number & serial number from the output.
I'll link you to the right RUU or tell you what else you can try.
For now, don't do anything else.
You cannot flash a modified RUU because you are S-ON; so changing the android-info file will not help.

I don't think there is any O2 ICS RUU let alone 3.32 & you're S-ON, so can't flash a lower RUU.
But fortunately, all is not lost. Let's try this.
Please type these commands one after the other & paste the whole output for everything:
Code:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar cid
It's okay if any of them fail, you must execute all three commands one after the other & paste the output.
EDIT:

I found a copy of 2.16.401.3

Hi everyone,
Screwed up my HIAEUHL last night trying to manually update using the Europe Nougat OTA (216.401.3) . Short story: renamed OTA to 2PQ9IMG.zip and flashed that in download mode. Stupid, I know. Consequently,I don't have an OS, and my OS version is 216.401.3. My last backups were of 156.401.70, and I can't simply downgrade because I did not, and cannot have/get S-OFF.
If anyone with a HIAEUHL RUU or .zip I can use to try install Nougat could send me a link, I would greatly appreciate it.
Any advise would also be appreciated.

Try this: try to get a 1.56 OTA, then open it and copy the firmware.zip to your desktop. Then shift+right click on your desktop and select new command window here.
From that command window do these commands:
"Fastboot oem rebootRUU"
"Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip"
Now you should be able to downgrade via flashing the 1.56 RUU of any kind, as long as it starts with 1.56

It probably is because you are s-on
The only thing you can really do now, is to download the RUU, and run it form your PC. Or if you have a microsd card, you could run that from download mode.
Also, there is TWRP for nougat, try using that! You could get CyanogenMod as a temporary fix. Too bad you can only s-off from stock.

I have put TWRP on, and tried CM13, CM14.1 and even SenseO. TWRP tells me the installs are successful but rebooting doesnt yield a result, sometimes it was rebootig to bootloader, sometimes it was stuck in a bootloop. I will try CM14.1 again.

I have tried 156.401.70 to no avail, I doubt I'll have much luck with 156.401.81. The issue to me seems to be that my firmware updated to Nougat, hence OS version is now 2.16.401.3, and I can't downgrade because I was not S-OFF.
Any clue where I can try look for a HIAEUHL Nougat RUU?

I have tried 156.401.70 to no avail, I doubt I'll have much luck with 156.401.81. The issue to me seems to be that my firmware updated to Nougat, hence OS version is now 2.16.401.3, and I can't downgrade because I was not S-OFF.
Any clue where I can try look for a HIAEUHL Nougat RUU?

Yes, but sadly you may have to purchase a licence to ir-file.com just make sure it has your RUU.

I have wiped/factory reset etc. and still cm13/14.1 are not taking. Rebooting at the end of the installation keeps going to bootloader.

You need unlock your bootloader and use HTC Version Tool to downgrade to Nougat
Thanks @minhnewpro
At last we have now one place for the RUU.
I did notice a new Oreo RUU in Chinese forums but I think it's for a single SIM

Thanks for answering! Yes, I tried this, however I can't get the code to paste into the htcdev site. Error message, incorrect command or unknown command appears. I have already researched several tutorials to confirm the command and I can't. Any tipos?

I'm running into this same issue. I can't boot into my phone. Phone keeps rebooting on my splash screen. I can go into only fastboot screen. When I try and select either Boot to Download or Boot to Recovery mode it gots to the htc screen and then reboots and goes to the splash screen thus continuously rebooting. I have an unlocked AT&T US HTC U Ultra. When i run the below getvar I don't get any sim data.
Code:

where do you live? single or dual sim? is it brand or is it free sim?
can you reboot in fastboot mode? here you can find all information
for example my phone codename is ocndugl = DUGL DUAL SIM EMEA
this is my htc u11 fastboot----- >https://drive.google.com/file/d/19g5JiOs72VV_GKjh9f7b51B6cUN0TtKW/view?usp=sharing
Or if you can reinstall twrp recovery, you can bypass pin screen

My fastboot mode the same as you without RELOCKED, because i relocked it.
That's why i can't find way to reinstall twrp recovery.

How to unlock if i can't go to usb debug ?
To sum it up, he
1. somehow tinkered with his phone when unlocked
2. relocked bootloader before restoring a stock pristine system
3. is now soft bricked cause he needs to RUU which isn't available as of yet, and we don't know if it'll get leaked
4. he can't boot to OS to re-unlock, S-OFF to downgrade, due to the above mentioned problems.
We're out of options here for the time being. Only one who might currently be able to restore the device might be HTC Support. But that may cost him, as they'll see that the device has been tinkered with.

If you have saved the unlock token from the first time you unlocked the phone, you can use this token again!
Simply flash unlock_code.bin with the command:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin

I'm not the one who unlock it so i can't find it ....
Why it so hard
like a genius got too far into the tinkering and have done same. S-On so cannot change CID and re-locked so wont let me get into TWRP. Still have unlock bin but no joy as when I flashed custom it would have reset oem unlock to off so i get following:
(bootloader) flash unlocktoken
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] : /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/frp
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] Last Byte is 0X00, disable unlock
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] oem unlock Turn Off!
Obviously can't get back into Android to enable said unlock so seemingly out of options unless there is a way to flip that byte.

I do have a second Telstra U11 device around the house. Is there a way to image from that device to this one?
The problem is obvious. It's a Chinese phone. The firmware currently loaded is Chinese and you're trying to flash a Taiwanese firmware on a multi region cid.
My guess is that the phone has been messed with.
If flashing the same version firmware as what is on it now (2.47.1405.2) fails you will need to get the mid to check it matches the cid for region. If not you have problems ahead.
