Sorry for the late reply. My wife just had a baby. You need to remove super user before you apply the update. The update wont work with SU. Its batter to do it with stock 100%
Brilliant. Took a bit of trial and error since I've not worked with this tool before but got my tablet updated to 4.4.2 at last. Thanks so much for putting this together, I really thought I'd be stuck on 4.2. Just gotta figure out how to root now, that doesn't seem to be working.

Does this allow the Tab to make and receive calls over GSM? Is this unbranded firmware not Vodafone firmware?
You need root access to install custom recovery via adb in fastboot, so you mean get root, install recovery then remove SU before flashing?
Okay so the first dump (4.2.2) is stock firmware from Hungary Vodafone used by mtktools to flash, please not this does not have super user so your device is allowed to update to the 4.4.2 file.
Second file is an update to 4.4.2 for those that missed out on the OTA release because they had root.
Third file is a custom debloated 4.4.2 flashable through CWM.
Never install SU on hungary 4.2.2 firmware as you will never get to upgrade to 4.4.2 firmware.
Updated with new files please check post #1
Gapps on RR v5.7.4 is now fully functional. Enjoy please dont Forget to hit that Thanks button!
New RR 5.7.4 Update:
THIS IS A TWRP RESTORE METHOD!
Replace DATA.* and SYSTEM.* files in one of your own backups of RR5.7.4!
Updated SU to 2.79
Busybox Updated
Gapps Installed
DivineBeats V9 installed
Please note there will be alot of missing apps as i needed to make room in system partition for this. There will be no call functionality, or messaging functionality. Also music player app is gone along with YGPS and Adaway. Let me know how you guys go
Where can I find Resurrection Remix in zip file ? Because there is not in your files (only RR 5.7.4 in rar file).

There is no scatter file for MT8382. Vodafone changed it to lock people out of backing up. The original scatter file provided is the real device code. Why are you asking for MT8382?

Extract the files and re-ZIP it as a zip file. I made a mistake. It won't affect install

Glad I could help you out dude! There is 7.1 floating around but it's not very good and I don't use this device much anymore. If I do end up doing it ill post it here. Don't forget to hit tthat thanks button
Hey everyone,
During the initial versions of LineageOS, I wasn't been able to install it due to error:7 (Baseband error).
Now, I have tried a method that worked on my yu Yunique device.
This method can be used for any other device also but you have to find corresponding ROM file and other stuffs for your device only.
**Remember to take a full backup before experimenting with your device**
Procedure:
You need following things before you start-
1. LineageOS rom file: https://download.lineageos.org/jalebi
2. Open Gapps: http://opengapps.org (choose platform=ARM, android=7.1 and variant of your choice)
3.Caesium kernel: https://transfer.sh/Yqhm8/Caesium-jalebi-20170701-140319-v2.1.zip
4:LineageOS root file:https://download.lineageos.org/extras (Name: su(arm), version:14.1)
5. Firmware File: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298934200
NOTE **There are some times that this method won't work in the latest TWRP i.e 3.0.3-0. So, revert back to TWRP 2.8.7.0 and then try the given method.**
Method:
1. After taking a backup of your previous working ROM, wipe off the Dalvik cache + system + cache + data in the recovery.
2. Flash the firmware image.( This solves the baseband error problem)
3. Flash the lineageOS rom file.
4. Now flash the caesium kernel( prevents bootloop)
5. after flashing all 3 files, reboot into system.
The first bootup will take about 2-3 minute(can go upto 5-7 min also). so have patience.
This worked for me. If it also works for you too, then please tell.
Also, you can watch my youtube video for the same:https://youtu.be/nYOsDeG5Kfs
Thank you
NOTE**All the file provided above belongs to their corresponding developers. I am just sharing it for help**
helpful guide
You can also solve this prob by delete baseband line in updater script
Helpful !!!!

Step by step Guide flashing OTA update using OrangeFox Recovery Project
But before proceeding, make sure you did all of the steps here https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/xiaomi-poco-f1-unlock-bootloader-custom-t3839405
1. Preparation for the OTA update
-BACKUP YOUR IMPORTANT DATA FIRST
-Download the latest release of OrangeFox Recovery (found above)
-Download your MIUI Full ROM (See above)
1.1 Flash the OrangeFoxRecovery.zip using your current custom recovery
-Reboot to OrangeFox Recovery
1.2 Go to the settings and enable these MIUI OTA settings
-Support MIUI Incremental OTA
-Include system in OTA survival
-Incremental OTA signature verification
-Aggressive stock recovery deactivation
-Disable DM-Verity
-Disable Forced Encryption (Some devices bypass this option, there will be a step on how to fully disable forced encryption later.
1.3 Go to the WIPE menu and tick wipe data, cache and dalvik
1.4 Flash your full MIUI ROM (stable/beta). After the ROM is flashed, OrangeFox will start the "OTA_BAK" process, which will backup your system and boot partitions into the /sdcard/Fox/OTA directory. You must NOT delete any of the files in the /sdcard/Fox/OTA directory. If you do, then incremental OTA updates will most definitely fail.
1.5 Reboot your phone and start to use your phone normally
1.6 When MIUI notifies you that there is an update, download the update, using the MIUI updater app and allow it to reboot automatically to OrangeFox
-If an error shows that the data partition is still encrypted, then time for step 2
-If the ota update succeeded, then Congrats just wait around 5-10 minutes to boot. Ignore the next step
2. Transfer folders Fox and rom_downloads from internal storage to sdcard (Please don't get confused by this, it is explanatory.)
-If you done downloading the OTA, transfer rom_downloads from internal storage to sdcard
-Transfer Fox from internal storage to sdcard, DO NOT SKIP THIS OR YOU'LL BRICK YOUR DEVICE
-Make sure the Force Encryption Disabler and Magisk is in the sdcard. We gonna need it.
2.1 Reboot to OrangeFox
2.2 Wipe Data ONLY, Don't forget to transfer the Fox from internal storage to sdcard or you'll lose the ota survival
2.3 Flash Force Encryption Disabler
2.4 Reboot recovery
-If no pop-up was shown to decrypt data, then Encryption is disabled.
2.5 Reboot the device
2.6 Transfer folders Fox and rom_downloads from sdcard to internal storage
2.7 Go to MIUI updater app then press reboot to flash ota update Don't forget to transfer the Fox from sdcard to internal storage or you'll risk your device to brick because ota_bak never existed during ota update
-Make sure you have 15% battery life or connect it to a plug
2.8 Say your prayers that it worked
2.9 If the ota update succeeded, without bootloop or errors was shown during the flash. Then you are good.
-Takes time to boot after the ota update? Just wait around 10 minutes, in this process, the data partition gets force encrypted again and needed to be disabled again via custom recovery. After boot, you can proceed again to disable force encryption via OrangeFox.
-New ota update? Just repeat the step 1.6

Great job.… :good:
Try modifying /system partition (like removing a bloted system app or editing build.prop) after step 1.5 then update OTA through rest of the process if it get flashed or not.... Let me know, it'll be great help for me!!

Ohhh yeah... About that...
Even though you modified something in the system partition (like flashed a custom kernel, have Magisk/SuperSU installed), it will get removed because of the OTA update and will be replaced by stock kernel, and a non-rooted system. But about removing bloated system app, I will try that next time.
You could try it, before proceeding to step 1.6, you can back-up your system apps using Titanium back-up or other apps available on the play store. Or just BACKUP everything via OrangeFox. If anything gets wrong or something, at least you have a backup to restore with.
Everything you flash on the system (custom kernel, Magisk/SuperSu, performance mod, tweaks, will be wiped.
Just flash it again and everything would be fine.
Sir, is this still working on latest developer rom (9.4.26) ?
Do you prefer R9.0 over R9.0.1 ? Had read that latter has bugs.
Or safest method as of now is from this post via official twrp ? --> https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79461706&postcount=186
Please help sir as I really want to be on stock miui w/ magisk & OTA support.

Hello, so, my problem is same as title says.
I´ll try to write it as short as possible.
I tried to install Resurrection Remix, Lineage OS, Arrow OS, BootLeggers ( All are unofficial builds for my Redmi 6 ), but everytime I got the constant rebooting bootloop, so I need to go to TWRP and flash Official MIUI ROM
Here are my installation steps for Resurrection Remix ( Pretty same as In this Tutorial ) :
1. - I went to TWRP ( LR. Team TWRP 3.3.1 )
2. - It was showing Internal Storage (0MB), so I click on Wipe - Format Data - yes
3. - After that also Wipe - Advanced Wipe - I selected Dalvik / ART Cache, System, Cache, Data, Vendor
4. - I moved RR Flashable .zip file and Magisk v19.3 from my PC to phones Internal Storage (via USB Cable)
5. - I clicked on Install - RR-P-v7.0.2-20200111-cereus-Unofficial.zip - Add more zips - Magisk-v19.3.zip
6. - After that, I clicked on Wipe cache/dalvik, checked if I´ve got any errors and clicked on Reboot
7. - After that, phone started to restart around every 5 seconds until I went to TWRP and Installed Official MIUI ROM
BONUS. - Tried also on second try to flash MIUI Firmware before RR .zip file, but the results were same.
Also I don´t want Gapps in my phone so i didn´t flash them.
With other ROMs it was same, always bootloop. Here are all .zips, links to forums, tutorials that I followed.
So please message me what´s the issue, especially while installing Resurrection Remix, because this is the ROM that I would like to install the most.
I know it's too late for reply I'm just posting this so that others (like myself) can see this. Lets keep the community for this phone alive!
Install MIUI V10.4.4.0 (I found that this version works for me), Disable DM verity (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ncrypt-disk-quota-disabler-11-2-2020.3817389/) and finally wipe data and install your custom rom.
It will bootloop on the first boot so wait a few seconds then force reboot
