Bug report: 1.9.3 on Shield TV has bugs when rewinding
Latest MX Player version has problems when rewinding on Shield tv with latest stock nougat image. After some playback time if i rewind back the video, the app rewinds 10 minutes instead of 10 seconds, and then if i try rewinding another time the app rewinds correctly 10 seconds. If i resume a video and try rewinding 10 seconds the app goes back to the beginning of the video. Here's the report: www97 zippyshare com/v/g3vHDNjh/file.html thanks for everything!

does it happen every time or only at a specific location? can you collect another bug report immediately after a 10min jump?
in the logs, all rewind operation has moved to by 10sec.
I'm using MX Player Pro NEON 1.9.3 right now on Android 7 and have a strange issue with seeking:
Whenever I start to play a video (or resume one) the first hit to the left or right arrow (using keyboard or receiver) makes the player to jump to the beginning of the video. If I push and hold the arrows it doesn't do this, the player start to seek as it suppose to. If I once do a seeking this way the "one hit" seeking starts to working properly again and the player seeks 10sec for 1 hit backward or forward without a problem.
This could be really annoying if I start to watch something and I want to go backward 10sec for rewatch -> the video jumps to the beginning.
Any idea how to fix this would be appreciated.

This happens to me as well. It seems like when you seek the video it starts the seek by jumping to wherever you last seeked. So if you let the video play out and then seek it will jump to the beginning, or if you for example seek to 1 minute in and let the video play, then try to seek it will jump back to 1 minute in. This started happening after a recent update.

That's exactly the same problem I have.
If I don't seek into the video with continuous keypress the first short keypress seek to any direction will jump to 0:00, it doesn't matter if I resumed the video to any certain point or played from the beginning.
If I do seek into the video with continuous keypress then for a while the short seek keypresses are working (jumps 10 sec in the required direction). But after a few minutes of playing if I press a short seek again it jumps back to the last continuous keypress location.
I confirm. Have the same problems.
Same problem here too - very annoying
on my android box using my harmony remote, if I press SEEK forward using my NEXT button, it jumps back to the beginning of the video (or last resumed position). Only started a day ago with the new release (Android).

We are aware of the issue & our developers are working on it. hope it will be fixed on the next version.
Same for me been trying to find a fix but no luck so far
Yep! I have the same problem...
Same here, but I think the problem is being misexplained.
I'm using MX player on a sony bravia xbr55x700d on nougat. It seemed like the current position is sticking to the last place the player hud was active. I'm getting the same jump to start everyone is mentioning when I attempt to seek, but ONLY if don't pop up the menus first. If I do, then I can sell from my current position normally. Every time I try to seek, it goes to the last position that occurred due to a menu interaction. For some reason, the player's tracking is stuck wherever the last place the menu was accessed was.
I can scroll just fine as long as I remember to bring up the menu first. I hope this helps narrow down what code to investigate.

So I love my Transformer, but for some reason Youtube is just junk on it. Everything shows fine in regards to pictures and the interface is quick and snappy, but when I go to watch a video it either 1) literally takes nearly 5 minutes to start playing, 2) only takes about 2 minutes to start playing but then stops to load some more every 15 seconds or so, or 3) doesn't play at all.
This has been tested on 4 different wifi sources, all of which have been reliable and fast for me in the past. Is anyone else having this problem? It's pretty frustrating.
Use the search function please. This topic is widely known and heavily spoken for.
Yeah, it's a known issue.
If I remember correctly it's supposed to be fixed by an Adobe Flash update that is waiting on Honeycomb 3.1 to be released.
So hopefully it should be fixed soon! Embarrassing for a Google device to not be able to use YouTube reliably...
Thanks for the answer. I watch this forum a good amount and have never seen this particular issue brought up, so I apologize.

Would you try the following function?
setting -> screen -> timeout
Since the mango update there is a small change slightly irritating me.
Everytime when I push the power butten when in sleepmode the lockscreen shows.
But since mango it takes about 1 second to show the information like date, texts, mails etc..
Does anybody has the same problem and knows how to fix it?
I hate it also i dont think you can fix it
same situation on my mozart, it's unfortunate but maybe it'll get fixed
the thing goes away if there's song active in mini player. so, go and play a song, stop it, turn off the screen and then turn it on again. there will be no more lag in displaying clock and callendar.
the lag will come back if you go and play a video. the song will go away from the mini player, and lag will be present till the next time you play a song.

That one second must be killing you
For me it's not a big deal. I guess this might be battery saving feature so phone doesn't have to sync all the time while it's off.
I had this problem and it ended up going away on its own after a few days.
I have a focus
I had this issue during the beta, however it was fixed in final release. Not sure what to tell ya.
I assume it takes about a second to gather the data, but I haven't suffered that delay either. It probably depends on how much email and contacts and other data that you may have.

I can confirm this. I did a few tests this afternoon. Youtube videos do not appear to invoke the bug, but videos played in the music/video app doe result in the delay.
I created an account on xda just to tell phobius87 what an outstanding individual he/she is. Treat yourself to a milkshake Phobius, or, if you're lactose intolerant and of legal age...enjoy a smooth refreshing alcoholic beverage.
Hello!
I'm relatively new in the forum and I've checked Q&A regarding my Oneplus One hoping that this problem isn't known already . Up to today I'm happy with the phone except for some minor problems.
Nevertheless the last problem is a bit more annoying: I'm starting the "MORT Music Player", "play" key is pressed and music starts to play. Then I'm switching off the screen. After some seconds (it differs very much, sometimes it takes 20 seconds, sometimes more than 60 seconds) the Music stops.
This behavior appears only occasionally but when it starts it appears every time I start the player again. It seems that only a complete reboot is helping in this case
But when I'm connecting the OPO to the charger and the screen stays switched on (Display setting is active) while executing the same steps as mentioned above the problem doesn't appear
I'm running the latest Version 12.1-YOG4PAS1N0, installation was done via TWRP with full update (not via OTA), Dalvik Cache was wiped after installation.
Does anybody have the same problem as me or did I miss a Thread in the Forum? Help's appreciated :good:
Hey pal.
Did you ever find a solution to this issue?

r u using mortplayer music app?
Has anybody experienced this? I do not have power saver on. I'm on the August 1 security patch for the G930U.
Here is the scenario:
- Play a song through Spotify
- Click the home button (media controls will appear in notifications when Spotify is in the background)
- Pause or stop the song from notifications (don't hit the x in the media controls notification)
- Let phone sit with Spotify on pause
- Eventually, the media controls will disappear from the notifications as if the phone automatically shut down the Spotify app, which is fine.. but..
- Play a song through Spotify again
- Click the home button (media controls will NOT appear in notifications)
The only way to fix this for me has been to open up the recents app menu and swipe it away, then open Spotify again. Extremely annoying.
I have been having this issue as well on my LG G4, almost the exact same symptoms you have. I have tried all the re-installation tricks and factory resetting my phone. After some spotify forum digging I think other users have this issue and its an app based issue. I am 75% sure of it, but know one has had a definite answer to why this happens so I can't say for sure its the app and not Android
I'm having the same problem in a OnePlus X, thought it was something about latest Marshmallow update. I don't think this happen in Lollipop, but.. who knows.
I have had this issue from time to time, but have not noticed it in the last couple days since installing the latest beta (6.5.0.1795) from the XDA Labs app. It hasn't been long enough for me to say for sure it's fixed, but it's worth a shot. Try it out and report back on if you're able to reproduce the issue with the beta version.
Having the same problem on the S7. Latest stable version of Spotify and on latest software.
Hi,
I've just updated my KB2003 to 11.0.6.8 and I've noticed that video and/or audio playback pauses for a second and then plays back for maybe 3-4 sec and again it pauses. The issue is present in every app.
I've cleared cache after update. Any solution?
same happens to me, I believe Dolby atmos is the issue it keeps crashing and wont let me turn it off even.
problem on both wired and wireless headphone
From KB2005 OOS 11.0.6.7KB05AA

Same problem here
I can confirm kb2003 11.0.6.8 lag lag!!! Video online and offline, notifications, unlocking, with lag every 3 - 4 seconds.
Seen a lot of posts about this on the official oneplus forum.
Some claim that the answer fixed it self after a few hours and someone just posted
" Recorded myself on voice recorder, played it back, phone now behaves normaly !!"
" I restarted.. bug again.. i take a video with the phone... Then kill the photo app... No more bug "
"WORKAROUND: audio/video playback works witout interruption if battery saver is activated. "
Someone said a factory reset fixed it. But I guess most people want to avoid that.
No idea if it works or not. I haven't received the OTA yet. Eventhough I planned to download it with oxygen updater, but now I am waiting a bit until I get more info about this error.
