If i root my u11 can i still manually download the latest updates? Is it worth it to root my phone or should i just keep it this way. Please help
Can anyone help please?
Read carefully this, if you understand go ahead and root, if not keep it this way.
PS. this really should be in Q&A.

Hi everyone,
Im new to XDA Developers I have tried to search for the answer to my question but have not had much luck. If someone could help me, i would really appreciate it.
I want to root my HTC sensation XL, but I am unsure about the correct way to do it. Im hoping someone could give me a quick run through of the correct way to do this so that I do not brick my phone. Thanks A lot guys.
Also, I went to HTCdev and tried to unlock my bootloader but I cant find my device, I wasn't 100% sure if it would be Sensation (EU) or if i should select 'All other supported model'
Well..
I would like to root my at&t lg g2 d80010q before I update and go to kitkat. I have looked around the xda site for ways to do it but, frankly, things are scattered and, its making it difficult for me to understand what to do.
Is there someone here who can guide me to a thread in which it will help me root the device and than retain the root through the update..
any advice will be appreciated..
thank you.

Hey, so recently I've seen quite a few good and useful advantages for rooting my phone but a few disadvantages if i did decide to root my device, I would go ahead with this process however I'm not sure where to go from here and if i should actually root my phone.
I have a HTC One Mini and I've got a few questions about rooting since I haven't really done it before just read about it and watched videos about it,
Some questions I have:
If I did decide to root my phone what would be the best way(e.g. the most trusted/popular tutorial for rooting etc) and where should I go from here?
If I did root it, what would be the chance of bricking it and actually breaking it fully to the point of no return?
If I did go and root it is there any way to revert back to a non-rooted device or will it be rooted forever if I do root it?
Is there anything else I would need to know before I did root it?
Thank you for reading.

Best way is too read the HTC One Mini > One Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Frequently Asked Questions thread.
Q2 is about rooting.
You can find more useful information and guides in the HTC One Mini > One Mini General forum.
And if you have further questions, please ask in the HTC One Mini > One Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.

Bricking it would be a very miniscule chance. I doubt you would brick your phone because it only will happen if something just went AWOL.
As for unrooting possiblilities, It is possible. Don't know how you can unroot a HTC One Mini but im sure there is a easy way.
forgive me because normally i do do my homework and find the answer for myself as im not new to this awesome site and already know how things work here so I am really sorry for Im sure this has been covered but simply put I have very little time due to some life bs thats going on with me right now and cant dedicate the appropriate time to do my homework,. Im on 5.0.1, s-off and running a stock prerooted firmware from the ruu file DOTTAT_VZWM8_S_OFF_5.0.1_SF_FUU. My phone without me doing anything has downloaded the 6.0 update and I know sooner or later verizon will force me to take the update. What is the best way to upgrade and still keep s_off, unlocked and rooted? once again I apologize for this rash approach because I do respect what you do and I know making people do homework is how to best educate them. I appreciate any help whether being a direct answer or a link to the appropriate forum for the answer, and and all help is most definitely appreciated.
I have a HTC One M9 which I managed to root a while back but now I want to unroot and go back to stock. I have been doing research but can't find exactly what I need. I am in the UK and my carrier is o2. I am also currently s-on and not sure if I have to be s-off or not to achieve this. Can somebody please help me with instructions etc. If there are any other bits of information you need please ask and I will get it for you. TIA
