I have a HTC One M9 which I managed to root a while back but now I want to unroot and go back to stock. I have been doing research but can't find exactly what I need. I am in the UK and my carrier is o2. I am also currently s-on and not sure if I have to be s-off or not to achieve this. Can somebody please help me with instructions etc. If there are any other bits of information you need please ask and I will get it for you. TIA

Hello, I have a HTC Sensation 4G T-Mobile S-ON'd. Before I S-OFF my device. Is there any way to revert back to stock S-On or (if possible) tell them my phone came S-OFF if asked when i send to HTC or T-Mobile Replacement/Fix Plan. Also, additional information wanted, is there a way to revert back to stock recovery.

I think flashing correct RUU will take your phone back to the state where it was when you first opened it's package.
Please Someone Try
So we have theories. Is there any experienced members that are willing to try this out for us. Thanks.

hi guys, i am new to the rooting thing i bought a rooted htc m8
i have a 4.18.708.12 os and the cid is : HTC__622
how to unroot it ?
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance
Hi,
Can you be more clear on what exactly you are attempting? To just Unroot, if you have SuperSU installed, is go into SuperSU app, to settings and use the full Unroot option.
But if there is more to why you are doing this and the current state of your device , I can possibly direct you to an appropriate area.
:good:

I tried doing full unroot but its still rooted
And am having problem with the current os
I read about RUU and OTA but i didn't understand and couldn't find the right version
Thank you
If you let me know the carrier version, I can't point you in the right direction.
Actually, I figured it out. But I can't find a ruu for your version. You'd do best to ask the experts on the M8 in this dedicated help thread,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/help-thread-htc-one-m8-questions-t2897783
Hopefully they can point you in the right direction. Make sure to state that you're s-off. That will likely open up alternative ways for you to accomplish your goal.

If i root my u11 can i still manually download the latest updates? Is it worth it to root my phone or should i just keep it this way. Please help
Can anyone help please?
Read carefully this, if you understand go ahead and root, if not keep it this way.
PS. this really should be in Q&A.
