Android box controlled by phone - General Questions and Answers

I have a M8S pro, android 7.1.1 and want to control it with redmi note 4, android 7.1.2, but it can't find the box. Box is ethernet, redmi is WiFi but both on same network. Have tried various apps and nothing picks up the M8S. Tried it with a old mxq and the phone remote app found it straight away. Any suggestions what the issue could be??

BT Controller on MM

Hello everyone!
I recently experienced problems with my Mad Catz’ C.T.R.L.R Mobile Gamepad on my Mate 7. The gamepad is connected via bluetooth to the phone and can be switched between several operation modes (mouse, gamesmart and Xinput modes). Untill LP 5.1 the controller was working just fine with my Mate 7 but after upgrading to MM it just stopped working. I Can connect to it via bluetooth and the connection seems to be established butit just seems there is nothing "arriving" on the phone, just nothing happens. I checked the gamepad on other phones with MM and on PC, it was working - so it is probably something with the Mate 7 MM software.
Does anyone have an idea about it? Am I missing some security option which blocks the input? Btw i already noticed this loss of function during MM beta.
Did you manage to solve this? Im seeing same issue with honor 6 on android 6.0
Unfortunately I did not manage to solve it. Huawei just messed up input drivers with MM i guess. Only workaround i see so far is downgrade to LP or switch phones (as I will do).

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (Android 5.0.2{Lollipop}) USB not working with Android Auto

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (Android 5.0.2{Lollipop}) USB not working with Android Auto on Hyundai display?
Phone is Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 not working with Android Auto – not showing USB connecting to car
Android 5.0.2{Lollipop}
MIUI Global 9.5.4.0 -LHMMIFA- stable
Car is Hyundai Sonata 2018 SE
Android Auto Version 3.2.581534-release
Android Auto shows Accepted cars: None
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Phone is Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 working with Android Auto – showing USB connecting to car
Android 6.0{Marshmallow}
MIUI Global 9.5.2.0 -MBFMIFA- stable
Car is Hyundai Sonata 2018 SE
Android Auto Version 3.2.581534-release
Android Auto shows Accepted cars: Sonata
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Phone is named Android -- showing USB connecting to car
Android 4.0.3 {Ice Cream Sandwich}
Car is Hyundai Sonata 2018 SE
Not compatible Android Auto program
------------------------------------------------------------------
Things already tried include:
1. 6 different types of USB cables which show charging from the car. Note 4 shows on the phone that USB is connected.
Note 2 phone shows charging but shows USB is not connected.
2. Compared settings between phones, updating to the latest software release from Xiaomi
3. Have Developer mode turned on for both Note phones.
4. Allowed all permissions when installing Android Auto.
5. The Note 2 phone connects fine to Win XP, Win 7 and Windows 10 by USB.
6. On the Note 2 phone, tried going into “Developer” choices and turned off “MIUI Optimization”. Phone rebooted and USB shows it’s connected! Was surprised that it connected. Turned “MIUI Optimization” back on, phone rebooted and USB shows not connected. Turned off “MIUI Optimization”. Phone
rebooted and USB shows it’s connected again! Feeling good that I had found the problem, I repeated the process for the third time. Unfortunately “MIUI Optimization” on or off no longer will get USB to show it’s connected.
So problem isn’t the Android Auto program. Still something about how the Note 2 and Hyundai car are doing USB that aren’t allowing them to connect to each other. Is there an app that will assist in getting the Note 2 to consistently
connect to USB? Maybe an app that checks the handshake data difference between the Note 2 and Note 4 phones while trying to connect to the Hyundai car?
Thanks,

I have Dell Inspiron 3521 with windows 10 instaleld on it. Already tried previously Remix Os, Phoenix Os, Prime OS and now i have installed Bliss os. Everything went smooth only problem is Wifi. Im able to enable it but it doesnt recognize any networks even though my router is 2m away. I have looked up everywhere for solution but i cant find it how to update/install or enable to show the hardware for my Wifi module. I think it is Broadcom adapter which i have searched all the google and i cant seem to find any solution or similar question.
Any help would be much appreciated.

RJ45 USB Ethernet adapter issue

Hi,
I want to use a wired Ethernet link with my Mi Note 10 to access to my home lan.
I bought this apparently compatible adapter model UGREEN:
"ww.ugreen.com/collections/usb-ethernet-adapter/products/usb-c-to-gigabit-rj45-ethernet-adapter"
It not works.
My phone:
Model : Mi note 10 pro
MIUI Ver. : MIUI Global 11.1.1 Stable 11.1.1.0(QFDEUXM)
Android Ver. : 10 QKQ1.190825.002
Symptoms:
After disabling Wifi and mobile data and connecting my adapter to an operational network link, no ethernet access. The adapter leds stay on steady (so no traffic). No IP address assigned by my DHCP router so not seen from the network.
Tests :
The adapter works well on Windows 10.
I tested several otherwise functional trunks and even two different DHCP routers.
The “USB OTG Checker” android application detects the adapter.
I obviously activate / deactivate various parameters, restart, activate debugging mode: nothing helps.
It looks like the Android "Wired Ethernet" service is disabled.
Questions to the community:
Does the mi note 10 pro support this feature? (I read somewhere that Xiaomi has now disabled this option. Is that true?)
Is there an Android 10 MIUI 11 security to disable or a setting to change?
Does anyone have this same problem with this model of phone? Does this work somewhere with another adapter?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards
