In This Thread I Will Show You How To Flash Marshmallow On Your D850 Without Feeling Any Need Of Rooting Your Device To Solve Any Error . Just Follow The Exact Instructions That I Give , And There Will Be No Error After Flash
Please note that this firmware will change your device model to D850PR and also remove the AT&T crapware . I have tested this firmware twice and there is no bloatware or error in this KDZ that i am giving link here .
In my previous thread, i did not provide any correct details so i have decided to create this new thread
.
.
Required Files :-
D850PR20A KDZ Firmware
D850PR30A KDZ Firmware
LG Flash Tool 2014
LG USB Drivers Latest
Flash Instructions :-
1: Install LG Flash Tool 2014 On Your PC .
2: Install LG USB Drivers On Your PC .
3: Copy both 20A and 30A KDZ To The Folder Where LG Flash Tool Is Installed (important) .
4: Go To Download Mode By Turning Off Your Phone And Then Holding The Volume UP Button While Connecting Phone To PC Via USB Cable .
5: Open LG Flash Tool And Select The V20A Lollipop KDZ Firmware That You Download . I Also Recommend Diconnecting From Internet Before Opening LG Flash Tool .
6: Choose CSE Flash Method And Let LG Flash Tool Complete Its Process .
7. The Phone Will Reboot Once The Firmware Is Flashed .
8. After V20A Lollipop Firmware Is Flashed Properly And The Home Screen Appears , Now Switch Off The Phone And Go Into Download Mode Again And Follow The Above Instructions To Flash V30A Marshmallow Firmware .
9. After Flashing V30A , Your Phone Will Reboot And Then Show The Android Upgrade Box Which Will Take Approx 5 Minutes To Complete .
10. Now Enjoy The De-Bloated Marshmallow Firmware Without Even Getting Any Cust Or Region Error .
(Follow The Instructions Correctly, Othewise You Will Get Some Error Possibly)
Use A Stable Internet Connection To Download The KDZ's . The Links That I Gave Above Are Also High-Speed Links . Sometimes, Using A Download Accelerator Also Can Make A File Corrupt , So Download The Required Files With Browser .
.
.
.
.
.
Downgrading From D850PR Marshmallow To D850 Kitkat :-
Firstly You Need The Following Files :
1. LG Flash Tool 2.0.1.6 Patched (thanks @ieatacid)
2. Stock KitKat TOT Firmware
3: LGUL_8974.dll (Use It In LG Flash Tool)
Now Follow This Guide by @hyelton Only For Instructions To Use The Downloaded LG Flash Tool , KDZ and DLL To Downgrade To Kitkat .
Just See How To Use The Flash Tool . Dont Download Anything From That Thread . Use The DLL File That I Linked Above Because It Does Not Check Your Device Model While Flashing .

D850 AT&T
It's compatibility with D850 AT&T ?

Hi, can you confirm me if this firmware supports 4G LTE Band 4 AWS 1700/2100 mhz? Thank you!

Yes its just not an AT&T branded rom

You can flash it on AT&T D850 .
This ROM Is Better Than The AT&T Crap , Because It Works Like An International Version Without Any Carrier IQ Or Bloatware . It Has TIGO BootLogo Instead Of The AT&T BootLogo .
.
Every Detail Will Be Added Slowly In The 2nd Post When I Get Some Time . The BottomLine Is That Marshmallow Is Better Than The LolliPop Also According To Battery Life And RAM Management

My answer is that it supports 4G on any network globally . The bands thing is hardware-related so you can search it on google . If it worked on kitkat , it will also work on marshmallow

I agree that the AT&T ROM is crap, and I just wish I could replace it, but before should I know if this new firmware will support the 4G LTE frequencies in my country, what country are you from and what frequencies does your 4G company use? I am using this phone outside of the USA, I am in Argentina and use the same frequency as AT&T in the USA, Band 4 AWS 1700/2100, I need to keep that support to continue using the network here, you can confirm if the ROM D850PR supports that frequency 4G? what country is the TIGO company from? Thank you!

Ok thank you very much, I will try to install.

I am using ZONG 4G In Pakistan .
My 4G Network Provider Uses 1800/2100 band so i think it will work in your country also . This bands thing is hardware-related
As mentioned above , this ROM has no carrier IQ which means that you can use any network type on any network in any country ?

Did you directly flash it from a D850 rom or did you flash it after flashing the D850PR Lollipop rom according to my method ???
My method gives 100% guarantee that you will not get any error during flash and after flash . I have tested it

I tried on the alexndr ROM (stock with some optimization) without success. Perhaps it is only working on the Hong Kong room or if the network allows volte for the note 5 (CSC matches the N920 identifier)

FYI
in india Volte works on Frequency Band 40 which is not supported by any Galaxy s5 Varient(except galaxy s5 plus)
you can use 4g/Lte but not Volte
We may be able to add band 40 to our galaxy s5 by the method given in the below
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059
I have tried adding band 40 , but it does not work with stock based rom.
I have not tired cm based rom, since none of them have VOLTE option.
For jio sim i get only band 5 and 3 which does not support VOLTE.
With any stock rom either hongkong or UAE or NEE csc.
Done that and lost hope.

So is it possible that we first install a CM based rom &Add frequency band 40
& then flash a compatible stock (Volte Supported) rom ??
I dont think flashing a stock rom after changing/adding freq. Band will reset the Freq. Bands....food for thoughts..maybe

Added NV value will not change.
But i have never got band 40 on stock based rom.
I dont think any CM based rom in XDA support VOLTE option.
I dont know how this guy got VOLTE for Jio on s5.
Technically jio VOLTE should not work on s5.
??
??
In the video he's showing S6 not a Galaxy S5.
i have already seen this youtube video..this is just made from it... I even talked with him he said.... he doesn't know about galaxy s5 and he told me to try and I tried it on Cm based and it didn't work but he asked me to try with stock so flashed and did this VoLTE fix but unfortunately VoLTE just shows up for 2-3 sec and I am loosing the total signal and to get back I had to switch to flight mode ... am talking about G900i .. don't know about others
here is the orginal videos link ask him for any help in comments he do replies---------> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlkaziK6AkY
Hi All,
Following Video just worked for me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DaucMHsjBc
Good Luck
Hit Thanks button if i helped you!
It seem I was wrong.
As i said before the JIO support VOLTE only for band 40.
But after using LYF phone. I was able to use VOLTE on band 5 and band 3.
But alll the custom does not support VOLTE for indian jio brand.
Option is only left with hongkong csc only.
I request someone good enough to make rom like xxx 6.1 rom based of hongkong rom. For g900f.

Hi
What mobile info app did you use? PhoneInfo ??
If not use that one . make sure you have the right model and that is original
You can always flash manually your firmware , check here
If you use home_csc ( has to be the same csc you have in your phone now , check csc with phoneinfo) you will not factory reset your phone.
BTW you are in the wrong forum , this is for the exynos model
Check here at the bottom are the links for all the snapdragon models
Yep, like MAX says, your phone is G930U, you will likely not get OTA updates until you flash the correct firmware to it, as it has been faked to look like a G930F

Question S21+ no updates since June

I bought this s21+ G996B Exynos from a local shop.
Since I bought this phone I don't remember that there was a single update available for it.
See the screenshots for details.
Can any one tell which country CSC is this in screenshots. I can't seem to identify it.
I am looking to upgrade to Android 12 and not interested in root (but if its the only way to go to android 12 then I guess its ok)
Should I change CSC ? Will that enable updates for me. Is there a a process for S21+
Any other way to upgrade?

Tried Frija to download any updates but it says no updates found.
Rule #1 if the firmware is fast, stable and fulfilling its mission... let it be.
Upgrades can and do break things.
There are many reported issues with 12.
Security simply isn't a major issue with Android 9 and up.
You can always update latter if you want or need to...

Hi
Those CSC that you show are really strange , I could not find out what WWD is from and XAA ( least important one) is from USA??
What would I do? ....change your active CSC (WWD) , if you are not rooted , try this first , if that do not work you will have to pay for the service (SamKey) , change your active CSC to Pakistan (PAK) for example , or any other country you choose ang get regular updates
Pakistan had several already since june , check here

Thanks for the reply.
Which region is better considering
1. I have an samsung active 2 watch and I would like to use its BP and ECG features. On watch I had changed the CSC to korean and features are available on it but not on the mobile at the moment.
2. Will a BTU firmware https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G996B/BTU/G996BXXU4BULF work on my device
3. If I change the CSC only will the updates start working on right away?

Hi
Which region is better? i guess everyone has an opinion , myself any of the multi csc OXM
Regarding your questions
1 no idea
2 if a saw correctly you have a G-996B , it should work fine , BTU is a good choice
3 Yes it should , watch out , when you change the CSC you will factory reset the phone
If you use the dialer method , the CSC of choice has to be present in the rom installed in the phone , I can see you have an OXM so it should , if not , then you should flash an OXM first and the change to the desire CSC
With Samkey they recommend to flash the correct rom after changing the CSC
Backup before you do anything

Flashing firmware does no longer change CSC. If the dailer codes don't work you have to use paid Samkey service. I did and it works perfectly fine. Changed from TNL (T-Mobile branded) to VDF (Vodafone branded) and have full VoLTE/WiFi/Other carrier apps functionality including OTA updates now through Vodafone.

Question s22 ultra change firmware from uae to india

Hello. I bought an s22 ultra SM-S908E/DS in Dubai/UAE but I have now moved to India permanently. The phone lacks the CALL RECORDING feature. I hear also Samsung Pay India does not work. Not sure if there are any other issues. Please can someone guide me on how to change.
I tried an earlier post for an older phone - go recovery, factory reset, reboot with indian sim card - but this does NOT work. I've tried it twice now.
Is there another option available ? Can I download the latest India firmware from from the site below and upgrade the firmware using Odin ? Any specific settings or process to be considered ? It will also be useful to know if there is someone on this forum who has successfully migrated - and got the call recording enabled etc.
Download Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra SM-S908E INS India firmware
All Samsung firmwares for Galaxy S22 Ultra in India with model code SM-S908E. We offer free and fast download options. Check them out now.
www.sammobile.com
I will be very grateful for your assistance.
PS. Another post I read asked if the phone has 'test mode'. What is test mode ? Is this the test mode you get by typing *#0*# in the call option ? It does have it..
UAE and India both sharing OXM group so it doesn't make any difference by flashing firmware as both are same.
Using Indian SIM should be fine, if not, just factory reset with keeping Indian SIM installed should work, it's weirdo it doesn't work
Kindly post screenshot of setting - about phone - software info

Meanwhile, I called Samsung Care India ( Kerala ) and tried to ask if they can assist - and and they will not upgrade/change the firmware it seems - which I find quite strange.
Will try the firmware and advise update asap. I sincerely hope it is successful. The phone is still under warranty.... so very keen to know if someone has already successfully upgraded this.
PS. Also, I hear that the code *#*#27262826#*#* was used with earlier Android versions to get the CSC codes included in your phone. Is there something similar which displays for the s22 ultra running

Are you sure you have Indian SIM installed? Info doesn't showing Indian SIM
If still issue you can change CCS with this tool
Thanks for this info. Yes. Indian sim installed. Infact, did a reset both a BSNL sim and also with a Vi ( Vodafone-Idea ) sim - and yet - I don't have these.
So - please can you provide more detail on what needs to be done with this tool ? am I looking to change CSC only ? or FRP ? Please provide some detailed info if available - thanks.
As an update.. and for the benefit of others.
Samsung s22 ultra SM-S908E purchased in UAE ( XSG ).
Downloaded latest INS firmware files from sammobile. Used all files AP/BL/CP. Used CSC ( not home-csc). did not use the repartition option. Firmware went thru - however software remained as XSG.
Retried firmware with the repartition option - but Odin failed.
Thereafter, used the SamFw FRP Tool 3.31 and changed CSC to INS - which successfully changed for ins/ins,ins/xsg/xsg ( not sure if this is normal ).
But now, call recording function is now enabled. and no issues with Indian sim. I hope OTA updates will continue.
Will be keen to hear any further concerns or suggestions.

Yes - OTA updates are working. I have received atleast one since I upgraded. No other changes I can find as yet - except that the software shows a dual INS/INS,INS/XSG/XSG on my phone and I wonder what that means
Hi @imustbehuman,
I am also thinking of buying the dubai unit, want to know if 5G and Spay is working for you after csc change.
Also, for how much did you buy and from where.
Bought on Amazon. I believe Samsung pay works but I have not used it. Adding accounts etc definitely works fine. 5G works fine in Dubai but I have not tested in India ( as yet ) since my sim operator Vodafone does not have 5G in this area as yet. But if it works in one place - then it should work fine elsewhere as well.

Question Moto G Stylus 2022 5g Flashing XT2215-4

I have the Metro version 128gb/6gb ram. I already have it sim unlocked. I really dont like the Metro version and want to flash to the retail us unlocked version. I have limited experience in flashing so if anyone could help guide me It would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
You can still crossflash, but they are using unified builds so you'll get all the same apps enabled. No advantage afaict.
Thanks for quick reply. The one reason why I wanted to use the unlocked flash is because I WILL be using it on att soon. I figured it might work better and or be on att whitelist. Can you give me a crash course on cross flashing? I appreciate your time.
Doesn't work like that, changing the firmware won't effect how the phone presents itself to the carrier's network or the features your device has enabled. Only effects the software on the phone and TMO firmware already has all the US carrier apps and will enable the appropriate ones when you enter the sim(via the MCM Client app iirc). Retail used to come without carrier bloat and more Gapps, but this is not the case anymore.
Just download the firmware and use a tool that interprets the firmware xml to produce the appropriate fastboot commands.

Only risk flashing for your same model. ATT's variant is xt2215-2 and could cause missing features or even brick if you try flashing it. Crossflashing breaks firmware updates so you have to download the full update and flash with servicefile.xml manually.
Thank you

What you said are wrong.
Flashing the unlocked firmware will provide better carrier compatibility for other carriers such as ATT and Verizon. The original t-mobile/metro firmware blocks some features or makes it unusable at all for other carriers like ATT even after sim unlock.
In addition, after flashing unlocked firmware, there won't be any carrier bloatware installed and the boot animation won't be carriers' specific animation anymore.
BTW: Motorola is going to update the unlocked/retus firmware to even support 5G on carriers like ATT and Verizon.
Conclusion: flash the unlcoked retus version firmware to your metro version, and you will have the same best carrier compatibility as the factory unlocked version and the least bloatware. Both the metro/tmo and retus model numbers are the same XT2215-4 with exact same hardware, so you can fully convert to the unlocked version.

The most important thing to make sure is that you check the specs of the phone. There is a Mediatek version and a Qualcomm version. Flash the wrong one and you got a brick.

Just extract your firmware and script archives into the same folder and run flash.bat. You'll want the EN version for English.

I wonder how you guys got the Qualcomm one and somehow through magic Best Buy got the Mediatek one, lol. Normally all the Americans always get Qualcomm.
Will be hitting you up later @fddm about the VPN hotspot. Notice any changes in being detected in Android 11 or 12 that still allow throttling after your APN fix?

Please do your research.
