Hello buddy! It does not work, as the phone itself is a very tough phone to root. Kingroot and neither of the apps work.
Even flashing SuperSU [or any version of SuperSU] via TWRP or any recovery doesn't make any difference.
I will put a root file or a root prOcedure on this thread ASAP.
Just stay tuned!

okay

No buddy! Negative.
Because when root is impossible to get even after flashing any supersu zip file via twrp [the most complicated and HAS TO ROOT ANY DEVICE method], rooting it within just apk or exe root applications is absolutely nothing in comparison.
Neither of apks/exes work. I've tried all [don't even need to try, because while supersu doesn't get flashed, no other alternative would root a device]
Moreover i have found a Cyanogenmod 13 for this device which is pre rooted.
Will post it on the ROMs section soon. .

just bought the phone yesterday
do yo guys know how to back up this jellybean phone?
Hey guys, if you have FB we have a group with most of oHD users. Just search "CherryMobileOmegaHD" in FB (can't post links yet. sorry)
There are custom roms in the group, the usual rom cooked from dsdixda's kitchen (zipalign, deodexed, rm bloatwares)
@cyzarine
What do you mean with backup? We have the stock rom in the group, you might want to check it out.
Bummer! I'm stuck at step 3!

In need...
Woke up to a drained Omega HD today.
Plugged it in to have it charged.
Switched it on afterwards.
"OmegaHD" flashed before my eyes, followed by a blank screen with the familiar Cherry Mobile tune playing on the background. And then nothing! NO DISPLAY! I touch the screen and there are sounds playing to confirm each press, which means I am pressing on the right places -- only that there is NO DISPLAY APPEARING.
I switch it on and off, still the same results.
Wiped cache. Nothing... Since it's practically new, I go ahead and factory-restore the thing... still the same results. NO DISPLAY! :-S
What else can I do to this device to have it work properly?!
Have you installed any custom rom or any other zip files with your phone?

ClocworkMod recovery for XOLO A500

Hi,
XDA world....Another post by me for XOLO A500 users.
This post will help you to install Clockworkmod recovery on your xolo a500.
First and the foremost thing you need is a rooted device. If you haven't rooted your device please root it. Refer the following link on how to root your lava xolo a500.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39358817
Now download the XOLO A500 CWM Toolkit from download link given in the last.
1.) Extract the rar file to a folder anywhere on your computer.
2.) Open the folder and press shift key and right click(holding down the shift key) anywhere on the blank space of the screen and select "Open Command window here".
3.) You will see a command prompt window on the screen.
4.) Now connect your device via usb cable and enable usb debugging(Settings->Development->USB Debugging )
5.) Now Download the Quick Boot App from play store & install it in your Mobile. Open that App & click on Bootloader option.
6.) After sometime your phone will get stuck at the logo. (don’t panic)
7.) Now type on the cmd window:
fastboot devices(press enter)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Within a sec the process will get over & it will install the cwm recovery on you Xolo A500
So Enjoy, you have successfully installed CWM Recovery on your Xolo A500..
Now you can check whether your CWM is working or not:-
---Remove battery of your phone and reinsert.
---Press Power and Volume down key to boot into recovery mode.
Congrats, You have successfully installed Cwm 6 in your Lava A500
But there is a bug in this recovery that is not yet fixed. The bug is that when you boot your device into recovery mode the user language is Chinese...But not to worry...
Ignore the recovery mode...
Go to play store and download ROM Manager by clockworkmod. It has all the features which the recovery menu should be having.
1.) Open ROM Manager
2.) Go to Install Clockworkmod recovery.
3.) Scroll down to the last and you will see Device not listed option.Open it.
4.) A prompt will come.Press yes. And then choose option 3.x+ option.
And now you are ready to use your CWM Recovery on ROM Manager.

Hello dude,

It would be great if there was a video review done by you on you tube or where ever you are comfy.
The specs are awesome but there are some negative opinions as well.
This would help.

dear.......followed procedure....but... ( error is set warranty bit kernel..)...now any soln...pl reply..
thanxs with deep warm regards
I have the SM-C7018 version of this phone and, by following your guide, I was able to set up TWRP on Android 7.0 and flash GAPPS.
Thank you very much for this!
EDIT: Maybe it was just in my case, but for those of you that wish to install GAPPS on this device, keep in mind that you must not reset it to the factory conditions after installing GAPPS, as the Play services will FC once the phone boots up, and you will not be able to use it anymore. I had to re-flash the firmware. Also, I've used the Pico package, ARM x64, Android 7.0.
EDIT 2: Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to get the GApps working. The Google Framework Services would always crash when opening any google application for the first time or when trying to add the account from the Settings Menu. Anyone had any success with adding GApps on the Nougat firmware?

I want to try this but my phone (c701f-ds) never boots into download mode or recovery mode consistently. I bricked the phone trying to root it throught the magisk app, using this very version of twrp. I got it back. I was able to flash the original stock oreo rom using odin
But to get the phone back I didn't go through the (blue screen) Download Mode, Instaed I got into the recovery envoronment (very hit and miss) then chose to reboot into bootloader mode, where I saw it yellow at the top of the screen "download mode" but not the blue screen of the usual download mode.
In this bootloader/download mode environment I connected the phone to the laptop. Odin recognised the phone and I loaded the stock rom into AP, and the appropriate files into the other boxes (I used Home_CSC instead of CSS, essentila for getting VOLTE to work). It flashed successfully. (a status bar appeared on the phone which corresponded to the download process)
But that wasn't the method that anyone else recommended.
I would try flashing the twrp tar file in the same way but there is no guarentee I could get into the twrp environment since holding [VOLUME UP] + [HOME BUTTON] + [POWER] doesn't always, or even often, get me into recovery mode.
I can use adb to reboot into recovery and from there get into bootloader/download mode but not again if the os doesnt load
Any advice?
And you say that eventhough the phone is already in download mode, that after you connect the phone to the pc where odin is loaded and has initialized the tar file, you have to press and hold [VOLUME UP] + [HOME BUTTON] + [POWER] and then press start on Odin. Then continue to hold these 3 buttons till the phone reboots into twrp. Why not just press start on odin without holding these 3 buttons? If the phone just shuts off after flashing twrp, would turning it on by holding those 3 buttons bring the phone (except mine perhaps) into twrp recovery?
What happens if the phone doesn't boot into recovery/twrp? Is it bricked? And if it does boot into the os, could you use adb to get into twrp?
I am being cautious due to the difficulty in getting the phone back after bricking it last time and because there is no guarentee that an ke combos will definitely get my phone into recovery or download mode.
Help is appreciated.
