Probably not, there is need of an exploit, but this last only for root, if you want also custom recovery you will must unlock bootloader. No chance to bring back bootloader value to initial state and never there will be.

You can only root on 4.4.2 unlocking the bootloader is no longer an option

hello i managed to go back to android 5.1.1
with flashing the 5.1.1 kdz
i though that will brake the phone but worked fine

then flashed the rooted tot file
now i have root

I have a huawei p20 EML-L09 and i want to root my mobile. I saw a lot os posts, and it seems that actually is impossible to unlock this bootloader. But is possible to root without having the code? Maybe my question is so obviusly but i dont know.

Actually, no brand shares the official method for rooting the phone.
The rooting phone is commonly done by dev or advanced user. That's why I wonder if the rooting with the common method will be in use here. Only if we had the official and standalone release for ROM. The risk will be low & the chance will be high.
