[Q] HELP ! Downgrading from 4.4.4 to 4.4.2

Can anyone help me out in downgrading my moto g XT1033 from stock 4.4.4 to 4.4.2 .

Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 - I was on Gummy-M1.2-03-10-14-NIGHTLY-d2lte with pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.
I was on I upgraded the other day by flashing:
Furnace kernel 1.0.8-aosp_m8
Gummy-M2.3-07-15-14-NIGHTLY-d2lte
pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140608-signed
Only then did I find out that my 64GB external SD card is read-only and basically worthless in Android V4.4.4, (thanks a BUNCH, Google!!) (NOT!).
What is preventing people from being successful in downgrading back to 4.4.2? If re-flashing the old stuff isn't a good answer, do you know if a simple restore of my Nandroid backup would take it back?

Finally i was also able to downgrade to 4.4.2. Always when i tried to flash 4.4.2 as usual via fastboot i got stuck at the Bootloader unlocked Screen. Magically after flashing CM i was finanly able to downgrade to a working 4.4.2. Do not really know what happend and if it is somehow related. I'll try to reproduce it later..

I was able to downgrade from stock 4.4.4 to 4.4.2 but not any lower.

I'm not sure if it works if you're stock, but I used this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219 I flashed the Retail UK 4.4.2 with about 2300 downloads.

This guide worked for me too, although the first two commands returned as 'FAILED'. Proceeded with the other commands and worked fine :good:

hi all, since SSU it not working for lollips devices, its there any other alternative to unlick my sim for international GSM use??

Why not Odin back to KitKat? I do it with the S4, S5, Note 3.... it worked. Try it.

If ur on 5.1 you cant roll back ur Bootloader nor can you downgrade back to KK

Also, how are you going to flash a ROM with the bootloader locked in marshmallow, since bootloader locked in mm = no root and no flashing ROMs? i bricked send it to lg and i hope it will get fixed by warranty as far of lock boot loader the phone failed while flashing rom and the partitions where changed so when i was flashing stock Rom was stuck at 9 percent on lg up and i read on forums a lot have the same problem maybe i will not root again lg g flex 2 stock marshmallow to be safe in my other phones the rooting process was easy now i dot want to brick it again sorry guys il try to make mods from v10 for 5.1.1 nothing more for you guys me i will not use it im guess root break this phone partitions so sorry

Well, at least you tried. Thanks for that. If you ever decide to look into unlocking the G Flex2's bootloader, make sure to update us

lets just hope for 7.0. I know LG firmware can get up to v30. so far we have v20 mallows

Please notice that actually we can unlock it very easy as we have have root and flashfire!

Flashfire may work at least backing up all partitions.
I believe it still needs a custom recovery to flash but I haven't gotten my device yet. Will be here in a few days.

I would LOVE if someone could actually upload the STOCK AT&T LG G3 Marshmallow tot/kdz. I paid off my G3 and now I am stuck on Lollipop, thanks AT&T

Does someone have the stock kernel (boot.img/bin, whatever) for D850 marshmallow?
You can get it by temporary rooting your devie with kingroot and backing up the kernel with flashify

+1 Would love to have the OEM marshmallow rom so the camera will work correctly. Always had weird issues with CM13 and other ROMs. Can't get it since I'm on a tmobile sim card.

Just root, custom recovery and install fulmics rom. That carries same MM stock base with thr bloatware removed. Not a single issue on my D850 so far

Ok, i have had enough searching. Im gonna return my g3 to complete stock and try to update it to marshmellow, root it, and compile it to a flashable rom.

I cant upgrade my g3 due to my v10 sim card not being the same one my g3 requires. Ill continue though to scout for a stock mm rom.

Hello. I'm kinda a noob (i admit).
I'm going to root my G5 and by reading the threads i figured out that i have to downgrade to 20a in order to root my phone ( im running on 20c currently).
Do i have to downgrade? If yes, how?
I know i have to use "LG Up" but i couldn't find a good place for downloading the 20a flashable zip.

Yes, you must downgrade to 20A to root and install TWRP.
Here's the link for 20A:

nope. it will stay locked. best way is to have it unlocked by TMO or some 3rd party unlocking services. Mine is sim locked too.
