Android Market not working after gingerbread update

Any idea of what can be happening and how to solve it??

One word: ELABORATE

What do u mean bu that??? I'm new to Android, i have searched in Google but can't find an answer

explain in detail what the issue is, the new market is bugged and laggy. Best bet, downgrade to previous version. Also you might just have to log back in, using your Google account.

Elaborate on what don't work. That could mean a hundred things. Does it error? Does it not load? Does it not connect? Does it not download apps? I think you get what elaborate now means.

Sorry I didn't explain in detail before.
The problem I'm having is that after I updated my phone to gingerbread, I tryed using the market and I was receiving a message like Application Timeout or something like that(don't remember what the exact message was).
Before the update, the phone was using the version showed in the image below and it was working fine

Try that out.

Two things you can try. First go to your app drawer and hit the menu button and select "Remove app". Use the "All" tab and find "Market". Select "Market" and select "Force Stop" and then "Clear Data". Try the market again.
If that doesn't work then install the newest version that I have uploaded here. It is version 3.1.5.

After successful factory reset, needed as unable to connect to network, gingerbread installed with older version of market. Talked with HTC. Performed all of the suggestions but still no update. Inspire not rooted. Can I safely download the current market version that was in this post?

Yes you can. It will download and install fine.

Just a thought; I have found out that while trying different sense-based roms, that I had to have the "Google Talk" app installed in order to access the market. (Some roms don't have the apk/app installed. The error message I received was "network timeout".
This is not the case with every rom, however It seems to be my common problem when I get that error message.

[HELP] Unable to add google account

Hi guys,
I have my sister's Huawei y300-0100 rooted, unlocked bootloader and kept stock rom. I deleted some apps that she doesn't want to use, mostly google's, but lately all rest gapps that are left (gmail, youtube and playstore) just exit and/or FC...
The problem is she can't add google account anymore, because i've must deleted it's .apk accidently and I don't know which is it

on image headline says ˝adding account˝ and there are skype, whatsapp and viber accounts, but there's no ˝+˝ or ˝add new account˝ option so now she can't add google account.

Well I guess, do a factory reset to restore system apps and gapps. Backup first!

Factory reset only formats data, not re download it, u could flash stock firmWare again @93Obi

I thought about it, but a lot of comments in stock fw download pages report losing IMEI or nottification panel after restocking...also it involves losing all installed apps by me and it's data (factory reset), and it all turns me back from that, so restocking is my final resort. On the other hand, finding and installing a speciffic .apk file which allows adding an account seems to be less troublesome. What do you think about that? Thanks for replying...

You could dirty flash the stock rom again, or, if it is in a UPDATE.APP format, try to find a replacement for the lost app

would sideloading Gapps again help? I imagine this may allow you to readd a google account,
you can find the APK easily enough if you google "gapps", the first link is to the cyanogenmod page and they have links there to apks for different versions of anroid

Can't download Amazon app!!! Not compatible

I did a factory reset then started downloading my apps, but amazon app says my phone isn't compatible with this version, which i had before the factory reset!!

That's odd. I know it's not much help but I installed it without any issue.
What region/country is your phone's ROM? Also have you tried an older version of the Amazon app or downloaded it directly from Amazon?

Had the same happen to me. One day it wasn't compatible, the next day it was compatible but couldn't load any images, then back to being incompatible again.
I gave up and just used Hermit to create a web app. Works perfectly.

Did you download the latest version of Amazon App directly from Amazon?

I don't know if it's related, but I had issues getting the Amazon app to show my apps. The solution was to update to the latest Chrome browser. Then everything worked. If you don't have the lastest Chrome browser installed or updated, maybe do that first and then try installing Amazon again.

You have to make sure Google Play Services gets updated.

Did you ever find an official solution for your issue as I'm having the same issue.

You can download Amazon Underground app from amazon site instead of google play. It works fine on mine.

Thanks a lot for your solution. I'm already using the underground-app but it makes me nervous that my phone seems to have some ID that isn't known to the play-store.

Those reports must be going to a spam folder in HTC's system because android 9 has a lot of bugs to fix and here we are, waiting for an update to fix them (update that never will come)

also a screwed up sd card will cause issues, remove it and check again ,propably not causing yours but doesnt hurt to try, hth
