Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Lag - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Samsung Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5113) is very laggy at an Antutu score of 16000 I'm running ResurrectionRemix v5.7.4 over clocked with the CPU and GPU to the max. Is anyone else is having performance issues?

That's the limit of the tab bud, either deal with it or buy a new one

Hi, which kernel do you use to overclock? Dhollmen isn't working on any of the newer roms (i'm currently also on ResurrectionRemix v5.7.4)

I
You could use Android Andi's AnyKernel but I haven't noticed any better performance.

Try black hawk next kernel in tab 10.1 dev forums it is ultra fast and it has oc
Hit thanks if helped I am a thanks monster !!!!!!!!!!
After that do I use setcpu or an other app to overclock? Or is it already preset in the kernel?
hi,
both Blackhawk an Dhollmen kernels allow OC.
I've tried them on CM 10.2 and both work fine and smoothly.
Blackhawk at boot sets CPU at 1GHz (so you have to manually raise it), Dhollmen is already set at 1.2GHz (moreover, Dhollmen also lower cpu voltage).
Of course, to fine tune the clock you can use apps like Trickstermod, System Tuner, etc...
thanks guys I desided to go with Dhollmen's kernel and leave it at 1.2ghz...
Seem to be a good deal faster.
thanks again

I use the blackhawk. ( Zap_Blaster v2.2 )
Why the blackhawk, because its not always useful or wise to push the cpu
If you just a "normal" user, you won't get mutch out of it only that it drains your baterylife a lot faster.
i only tickel the cpu when i want to play a heavy game.
otherwise, i just leave the cpu on his default.

For Ace plus s7500l, and what if i use custom kernel like GellyBread_Rom_V1http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221767 on cyanogenmod kitkat http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=771844, because cyanogenmod kitkat is using giugiu kernel and is giving me some trouble in my phone:fingers-crossed:. Thanks for your time

Battery is dead after 4 hours of gaming/browsing or standby?? Use Performance Control to set up the kernel right Android 4+ uses virtual ram taht may slow down the performance. Set swappiness in vm settings to 30. Keep in mind that zRam should be not more than 25% of the physical ram. Set sdcard read value to 512kb or 2048kb. Try different combinations of scheduler/governour. Don't overclock the cpu/gpu if the device already becomes hot.
In many cases the presetted kernel config is just kinda crappy and you can gain a lot by matching it to your needs

I just checked the phone's thread: There are so many roms available. Probably Neither GB nor this cra... CM11 will do it for you...
This looks good: KitKat SpeedMod
There is also a custom CM11 kernel --> LINK

Kitkat Speedmod is for Ace s7500 and my version is s7500L
As you know, you're clever - me not Just a moment please
You got the Latin American version. Its made for other Cellular Networks than the international version
CM10.1 with 2.6 based kernel --> LINK should work better than the CM11 build
And a alternative CM 10.1.3 build --> LINK

[Kernel] Samsung Galaxy SII Plus

Is there a Kernel that works on CM13 for Samsung Galaxy SII Plus? I didn't find anyone surfing in the net.
I tried Mosh Kernel, but my device goes in bootloop.
Any kernel that works with AOSP 6.0.1 that supports overclocking higher than 1.3 GHz?

Should I update from CM13

It's been a solid year since I've updated my tab 10.1's rom, and it's slowed down a bit (mainly because of RAM), so I wanted to ask the community should I update from CM13?
I'm looking for a rom with these qualities:
- Android 6.0+
- Themes
- Fast and light
- Can be OC'd
- Compatible w/ Xposed

Yeah
Custom kernels aren't supported anymore, meaning oc kernels like dhollmen won't work with newer roms. You'll need to get an older rom but it won't have security updates or better optimization on the tab

If you want best performance. Try KitKat ROM. I am using CM 11 since 2 months performance is pretty good

There is no working OC Kernel anymore.
You can use some 2 years old device specific builds with old OC Kernel only.
UA doesn't have a theme manager - it's almost pure AOSP and won't have any extras added in future (maybe an integrated Updater only).

Overclock RR 5.7.4

Is there a custom kernel needed to over clock RR 5.7.4 on my gt p3100
How do I overclock it?
nobody answer because there is no custom kernel available to overclock the latest roms.
only chance, build your own kernel.
Sent from my PRA-LX1 using XDA Labs

Yes there is ! You want speed right? If you do then install noob kernel. It's made for giving only speed but it also increases battery life ( if it's physically good)
