Should I update from CM13 - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It's been a solid year since I've updated my tab 10.1's rom, and it's slowed down a bit (mainly because of RAM), so I wanted to ask the community should I update from CM13?
I'm looking for a rom with these qualities:
- Android 6.0+
- Themes
- Fast and light
- Can be OC'd
- Compatible w/ Xposed

You can go for Lineage OS 13.0 but it is not over clocked

Overclocking is needed imo on the Tab 2

I don't know over clocked kernel is available or not. You want performance?

Yeah

Custom kernels aren't supported anymore, meaning oc kernels like dhollmen won't work with newer roms. You'll need to get an older rom but it won't have security updates or better optimization on the tab

If you want best performance. Try KitKat ROM. I am using CM 11 since 2 months performance is pretty good

There is no working OC Kernel anymore.
You can use some 2 years old device specific builds with old OC Kernel only.
UA doesn't have a theme manager - it's almost pure AOSP and won't have any extras added in future (maybe an integrated Updater only).

Depends on your needs. Install twrp, make a backup of current rom and test yourself

Best performance on HTC PICO

Hi. How get maximum performance on Pico? I mean fastest ROM and OC kernel (safe, with partition sdcard). I want Cm 10.x and @878MHz (this no needed, i only like ant want it but if you have something with better performance, i will get it )
Don't Compare ROMS!
No offense but, You don't ask which rom is better. I've seen many threads closed due to that kind of question. Developers try very hard to develop a stable rom for our pico & all you do is ask about only the best one without even giving others a try..you should try & decide yourself, it's not that difficult..anyways, using pll2 overclock kernel boosts the performance..there's no other way to improve performance that much.
But some roms is faster and some slower. Some kernels (with pll2 overclocking) giving more performance. I'm asking with which rom and which kernel i will get highest performance. I'm not asking which rom is better
Example:
minimilised rom is faster than unofficial cm 10.2 . Aries kernel on 844MHz giving more performance than pandora @878MHz.
You understand me?

build 5,6,7 give weird lags sometimes specially with oc kernel, and there's a benchmark difference too ..that's why I use build 4. Use aries 3.5 by @rcane from minicm9 thread.

Battery is dead after 4 hours of gaming/browsing or standby?? Use Performance Control to set up the kernel right Android 4+ uses virtual ram taht may slow down the performance. Set swappiness in vm settings to 30. Keep in mind that zRam should be not more than 25% of the physical ram. Set sdcard read value to 512kb or 2048kb. Try different combinations of scheduler/governour. Don't overclock the cpu/gpu if the device already becomes hot.
In many cases the presetted kernel config is just kinda crappy and you can gain a lot by matching it to your needs

There is also a custom CM11 kernel --> LINK

As you know, you're clever - me not Just a moment please
You got the Latin American version. Its made for other Cellular Networks than the international version
CM10.1 with 2.6 based kernel --> LINK should work better than the CM11 build
And a alternative CM 10.1.3 build --> LINK

[Kernel] Samsung Galaxy SII Plus

Is there a Kernel that works on CM13 for Samsung Galaxy SII Plus? I didn't find anyone surfing in the net.
I tried Mosh Kernel, but my device goes in bootloop.
Any kernel that works with AOSP 6.0.1 that supports overclocking higher than 1.3 GHz?

......I wouldnt ask if I wanted stock. Phone gets too hot with normal use and there isn't many tweaks I can make to make it cooler.
The kernel is cm based.
Btw. there is no aosp kernel for the oneplus one. We have 4 different types. Based on CM; based on Sultans CAF kernel; based on omnirom; based on Color OS.

Lightning Kernel v22 (updated to 23 now) and Lightning kernel based on Linux kernel v3 works for me with exodus. Personally prefer the latter. Boeffla didnt boot for me with exodus and i didnt try any caf kernels.
If you have heating issues you may want to try the 6th June build if you arent using it already
Heat issue does exist in build may 23 - june 1.. Even if you change the kernel.
Check your current build.. Update to the latest one

Lineage 16 with ~2ghz underclock mostly stock

Seeking one of the recent Android 8 or 9 ROMs but similar to sultanxda's ROM which had the cpu clocked down for battery savings. Are any of them daily-driver worthy / stable?

I'm pretty sure you'll like this zip
It clocks the CPU down no matter what ROM you're using!
EDIT: sorry, I was wrong, I forgot one thing. This zip will work with all Oreo ROM's but it won't work on LineageOS-based Pie ROM's. It might work with some AOSP-based P ROM's such as POSP. I'll make a newer one that works with all Pie ROM's when I have time.

Hey Tomoms, I don't want to put haste or anything, but I would like to know if by chance you have already realized the zip in question, I'm interested too cause I'm currently using your kernel but I'd rather prefer using the Lineage stock one with underclocked CPU so I can use built-in battery profiles when needed since I don't have root and can't customize your kernel.
Thank you!
