Laggy after ota update

Twitter is all abuzz saying the mt4g is laggy after a OTA update. Mine seems to be running fine.. can anyone else confirm of deny these reports? Thanks and aloha from Hawaii

I'm almost sure you're poting this in the wrong section, but anyway.... My phone seems to be fine after the update. Tell you the truth I'm even getting a better Quadrant score after I got it.

My phone won't even update. I have the notification in my pull down but when I click on it, it doesn't do anything. Anyone else getting this?

No OTA update for me yet; T-Mo customer care was clueless about this one as well. Do you guys know the phone number code to pop into the dialer to "force" the phone to pull it?

Just got the OTA update and haven't noticed any weird lag.
The first major thing I noticed, it looks like its a 2.2 -> 2.2.1 upgrade. Not sure what else has changed/been fixed.

I'm getting a lot more lag since the update. And after restarting...
It's looking a lot smoother. Hopefully it stays like this!

I know it fixed the double bar in the browser. I dont know what else though.

Woohoo, got the update overnight, but no noticeable lag. I do feel like my data is faster for some reason.

still no update.. got my phone yesterday at around 11am. did the *#*#checkin#*#* and nothing. ideas?

no lag after the update here. it did upgrade to the latest version of android, from 2.2 to 2.2.1

got the update last night, no issues here though it seems to run smoother

I normally keep my phone with wifi on at home overnight, but because updates don't come through wifi (cell data only), I'd recommend leaving your wifi off and doing that checkin one more time.

Update Server down

Hey All I dont know if it means anything, or if its just my phone....but I activated my thunderbolt today and it got to almost being done downloading a firmware update but failed at the last second for some reason or another. No biggie I would try it again later when I got home, anyways I tried it an hour later when I got home and it told me the update server is down to try again later....same thing tonight (thats not the exact message but its something similar) anyways is it down for everyone? I am hoping they are prepping gingerbread...but I am not holding out hope

Down here in Ohio as well...it would be great if a fix was coming for reboots and slow gps.

I tend to avoid software updates unless they are really necessary. Anyone done this one yet? See anything new?

I'll download the update this afternoon in between classes and will come back if I notice anything that is worth mentioning. would do it now but I need it for my class in a little while and from what that page says the update takes a while.

Well strangely enough I'm at school and it's saying there is no update so I'll do it later tonight.

False alarm for me. What I thought was a firmware update was actually a kies update since I looked at it too quick before leaving this morning. Nor wonder I couldn't find the update at school...

the update keeps on popping up for me, but I am skeptical. Haven't touched it yet and I think if it's not ICS, I'll pass

Marshmallow update error 411 download unsuccessful

I have been trying to update my wife's bone stock S6 to Marshmallow today. When I check for updates, it shows that it is available. I tell it to download and I immediately get an "update failed to download". It does it on both wifi and lte. I've tried rebooting. Does anyone know what causes this error or how I can get the update installed? Is the update file out there to download it so I could do a manual flash?

This is From Verizon support:
"We have had a couple other customers chat in with the same issue (in the past 10 minutes) and we did confirm with Samsung that the Marshmallow update is on hold right now because of some bug fixes. They do not have an estimated time for the release of the update yet but once it is known it will become public."

We've been had. Jokes on is! Good one, Samsung assholes!

This is pure bull ****. Same problem here, update unsuccessful. Just great. 20 months later and I still can't get it, bad enough I can't root... wah.

They'll probably take another few months to release it again. Google really needs to put pressure on the providers to release these updates quicker.
Scratch that. About a half hour after my comment above, the update is downloading.

Was getting the same error. I just powered my phone off then turned it back on. Update screen popped up and it's downloading now.

Yep. I'm on Marshmallow now.

This if ****ing retarded. Ive downloaded like 10 times and it fails between 1-30% every ****ing time. WTF!!!

I just noticed that I am on the April 2nd Security patch. I wonder if those that updated yesterday are showing a different patch level. Was there actually a bug that Verizon was able to pull, fix, and re-release in only hours? That has to be a record.

Anyone know where I can find the odin files for this?

Verizon s8+ not getting update requests from Galaxy App

Hi,
I am really curious if I am just not in line yet or for some other reasons are not receiving galaxy app updates.
The update list is blank for the phone and gear. Seems to check just fine.
I never got a pop up for DQA resolution or the ICS Bixby update people are seeing. I am curious if anyone who took the OTA last week from VZ is seeing the same behavior...

I am on AT&T but I am having the same issue.... got the phone Tuesday night and took system update that night... since then I have been getting the DQA error whenever connected to WiFi... have not gotten the patch from Sammy yet and no Bixby patch.... What Gives???

Here is the apk for the update. It got rid of the dqa error for me

Thanks. Doesn't solve the overall question of why we aren't being pushed these small G apps updates.
