Thank you in advance

Does the phone otherwise work fma normal boot?
What exactly were you erying to Factory Reset? Let's hope it wasn't Stock partition…

Can you boot into TWRP?

Have you tried running an RUU?

[Q] Htc chacha stuck on boot screen

My ChaCha is stuck at HTC boot screen. i have done factory reset, battery pulls and installing ROMS to no avail. I keep getting errors while trying to install the stock ROMS. Am I going about it the right way, trying to find ROMs or Is there something else I can do to solve this problem.

Yes, I have root and can boot to recovery. I already tried clearing the dalvik cache and factory reset. i also restored from a Nandroid backup, all this to no avail. The boot loop problem still persist.
i also tried flashing ROM but all the ROMs i got gives one error or the other. I really need help.

SuPrimo v23 with CDMA Converter v15

I installed these to my girlfriends one v from Virgin and am having problems. I have a one x and an atrix before so I am not new to rooting. This has me stumped. I bootloader unlocked, rooted and installed twrp via fastboot. I installed kernel in fastboot that was in the converter zip, then I installed the rom and converter in twrp. I am now in a constant bootloop. I have read that the bootloop is caused by not installing the boot image in fastboot, but I have done this. I know there are a lot of threads of this but I still have not find a solution to my problem. I actually in the process of using the Sprint/Virgin ruu as I am typing this to try again with a fresh start. Is there anything I am missing? Thank you very much in advance.
Edit: Sorry I didn't realize I was in the One X forum, it is 330am right now ><. Can a Mod please move this to the Q&A of the One V please. Thank you

Did a factory reset, cache and dal vic in both twrp then cwm after. I even tried a different rom and still boot loop after ruuing, so I ruued twice last night. Funny thing is I have never ruued my one X and the first night I try to flash stuff on the one v that happens.
All is well now. I wen to sleep for a fresh start to this. I factory wiped, wiped cache, dalvic and system. I flashed rom and converter, then fastboot flashed boot image. Now all is working. :highfive:

Thank you so much, never using a toolkit again. BTW is it normal that that it fails to mount/cache when trying to flash a rom or anything for that matter?

Wiped phone

O.K. I accidentally wiped my phone, while trying to install a new rom. I have recovery mode, but there's nothing on the phone. The "stock" recovery is also gone. I was trying to install the Optimus G3 v 1.2, and it all went south. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Phone was totally wiped. I still had recovery mode, but nothing in recovery, so i needed to restore the phone with terminal commands. I don't know how to do terminal commands, so i took the phone to someone who does. Thanks.
sorry I did not understand you problem in full. Because i do not understand the word total wipe. Because either the custom recovery or the stock recovery will last even if you perform a full wipe or so called factory reset (if that what you mean by total wipe ) . Anyway i have found some links for you. They might answer you .

Sorry if you didn't understand me. What i meant was that my phone's information, everything on the phone, was accidentally erased. I brought it to someone who will put a recovery rom back on the phone, and from there i can get it back to where i had it, before i erased all my information. I have since learned that i could have fixed the phone myself, if i had a USB-OTG cable and a flash drive. These items i will purchase, and this problem will never happen again. Thanks.

[HELP!] Not booting after stagefright update!

Hi guys, can somebody help me? I received the stagefright update this morning and after downloading it and rebooting, the phone stopped working. It shows the logo animation for a few seconds then the screen goes black. It's a rooted and unlocked phone so i don't know if thats the cause. Also, i can access the recovery mode pressing power and down. Other than that nothing.
If you were rooted and updated ya..the rooting may be the reason
So as you can access the bootloader just flash the stock rom back and you will be done with it..

Mod will move or merge.
Sent from my MotoG3 using XDA Free mobile app
Technically, it should not install at all if it's been rooted. It's interesting that Moto has let this slip by.
In the future, if you have made a single change in the system partition...root, build.prop edit....anything...even custom recovery or kernel...you should reflash your current factory image, reboot, then flash your updated factory image. It's VERY IMPORTANT you reboot between flashing one factory image and the next, though. You may have more issues if you don't.

Not if you only flash the system, boot and recovery image files
Recover the factory
I did the update and as mentioned previously on the thread stales after the logo. (bootloader is unlocked)
I can not find my oem backup. I tried twrp on recovery and was able to backup other stuff. Is there a way to generate the OEM so that i can flash or any other roms that are compatible with Moto G 3rd generation?
Try wiping cache, dalvik cache and data with TWRP. Don't use stock recovery for the data wipe or you will lose all the files stored on your internal partition, as well.
