Dear Friends,
My Desire S that I bought from Vodafone in Turkey was bricked today. I have S-Offed the device and installed Revolution Bootloader 5 months ago. It was working without any problem. But today, when I hooked it up to the computer, it just froze. I pulled the battery out and put it back. Surprise !! Surprise !!
No power at all. It also is not charging and charging led is not on when connected to an external power. Only reaction I get is a USB tone when I connect it to USB port on the computer. Other than that, device is totally bricked.
Any possible solutions that you know of ??
First try to see if you are actually bricked or not...i mean can you boot into bootloader or recovery??if so then try resetting your phone from recovery

I already tried power and volume down. No response. Any other suggestions to boot into bootlader or recovery ??

Do you know how to use adb? Theres a guide here somewhere about it. You can use that to do whatever with your phone. But I myself dont know much about it. I can redirect you to the link where it is. See if you find it handy.

I will give it a try. Fingers crossed
Error: Device not found
FYI - Drivers and SDK Kit are already installed..
You need to install device specific driver which comes with htc sync software. After installing htc sync if you dont need the sync software just remove it leaving the drivers intact. Okay?

I'll prequel all of this by stating that I am a complete noob to the Android. After reading the stickies to this forum (correct me if I'm wrong), flashing the device sounds promising, but I don't know if that solution is even applicable to my problem. I'm worried I've completely bricked my HTC One X. Any help would be greatly appreciated and here's everything I can tell you about the situation.
The phone is an HTC One X Endeavor. When turned on, it shows the boot screen (HTC-quietly brilliant). Holding the power and the down volume buttons reveals the bootloader menu. The phone is unlocked and the problem occurred after an attempt to root the device. When I plug it into my computer I hear the sound that signals I've connected a new device, but under My Computer it brings up a CD drive, which can't be browsed.
If I pull up the bootloader menu while it is plugged into my laptop, this text comes up on the screen briefly:
checking sd card update
sd checking
failed to open usb master mode
loading pj46img.zip
failed to open usb master mode
please plug off usb
After running through that it just goes to HBOOT. I can still access FASTBOOT and all that, but nothing seems to work. Is there any way to revive my HTC?
You're in the wrong forum, this is the HTC One XL forum. You need to ask in the HTC One X forum, we don't know enough about your phone here, sorry.

You also seem not to be bricked just noobish.
Thank you for the responses and apologies for posting in the wrong forum. I misread "Rogers HTC One X" to be my model. I'll take this to the right forum and again thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
¬edit¬ I've had another look through the forums and if someone would be find enough to point me to the proper forums for my problem then I'd appreciate it. I've searched these and found similar topics regarding the HTC One X so thought this was the right place to ask.

I rooted my phone and unlocked it used the all in one tool kit.
my phone is htc one s (s4)
I can get into bootloader / fastboot menu I can get into twrp, when I connect usb it says "fastboot usb in red" in the fastboot boot loader menu so that should be connected but its not. Only time it connects is in twrp, my computer will detect "htc mtp device" it shows up fine in device manager, but after about 10 secs the device is no longer be detected and yellow ! will show over "htc mtp device" in device manager. What is weird even more is I can run certain command with adb " adb devices" tells me its connected but it wont sideload or fastboot , it just says "waiting for device". I can restart the usb by "adb usb", it will temporary install and run but 10sec or so later is disconnects and yellow! will show over "htc mtp device" in the device manager. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Is my phone a hard brick now?
Please help me.
Thank you very much.

Hi everybody, i am really sorry about my english i hope you guys can understand what i am trying to say.
a few mounths ago i rooted my Htc one m8 using the AIO toolkit. I flashed it with the TWRP 2.7.0.2 recovery.
Last week i wanted to update my Htc and found a guide how to update but i messed up. It said something like that I have to remove the root then install a file they had on their site on my phone.( I can't say which guide it was because i don't have the pc i used last week to do this.)
After i did that my Htc got stuck in a bootloop- I can access the Fastboot menu but when i choose Recovery or Factory reset option my phone just reboots but doesnt get past the HTC logo.
I am trying fixing it with the AIO toolkit but an error message shows up saying "device not found" or
"waiting for device" my pc is on windows vista an recognizes my phone- I installed the right drivers and on the fastboot menu it says "fastboot usb" highlighted in red.
I am a really noob at this so have you guys any idea how I can fix this? Why do i get the message "device not found" , when my pc recognized my phone and all the drivers are installed?
And also my pc is in safe mod with network because i get a blue screen when booting the normal way-
Do you think thats why i get the error message " device not found"?
Phone htc one m8 verizon. The device was brick.I can not write any code at the command line. The device resets as the video
What could be the problem?
What should I do?
