Hello
I am very happy to see this game here ,
I got one request, can you please add the GFX and SND folders as attachment so that we can download easily on Android and use it directly without pc at all
Please provide those files for us to download
Hi, we don't distribute the assets I'm afraid as we don't own them. They are easy to get if you have access to a computer though, you just need an original copy of the game or if you don't have that, you can download the Amazons demo.
More info here in the prerequisites section https://www.settlers-android-clone.com/download/
It's worth it
Sure ,I will give it a try and tell my experience with it
But thank you for creating this
Maybe this project should create their own baseset for game graphics? Just like openttd with their opengfx
This is great ,but Dose it work on tablets ?
I tried the game but it lags a lot in my phone, my phone is Motorola g4 plus with Snapdragon 625

Yes this would be nice, we are talking about producing certain higher resolution graphics already. Mainly for various menu parts to begin with.

Yep it should work on pretty much all Android devices running 4.4+. The Android controls work well on devices of all sizes, but 7-10 inch tablets are a particularly nice way to play thanks to the extra screen size.

Already bookmark the site. Because looking for data fron the pc game and copying it to our devices is pain, not talking about who don't own the game

It can be a bit slow for the first minute, I think it is doing some extra calculations in the background at this point. Also later in the game when more stuff is happening it can start to slow down on older phones. For me it runs much better on my Samsung 10.1 2014 tablet on on my S5. I suspect on good devices less than a year old it runs much better still. There are probably optimisations that can be made to improve performance on mobile devices.
Work has started on implementing Team games. This will work for both singleplayer and multiplayer ?
Hopefully this will be available in the nightly builds sometime soon.
Boss,
This game has got a lot of potential, it's very good
But like I said it lags even on a good phone like Moto g4 plus
It's very good news to hear that further development is going on , hoping to see this improve to be the best rts for Android
Please improve it
Team games now working in single player mode.
Currently being worked on are
- multiplayer team games
- ships for transport and trading.
Check out the nightly builds to try the latest additions. Android and desktop versions both available in the nightlies.
https://github.com/jsettlers/settlers-nightlies
How to get the download link of nightly builds in
https://github.com/jsettlers/settlers-nightlies
Go to View Code then there will folders "master" and "pull requests" master contains more stable builds, pull requests are the latest features. Keep going into these folders then choose the date you want and download the zip file containing the apk
E.g.
https://github.com/jsettlers/settlers-nightlies/tree/gh-pages/master/2017-07-12_20-58-38__e3e8390
Nice ,I will definitely try
The game has improved a lot but building icons not seen at all and the lagging has reduced but still need improvement with the lagging
But the game has become very good
Below is screenshot of no building icons bug seen in latest master version
That's not the latest version, install this. https://github.com/jsettlers/settlers-nightlies/tree/gh-pages/master/2017-07-12_20-58-38__e3e8390
Can wait to try this out.
Also if there are other mac users that want to try this out the exe is just a self extractor so you just need an archive utility that supports the format. I used KeKa.
old but gold game <3 can i play it in german cause i watch the video on the website and it was in german but the screenshots here show´s me english stuff ???

Over the last 3 weeks I ported the lua code from Pax Britannica to Android. I used libgdx for that. I only implemented the two player mode so far. There are also some differences in the speed of the units. This is because of the smaller screen resolution and the so decreased distance between the factorys.
Pax Britannica is a one-touch real-time strategy game by No Fun Games. Two players battle it out underwater, struggling to be the last one standing!
How to Play
Select your ship to start a battle against the computer. Select two ships to start a local multiplayer battle.
Touching your game area (Left screen for player 1, right screen for player 2) spins the needle on the radial menu in the middle of the player's factory ship. The needle will only travel as far as the player's current resources allow. Resources (gold? seaweed? who knows!) accumulate over time.
Releasing the touch creates a ship that corresponds to the quadrant that the needle is pointing at.
Fighter: Small, fast and cheap. Great at chasing down bombers.
Bomber: Shoots slow projectiles that do massive damage to frigates or enemy factory ships!
Frigate: A great hulk of a ship that fires volleys of heat-seeking torpedoes. Effective against fighters.
Upgrade: Improve your factory ship to accumulate resources more quickly.
Ships you spawn fight automatically using the latest in artificial aquatelligence technology. The player who keeps their factory ship alive wins!
This is a complete rewrite/port of the orginal game available for Windows, Mac OS X and GNU/Linux:

works very nice on my SGS2. ty!
Game looks interesting. No issues so far.
Does someone got a Motorola Defy? The Defy seems to have input problems... :/
Works well on my HD2. Very cool game. With some added multiplayer over the net would make it amazing.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
works awesome on my Nexus One
Works fine on Nexus One GRJ22. Maybe our screen is a little small for this game, but that's all.
First time i've tried this game and I think it's great
I agree that multi-device multiplay would take it to a whole new level
No errors or anything so far.
This is really good, just needs better graphics
Realy cool game and works great on my desire. Need some level adjustment because it is to easy to win

I cant install on my nexus S... the market dont allow that.
Worked fine on Samsung Galaxy S but wasn't available on market for ZTE Light (V9 tablet)

I really like the game!
It's the most simple game (control-wise) I've ever seen but I just keep playing it
- Some kind of level system would be awsome (keep upgrades but harder or different enemies fe.). At the moment it's a bit repetative vs cpu.
- Multi-device MP sounds cool.
- Could you have 3 or 4 player/cpu battles?
Keep up the good work!

Cheers!
Awesome port man. Maybe turn up the difficulty a little (same prob I have with the OG) but other then that perfect. 10/5
Fun game, really simple controls and is addictive!
I'd like to have it look nice on qHD screens though (for my phone), could you post the source for me to try doing that? Thanks!
Can it be posted on internet for multiplayer mode?

ORIGINAL RUSSIAN FORUM THREAD
A great port of RTCW based off the quake 3 engine. Currently in Beta/Rc form its a great addition to Android!!
Short Description:
The legendary game id Software on the Quake III engine is now on Android. Description: Return to Castle Wolfenstein - PC game, first person shooter, developed by id Software, Gray Matter Interactive, Nerve Software and published by Activision November 20, 2001 exclusively for personal computers running operating systems Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS. player will have to go in the shoes of Agent-2 from the organization Office of Secret Actions (OSA) named William "BJ" Blazkovich, who was the protagonist of Wolfenstein 3D . by this port - I, native-part of the port based on kwaak3, and JNI + Java part I rewrote again, because I could not live with krivosti kwaak3 (though maybe I'm kind of surpassed it in terms of the curvature). As you know, Return to Castle Wolfenstein under GPL license, source code will be available after publication on Google Play. However, until such time as I am satisfied with the rating on Google Play, I'll be posting the source code only on price support (under license), and the Russian Post ... you get the idea. On HTC One X port is well tolerated (there was only one lag of up to 15 FPS for the whole game) and I was playing on the phone to start the game, you must throw the Main folder from the folder with the game for PC / sdcard/rtcw4a / main I hope you bought the original game (it's worth it), and if so, do not forget to patch to the latest version. Or buy a game on Steam as I am.

Have included the Apk below (Latest beta from date of this article) as i had issues downloading from the Russian forum myself. Place the Original PC Return to Castle Wolfenstein Files in a folder named (rtcw4a) and place on Root of SD card. For more info/help visit original forum and translate.
If any issue with the attached apk's visit the original tread or my XDA thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1941472

RTCW4A Screen Resolution
I have a question for everyone here regarding RTCW4A: How do you lower the resolution of the game? I already tried to do it from the game's main menu, and also the launcher that is included with the apk. Those seem to only lower the resolution of the main menu, the GUI, and in-game status readouts, but not the game engine itself. The graphics look the same no matter what resolution I set it to, and the FPS is also always the same in the same location on a level that I used to test to see if the resolution changed. I even tried to edit the "wolfconfig.cfg" file, setting r_mode to "0" (lowest resolution) as well as "-1" (custom resolution). Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have a Droid 2, and the game could use just a bit of extra speed, and then it would be just right. Thanks!
RC2 ? thx

Great thread however I have one tiny glitch with the touch controls, whenever it starts loading they get replaced with what I think are ingame textures, so it's kind of difficult to play that way, any fixes or does anybody have the same problem? Thanks!
Nice!
Great remake!
Awesome! Brings some good old memories!
As far as i know this is the first attempt at a windows 95/98 based game emulator for the android system, apparently the first beta will be released on the market "soon", first game being caeser 3, and other games based on the demand of thoses games, so if any of you guys have a favorite let him know as he will be working on games based on the demand for them.

freelancer would a helluva game to port! i have never found a good enough replacement for that game.
Starcraft is working fine with this. It's amazing it is running at full speed
The only problem I encountered so far, is that protoss zealots are invisible due to some graphical bug. Their shadow can be seen however.
Overall, this has really high potential and I've seen on the forums that Age of empires is already in the making for it.
Good job!
I find it outstanding how the Devs managed to write an emulator? that runs so smoothly, im gobsmacked that it involves x86 games, windows no less, looking at the videos it runs better then some retro emulators like dosbox and the like, even though dos is an older system, and these windows games being more graphic intensive, in my opinion this guys project has major potential
I often wonder if he's found the mecha of android emulation in its effiency or if it just applies in this particular case, being windows emulation only?

PS: the caputuras are an old version of the game (2.4.5) the new version (2.8.0) is much better cast and better animations.
1) The game has a story mode (With all the sagas, minus the GT)
2) has a VS mode (which can be played up to 6 characters at once, (1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, 1 vs 2, 2 vs 3 ... etc)
3) It also includes a way to play online, also up to 6 players.
4) the game is very easy to edit, and you can add characters, editing skills, transformations and many more things (editing files and folders within the game in windows)
Here I leave a page where you create characters:
http://dbxpersonagens.blogspot.com.br/
in short, it's fun.
but I said, no point playing it on my pc, with games like (Battlefield 3, NFS Most Wanted, or even taking the Drago Ball Z PS2 emulator) then I thought, what if someone portara to android (as the game weighs no more than 60 mb)
so I was wondering if any of you know any developer that can make a port. for android of this simple and fun game .. @Pizza_Dox @smokerman @fma965 @poo-tang
@^I'm_With_Stupid @DiKeJ
and so we can play it on our Xperia Play
(below I leave a link to download it those who want to try, which is edited by me, I've added some characters., and am currently finishing editing, to leave well rounded., and adding some unknown characters. )
Link To Game Dragon Ball Budokai X (For Windows): http://www.mediafire.com/?8l0fowl8b24qlds
PS:is a mugen game, therefore it is absolutely free, so it is not Warez
Hope you interested in the idea ..
Greetings friends ..
So, you mean this is PC game and you want to make Android version, yes, am I correct? Just making sure, no sarcasm here if you felt something like that . Cheers Bro ^^.
@DiKeJ
clear .. this is a PC game, and would be nice if someone could port it to android .. but not entirely understanding your comment .. : (
can then somehow or not?
since I see there are so many other port android games (example: return castle Wolftein - Doom 3 - Quake 3) is that maybe it's a really stupid request on my part. but ask not lose anything. So, you mean this is PC game and you want to make Android version, yes, am I correct? Just making sure, no sarcasm here if you felt something like that . Cheers Bro ^^.
I mean I didn't want you to feel stupid or smth, I just wanted to make me sure and clear - now I know all .
About topic - I think it's possible, as you said, other PC ports are gets its port with 3d graphics etc. etc., but the main difference could be engine or part of programming. I think we need to contact developer of those PC ports, so he will tell us if he can do it, or is it even possible . I know a page when some guy relase always fresh new version of those games, so I'm sure he is Dev or just have good contact with him .
@DiKeJ
thanks man ..
I could spend that page spoken of?? or any private contact? : (
Therefore this, like other Mugen (Naruto - Samurai X - One Piece) and many other series are very good games .. .. that would be worth porting to android .. for more then be paid at the google play, are games that would be worth buying (which are also games that do not take up much memory and very low PC demand requirements)
We will contact privately, just in case to not angry Mods or so .
Write to me via Google Hangouts on .
To port anything, you first need the source code. Mugen is a closed source project, so the only person who can do that is the Mugen author.
There is a project called OpenMugen that is aiming to become a replacement for Mugen while being open source, though. I dont follow the mugen scene, but it seems like it still has a long way to go.
There is also something called "Paintown", which has an android version and seems to have a mugen mode: http://paintown.sourceforge.net/
I did not check it out, just saw it by googling.
Firstly: This mention stuff is great but also annoying, Please don't mention me for things relating to "wanting to be developed" as i am not a developer nor do i appreciate being emailed constantly about things that don't even regard me (but i keep email on for "important" issues)
Secondly: Wouldn't this be better off in Android General section instead of the Xperia Play specific section.

Hey there guys! We just released LineBox and we're looking for suggestions to improvements of our game, LineBox.
LineBox is a challenging game with minimalistic graphics, you move a block up and down by swiping (or clicking) to dodge obstacles in your way.
We would really appreciate suggestions to what we can do to improve our game!
Some planned fixes/features for tomorrow that we didn't implement at launch are:
Pause functionality
Sound-effects to buttons
Hardmode after X amount of points.
Google Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Lars.LarsGame
Screenshots:
The only difference between the paid version and the free version is one advertisement, and you can see the paid version more of as a donation of 1$ to us if you're interested in supporting us on our future projects.
Thank you for trying out our game We promise to read every single post you'll make <3...
* Added sound when clicking buttons.
* Added hardmode to the game when the Player reaches a score of 100.
* Fixed some performance issues
---TO DO---
* Add mute button, pause/unpause button.
* Add custom animations for hardmode transition
* Add powerups for longevity of gameplay.
Updates happen often!
Also, unfortunately, since I do not have 10 posts on XDA I am not able to paste a direct link to my Google Play application.
I will put it out the moment I have 10 posts, in the meantime, if you would like to find my game on the Google play store, simply search for LineBox
Changelog:
- Added new music
- Added Pause/Unpause functionality
- Added framework for adding powerups later.
- Bugfixes,
New things! (29.11.14):
* Added new Power-Up to the game
* Added difficulty progression
* A lot of optimization and bugfixes
* Sounds and animation for death of player
Nice game, like the minimalistic look. would recommend 10/10.
Thanks, I really like this game. My only complaint is that powerups rarely appear over blocks and are impossible to get.
Nice game, I really liked the simplicity of the design.
Hey guys! Thanks for all the nice compliments on the game! I'm working hard to improve it, just taking a little break from coding for a couple of days. When it comes to the powerups, I am aware of the issue of powerups appearing inside the blocks! I might boost the spawn-rate for powerups later, but this is a value that'll need some tweaking! Except for that, I have a lot of new and interesting powerups planned!
Thank you for trying out my game, and look forward to more updates
nice little game
Bump!
Great game thanks :good:
Nice work it's made simplistic, but the good thing, people are addicted to that xD.(ofcourse not simplistic under the hood). Continue with your work, I would love to see your future projects too :good:
good work!
but when try to pause, when tapping screen to pause, game is thinking tapping normally for game and change direction, let you die
and some performance issues on i9500, its too laggy.
game screen is too small, uncessarilly there is lots of empty space on screen
What did you build this off of?

Yes, I am aware of the pause issue, and it is one of the issues I am going to fix as soon as I find the time. When it comes to performance issues, I don't know if there is much I can do, but I am constantly trying to optimize the game. While I wont deny that my code is not exactly super-optimized, I am still learning and I am very sorry that this causes your i9500 to lag.
Also, I have never seen an example of the game screen being too small, I would love it if you could attach a screenshot to show me the gamescreen. It is supposed to accommodate to different resolutions.

Here's a quick one, could you compile for armeabi as well as armv7a-eabi? As-is, this won't install from Play on older (armv5,armv6) handsets.

Unfortunately, my game was made in Unity 4 and wont work on ARMv6. I really have no clue if my app would work for armv7a-eabi, but if you tried it and it didn't work, chances are it doesn't. Unity has it's limitations I am afraid, but ofcourse I'll look into it
In general, the only real requirement I know of is that your API Level has to be higher than 9, or, 2.3 Gingerbread.

I've read of armv6 unity libraries that can be swapped into older apps. I might try that. //edit: apparently has to be unity under version 4... no dice. A shame Unity, like much recent Google-ware, assumes everyone uses newer hardware.
armeabi-v7 or v7a are the de-facto standard for android devices since android 4.0, but as of Gingerbread, google still supported armeabi in the android source code.
I had only tried it on my armv6, I assumed it was built for armv7 since Play refused to install it on my older hardware.
it runs fine on my armv7 evo v.

Yeah unfortunately. If I compiled my game in Unity 3.5 it would probably work for lower end, but again that's a hassle considering the features I'm using.
