Variant - MSM UFS
Bootloader version -
Baseband version -
Serial Number - FA75Y0501736
SECURE BOOT - PRODUCTION
SECURE STATE - S-ON
DEVICE STATE - UNLOCKED (U)

No matter what option i choose (download, bootloader, recovery)
It brings me back to the same screen.

got it figured out., feel free to close/delete

Care to share what the problem was? Im currently having this same issue on my u11.

he needed to be in Download Mode not Bootloader mode

I figured out my issue. I was using the TWRP image for my old HTC 10....... haha. I downloaded the right image and it worked fine.

Nexus S 2.3.4 Failed Root Stuck on Google Logo [FIXED]

I was running stock 2.3.4 and successfully unlocked my bootloader using steps 1-5 of this thread and then tried rooting it using the simple Modaco method mentioned at the top of the same thread. It was late and I wasnt paying attention that it was for 2.3.2..
I got everything in terminal to say that it flashed correctly but when I unplug my phone I am stuck at the Google splash screen. After a battery pull I can boot into fastboot and choose recovery but then I am greeted with the android out of the box followed by a triangle ..I am assuming I have lost/ corrupted my recovery. Can anyone guide me out of this mess? Mac instructions would be greatly appreciated.
FIXED: Flashed the appropriate ROM from this thread
Edit1: Since I can access CWM from Fastboot can I just mount USB, transfer a ROM or nandroid and flash it?
Edit: Fastboot Menu Info:
HW Ver: Rev 11
Bootloader Ver: i9020xxka3

Did u try pushing up and the power to access the recovery menu

[Completed] HTC Desire 820s stuck on bootlogo. not continue to run

Hello
I have a HTC 820s Dual sim mobile. The problem started when i try to root my device via Kingroot.
Unfortunately, my device not rooted but worst, it stuck on boot logo. I tried to search the
internet for possible solution, i stumble upon one thread here in XDA that HTC Devices need to
unlock first via HTC-Dev. I tried it but my device in not booting anymore and i cannot open the
developer option to allow USB Debugging which is required in HTCDev unlocking the Bootloader.
I can enter in download mode but when i press it, it only return to boot logo (HTC) and get stuck
up there.
I found out that Mediatek dont need for fastboot because it is already pre installed (i dont know
about that) but my device has Mediatek so fastbooting is not a problem for my device.
When I first press the volume UP + Power Button, here are the detailed on screen:

I tried flashing thru SD card. I downloaded the package in one of the thread here in XDA. the
flashing of package aborted because my device is not compatible with Asian stock ROM, it was
looking for Europe ROM.
I tried the SP flash tool
I tried the scatter file
still, i cannot repair my device.
sorry for the long post, i really need your help.
Thank you

TWRP Recovery with Mate 8 Nougat AL-10

Update:
This was the answer: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/development/unofficial-twrp-3-0-3-0-mate-8-t3524025. I'm now in TWRP.
- - -
I got an AL10 as a gift the other day. I let the phone update to Nougat before I tried to root it.
I used DC unlocker to unlock the bootloader, as well as unlock FRP. However, there is no option to unlock FRP from Developer options in the Android settings.
On Linux I use adb to reboot into the bootloader. Then, I use fastboot to flash the latest TWRP image (3.0.2.0).
That's where the problems start. Once TWRP is flashed, I try to reboot the device and into TWRP.
Nothing happens if I press volume up + power. I've also tried volume down + power, and doing this without the USB cable attached. I've tried letting go of volume up and power when the screen flashes on, and holding it down.
It seems one of the three things happens:
1. I get stuck at a phone is unlocked and can't be trusted, device is booting now, and then Android boots as normal.
2. I get stuck at device is booting now, and the device doesn't boot.
3. I end up in Huawei eRecovery.
I've also tried using fastboot to boot directly into the TWRP image, but I get a failed error.
Any insights or advice? I'd like to run Linux Deploy on this phone, which requires root.
Many thanks in advance.

Could use some help (new HTC U12+ user with rooted phone.)

Hi all,
My uncle gave me his old HTC U12+, and now I would like to update it to the last security updates.
Unfortunately I have no clue where to start.
The phone can be completely wiped and I would like to go back to the original HTC U12+ ROM.
The phone is currently running Android 8.0.0 (version 1.53.401.5) and the last update was 1 December 2018 :-/
The phone IS rooted.
When I start bootloader (with abd reboot bootloader) I get into the bootloader.
It's showing the following.
Press volume key to select, and press power
key to select
FastBoot Mode
PRODUCT_NAME - HTC_Phone
VARIOANT - SDM UFS
BOOTLOADER VERSION -
BASEBAND VERSION -
SERIAL NUMBER - FA93J1xxxxxx
SECURE BOOT - PRODUCTION
SECURE STATE - S-ON
DEVICE STATE. - UNLOCKED(U)
KEY STATE - NONE

I can select the following options with the volume key
Reboot, Power Down, Reboot To Recovery, Reboot to Download, Reboot To Bootloader
When I boot to reboot to recovery I get the following:
Team Win Recovery Project 3.3.1-0
Install / Wipe / Backup / Restore / Mount / Settings / Advanced / Reboot
Click to collapse
When I reboot to Download I get this:
- Download mode

Anyone here who can guide me on how to get the HTC back to stock (or updated) again?
Again. The phone can be completely wiped. No needed data is on it at this moment.
Thank you!
Kian
Got it myself
Downloaded a RUU from docs.google.com/spreadsheets...K8w/edit#gid=0 (in my case 1.30.401.2 for CID HTC__001), and renamed it to 2Q55IMG.zip
After this I moved it into the root directory of the HTC's SSD card, and booted into Download mode.
It found the 2Q55IMG.zip file and asked to flash (volume up). I did, and after some time the HTC booted up nicely.
I needed to do some more updates over air, but now it's fully updated.
Unfortunately it lost ROOT, but I'm sure this is (easy?) fixable.

Hi @kkrraazzyy will relocking the bootloader also remove the TWRP and the Magisk root? Thanks.

Relocking will brick phone, if using different unofficial images , only stock works, so, will need to Odin latest or same Samsung stock rom
I can confirm that re-locking the bootloader with custom firmware will brick the phone.
I bought a Samsung S10 (SM-977B) rooted phone (in China), It had Magisk manager installed, the bootloader was unlocked. I thought I should install stock ROM (so I can install google play/services). It turns out that the phone was bricked.
I have been trying to install stock rom (3 different CSC codes) with different Odin versions. Each time either it says that RQT_Close, or Repartition failed, or stuck on recovery.img (all on Odin), where as on phone, it says Blocked by OEM lock (in case of TWRP flash).
I have no idea if Knox is tripped or not. I just wanted Google services/play on my phone and it has been a very frustrating.
Any advice?
I have a weird issue with my device, recovery and its environs; that the thought that comes in mind is to relock bootloader - flash stock updated firmware via odin - then get back to the custom environment again. But am concern will it work - will i get stacked and whole lot because of the issue am facing.
The issue is - After a while after flashing custom firmware with magisk patched - I can't successfully boot into OS without the magisk combo. If i do it gets into recovery.
Until i boot with magisk key combo, i can't get into OS.
That's why i want to relock and do everything again.
Please i need some feeback. thank you
If you just want to start from scratch just flash Stock. Don't change the unlock state. I am not an expert but I think the lock and unlock again will not make things better.
