[Completed] HTC Desire 820s stuck on bootlogo. not continue to run - XDA Assist

Hello
I have a HTC 820s Dual sim mobile. The problem started when i try to root my device via Kingroot.
Unfortunately, my device not rooted but worst, it stuck on boot logo. I tried to search the
internet for possible solution, i stumble upon one thread here in XDA that HTC Devices need to
unlock first via HTC-Dev. I tried it but my device in not booting anymore and i cannot open the
developer option to allow USB Debugging which is required in HTCDev unlocking the Bootloader.
I can enter in download mode but when i press it, it only return to boot logo (HTC) and get stuck
up there.
I found out that Mediatek dont need for fastboot because it is already pre installed (i dont know
about that) but my device has Mediatek so fastbooting is not a problem for my device.
When I first press the volume UP + Power Button, here are the detailed on screen:

Phone will not boot to OS + no recovery mode.

History:
So I deleted at least one to0 many applications and now the phone will not boot to the OS. It freezes then restarts during the boot process.
I cannot get into the recovery mode with home+power. It just sits with the green myTouch logo until I give up holding it and it then tries to boot.
I can press back+home and get to the FASTBOOT screen.
Help:
Where exactly do I go from here? I cannot find my gold card and have no way of making one right now.
Thanks!
Anyone have any thoughts or know what files I need to work with fastboot?
Hello
Install first HTC Sync for Drivers (here). (if nothing works, go to pc -> device manager -> right click unknown device and uninstall. than install again.
After this try start your device with hold back+power button.
Go to cmd and write
1. cd C:\androidsdk\tools
2. fastboot devices
if you see your fastboot device than you can remote boot a recovery file. Get recovery here.
3. fastboot boot recovery.img
than restore your nandroid backup or install your rom.
i had exact same problem 1 hour ago and i solved it with this
hope it helps.

[Q] DESIRE S stuck after unlocking and SuperOneClick- HELP!!!

Hi I decided finally to create a new thread, because I cannot find solution to my case and I have dead Desire S.
So I have :
*** UNLOCKED ***
SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.02.0002
I wanted to install SABA ROM, but at the end my phone is dead!!!
I unblocked bootloger according to HTCdev guidelines, I installed 4EXT recovery, made gold card.
Finally by mistake I used SuperOneClick, which blocked my phone.
Now I can only enter to bootloger menu, but when I start my Desire S normally, it gets stuck on black screen after white htc logo while booting.
The problem is that I do not have backup boot.img file from my phone, so I cannot follow @asgardr advice and flash boot file.
Please advise what I should do? I am totally lost now.
PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks in advance!!!
PS. Please forgive not proffesional language as I am newbe!
You have 4EXT recovery installed which you can access in the bootloader menu.
Have you tried flashing a rom?
Unlock and Flash custom rom. Dont make things complicated, u fail to read and therefore ended up like as u were. Put ur phone aside and start to read the link i provided, it's all u need. Read real slowly and take ur time in doing so, read once, twice and finally when u are confident enough then start over again.
Boot.img files are contained in the .zip files.
Each rom has it's own boot.img.
Unlocking your device means u have to flash boot.img in fastboot after flashing rom in recovery.
Phone is up again!
Hi Guys,
Thread is closed - phone is working again!
1. I downloaded from HTCdev: RUU_SAGA_ICS_35_S_HTC_EU_14.01.401.2_20.76.30.0835_3831.19.00.110_275068
2. I relocked bootloger and started the phone in bootloger mode (phone was detected by RUU!!!)
3. I installed again above original RUU.
4. Phone is up and is working again!
Now I still want to install Saba ROM, but can someone give me a link to any tutorial how to do it correctly.
Please remember that I have unlocked bootlonger but S-on.
I tried:
1. I am going to unclock bootlonger again according to HTCdev.
2. Start recovery mode in bootloger
3. Choose option: "install from sdcard.
Unfortunately each time I receive information that installation was aborted just after begining.
Any hints?
Thanks in advance
Phone is up!
Thanks for help!

There was no need to do that. The bootloader was already unlocked and you had 4EXT recovery installed.
You should take rain987's advice above. READ before you do anything.

[Q] Bricked HTC, Can't Access Recovery

** PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD **
Hey, noob with many regrets here.
My device is a HTC One Mini (M7), yesterday I tried to change the ROM. I installed the Sense 6 Framework and now my phone is bricked. I have TWRP working but when I attempt to push the old working ROM it loads for a while, then gives me 'protocol error' in cmd. I viewed the files through the TWRP file manager and saw that the /sdcard is completely empty. When I boot the phone up and try to use it normally it gets stuck on the HTC screen, at the bottom 'powered by ANDROID' with the development purposes notes in red writing over it.
edit: Managed to re-unlock the bootloader and install TWRP, can now access recovery.
edit 2: Had LOTS of problems with ADB, after lots and lots of re-tries I was able to finally push a ROM.zip over to the phone and install.
Some figures you may find helpful:

Hey AjanD i hope i can help u with your problem.
The first thing after unlocking your bootloader (which makes your phone S-On) is to flash a recovery.
I would suggest TWRP recovery . The think u do is go to fastboot with volume down key+power button
After u download the TWRP recovery for your Htc One you enter the following command to flash recovery
" fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (where recovery.img the name of the twrp recovery.img) .Then you should be able
to access recovery menu. Hope I helped you

[Completed] HTC One mini boot loop (bootloader locked)

Dear all,
I am completely new to installing custom ROMs on mobile phones etc. and I just gave it a try and installed CyanogenMod on my HTC One mini.
So, I followed the instructions in the wiki of wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_m4 (since I am new to the forum, I can not post the link properly...).
and successfully installed CyanogenMod. I completed all the steps described there up to the very last one, i. e. "12. Once installation has finished, return to ...".
Then, I went to opengapps.org and downloaded a file (called open_gapps-arm-4.4-pico-20160108.zip) and installed it as well on my HTC. This gave me an error message, but after a re-boot of the phone the Google-Play app which was included in open_gapps-arm-4.4-pico-20160108.zip worked: I used it to install two apps. Then, I decided to relock my bootloader since I had read in several forums etc. that leaving the bootloader unlocked is a security risk. I think, I used
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
in the console (running on Debian) in order to achieve this. Unfortunately, after the re-boot of the phone it is stuck in a boot loop. What I can see is the well-known:
Code:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** RELOCKED ***
*** Security warning ***

If I select the BOOTLOADER option, then I see:
Code:
FASTBOOT

FACTORY RESET
CLEAR STORAGE

Whatever I choose, it just takes me back to the initial screen. So, I have no way of navigating to any other menus than the two I just described. I checked many forums posts here in xda-dev as well as everywhere else, I could find related stuff, but so far nothing. Yesterday I tried a couple of things via the console (adb and fastboot commands), but I do not remember exactly what since I just copy/pasted the commands into my console....
Any idea on how to approach this?!? Thanks in advance!!!
Bootlocker is unlocked now, but phone is still soft-bricked
OK, so I managed to unlock the bootloader now.
Now I am able to select "RECOVERY" and access Team Win Recovery Project (v2.8.7.0) which I had installed previously.
However, if I try to start up the phone and boot CyanogenMod, It gets stuck at the splash screen where the "arrow" is going in circles around the CyanogenMod symbol.
I tried to
Code:
adb push nameOfMyCyanogenModSnapshot.zip /sdcard/
in order to overwrite the CyanogenMod installation, but for some reason adb does not seem to work anymore...
Any idea, what to do next?!?
It's working again !
Allright,
one of the partitions on my phone was f***ed (as a result of trying to fix the boot loop...).
I had to re-format it as ext4. Then copied the zip for installing the ROM to the phone's SD card and installed it again. Now it's working!

Could use some help (new HTC U12+ user with rooted phone.)

Hi all,
My uncle gave me his old HTC U12+, and now I would like to update it to the last security updates.
Unfortunately I have no clue where to start.
The phone can be completely wiped and I would like to go back to the original HTC U12+ ROM.
The phone is currently running Android 8.0.0 (version 1.53.401.5) and the last update was 1 December 2018 :-/
The phone IS rooted.
When I start bootloader (with abd reboot bootloader) I get into the bootloader.
It's showing the following.
Press volume key to select, and press power
key to select
FastBoot Mode
PRODUCT_NAME - HTC_Phone
VARIOANT - SDM UFS
BOOTLOADER VERSION -
BASEBAND VERSION -
SERIAL NUMBER - FA93J1xxxxxx
SECURE BOOT - PRODUCTION
SECURE STATE - S-ON
DEVICE STATE. - UNLOCKED(U)
KEY STATE - NONE

I can select the following options with the volume key
Reboot, Power Down, Reboot To Recovery, Reboot to Download, Reboot To Bootloader
When I boot to reboot to recovery I get the following:
Team Win Recovery Project 3.3.1-0
Install / Wipe / Backup / Restore / Mount / Settings / Advanced / Reboot

When I reboot to Download I get this:

Anyone here who can guide me on how to get the HTC back to stock (or updated) again?
Again. The phone can be completely wiped. No needed data is on it at this moment.
Thank you!
Kian
Got it myself
Downloaded a RUU from docs.google.com/spreadsheets...K8w/edit#gid=0 (in my case 1.30.401.2 for CID HTC__001), and renamed it to 2Q55IMG.zip
After this I moved it into the root directory of the HTC's SSD card, and booted into Download mode.
It found the 2Q55IMG.zip file and asked to flash (volume up). I did, and after some time the HTC booted up nicely.
I needed to do some more updates over air, but now it's fully updated.
Unfortunately it lost ROOT, but I'm sure this is (easy?) fixable.
