Read the description mate, its a free version without ads. There are three such players in the Play store currently and only this one is free other two are paid.
If you find a better player do post it over here guys.

I get no audio with .mkv files and I can't select a preferred audio stream. Pretty useless until this is fixed.
App looks promising though.

Haven't tried playing .mkv files yet, hope he fixes it soon cause its a useful app.

That would be another useful app which could become trash if the bugs are not fixed.
But there will be many more additions to this category in the coming month, let's hope they won't have such bugs.

Has anyone used the Floating Player Beta, how's it compared to Super Video ?

best floating player
I purchased Floating player beta... however it doesnt play all my videos.... I don't know if its the codecs or just the app.. force closes a lot.. I downloaded super video but the thumbnails for all videos don't load and videos only play for 2 seconds before it stops. Can someone help....

In my opinion Stick It floating player is the best one in the market. It gives u the option 2 resize, play YouTube videos and seek the time of the video

Hi guys
I have one problem when using Super Video: when playing video (under popup mode), after 5 seconds playing it stops with an error message "Video Player Error [100:0]" as per attached screenshot.
I tried to clear app data, uninstall and reinstall freshly latest version from Play Store, even restart phone after that... but still same error happens. I'm currently using One X firmware 1.28 (no root).
Any help would be much appreciated?

This is Great App with features as SS Galaxy S3

I found a problem but not necessarily a bug, you can't play an Audio file with the screen locked.
If you lock the screen the audio stops playing but as its mainly for playing videos its not much of an issue.

So someone explain to me the deal with this app... what's the source of this music? This seems too good to be true.

I'm also afraid that this is just basic mp3 being transcoded, converted into another bitrate.

You can send feedback directly in the left menu of the App.

I suggest that on the search result, not only show the name of the video / music, but also the length of time, how long for the video / music.
And also, it would be great if the search result can show the playlist of other people, like on the official YouTube app.

This app is absolutely genius!! Thank you so much for creating this!
Suggestions:
- Settings to choose default quality to download
- Removal of default youtube account, or implementation of option to use our own account (app is really early version, I understand)
- Option to exit the app from the notification on lockscreen (for now pause and swipe it away)
Bugs:
- Alot of urls cannot be fetched for some reason (lukas graham feat Brandon Beal golden for example), but I encountered 6-10 songs in 25 tries (once a song reports error, retrying never helps though the message suggests it)
Last note - what about the legal aspect of this app, especially in regards to the download feature? Have you considered a reaction from Google?

The application's purpose is just bringing the comfortable to user by provide some "limited features" of youtube app such as listening sound from video to save bandwidth and saving offline contents. It has a bit of trouble about video's copyright but I think it can be ignore because there are many website and browser/plugin does the same.
The app is Non-profit 100%. I neither intend to publish it on Play store nor compete with youtube app.

About servers and availability - is the conversion of songs and fetching from YouTube happen on your server infrastructure? If yes, you might want to change that to happen on the user's phone, at least any part of the process requirering bandwidth, as that is the pricy part. Also to avoid local restrictions on content.. The conversion of songs, I don't know if that is possible locally on Android, it requires you to add much more code to the app.
About copyright, I think you are right, but moving workload to the individual device also helps here :good:

All streaming data come from googlevideo host, it means my app does the same with youtube app except while you download video as mp3 type.

Question, is it planned to implement the suggest feature youtube have? Eg, when I play a song, similar or related songs are shown.. It's tricky I know, I was just wondering?

Just noticed the following errors when downloading songs.. I guess the timestamps and titles will allow you to investigate if necessary.

Current version also fetches related songs, after current playback (online) ended, the next one related with it will auto play.
I planning to design screen "Player" which help you to control playback (seek, next, pause,...) and see the related songs.

You're a genius. Best online music app ever, I really liked it. Could you add predictive search just like in youtube or it isn't possible?

Love the app idea.
Here are suggestions:
1). Playlists - It would be nice to search/play music playlists.
2). Seek Bar - There are some long music mixes or playlists converted into one large file, the ability to fast forward the long track is not possible.
These two features makes YouTube a great app for music.

With Amazon Fire TV arm64 libs start to download but then the app crashed and won't start up again. Deleted cache and data and the app will start again and trying to download the libs again but it is again crashing.

It's anyway to implement the option to share directly to the YouTube mp3 app, I see the app pop our in the share option. But a don't really work. What I mean is share hit YouTube mp3 and the link already be there when open up. Using galaxy s8+ all good here.

Don't worry about the 320 kbps mp3 download feature I requested because given what @khangneovip knows(I trust him) "YouTube doesn't serve 320kbps audio bitrate (maximum audio bitrate is ~190kbps). So it doesn't make sense when convert it to 320kbps, just make the file bigger but the audio quality still the same."

Troubleshooting:
How can I get video/playlist/channel ID so I can use them in PodTube?
You need to open the official YouTube app, navigate to the video or channel you want, then click on the sharing arrow, or the three dots, select COPY LINK and paste it into the ID field in PodTube. If you don't see a COPY LINK option for the playlists, select one of the offered text apps, which will paste the link into them, and then copy it from there. (I will look into direct integration into the share menu in the future versions of PodTube so you won't have to copy it like this).
I am unable to download onto a removable SD card
Newer versions of Android (KitKat and later I think) won't let apps write onto the removable SD with standard permissions, however Android will allow the app to write into a directory it owns on the removable SD, which for PodTube is located in sdcardroot/Android/media/com.shadoapps.podtube. If you press Autodetect safe media directory button it will be selected for you (unless you are out of free space). You should have no problem however, with selecting and writing into any directory in the built in storage.
I have a problem with playing the downloaded files
YouTube serves videos in several formats. Downloaded video files will usually come in an mp4 format and audio files in a wav format (unless you select the lowest quality). In order to play them, your player app has to support these formats. If you can't open the downloaded files in the player you use, try one, which supports the format you are trying to play. Personally, I use the VLC player (free in the app store) which can play anything that YouTube serves.
I cannot select the specific quality for downloaded videos, or specify detailed download options
PodTube is not intended to be a full fledged YouTube downloader, it is a podcast maker, which simply grabs the highest quality streams available (or lowest if you want to save data and select that option)
How can I trigger the podcast downloads automatically at given intervals?
I recommend you use Tasker for this. Click on the Tasker icon inside PodTube for more info.
The download link contains several APKs, which one do I use?
The one that matches your phone's architecture. If you don't know what that is, then install the com.shadoapps.podtube.apk, which is universal.
If I install a new version of PodTube over the old one, will I lose all my settings?
No.
If I remove some of the downloaded videos, will PodTube download them again, during the next sync?
No. PodTube saves the list of IDs for videos it downloaded, and won't download them again. If you wish to download the removed videos again, then go to channel edit, and purge all channel data.

Ok i have used the app a lot but i dont like one thing that it is in a weird wav format and to listen to them i have to use a wav to mp3 app and it takes 10 mins per 8min wav file do you think you could make the app use a mp3 or a useable format instead of tbe wav formt on the app let me know if you can

The app doesn't get to pick in which format it gets in the stream. Most youtube videos provide only a wav stream for high quality audio. It actually checks if there is a mp3 stream available, but if there isn't, and there usually isn't, it picks the best one, which is usually the wav.
Try using a player which has no problem with playing wav files such as the free VLC for android.
