I am facing difficulty on my PK1 deodexed rom while trying to unlock the screen. After swiping my finger, ut won't unlock and won't give any reason, just stuck. When i try using the backup password, keyboard won't come up for me to type my password until i lock/unlock with power button and change my keyboard back and forth multiple times before working.
I have checked for possible solution online, cleared cache and wiped data on both app manager and Titanium backup app.
Please any information will be gladly appreciated.
Thanks
Solved!!!
I was able to solve it after troubleshootibg by myself.
Found out its peel remote notification causing it. On the lock screen, the remote icon is always visible and accessible. I turned off its notification and viola, fingerprint and password now working as they should.

I have a problem with my phone that I can't seem to find a solution for. Every single rom that I have flashed to my phone always ends up with a disappearing lockscreen. No matter what I choose, whether it is pattern unlock, pin unlock, etc eventually after maybe 2 or 3 unlocks and relocks the screen to enter the pattern or pin disappears and all I have left is an emergency call option at the bottom of the screen. And the only way to get it working (for a while) is to pull the battery. I properly wipe the phone before flashing but I haven't been able to stop it from happening.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

sounds like your running sky ics there is a known issue with that check the forum with BRUNO's repsonses you will find the answer there
can't find this info anywhere but please redirect me to appropriate page if i've missed it.
using android 5.1 DU test-v9.2 on nexus 5 32Gb
this has been stable for a few weeks until i changed themes today. i backedup via cwm up after installing theme, on reboot i can't get past screen for sim pin.
i press the onscreen keys, the keys show they have been pressed, but there is no sound or vibration and the numbers don't appear above the keypad.
as i can't get past this i can't use the phone.
changing to the last good backup does not fix this.
I've had to do a factory format and reinstall to get back to a working phone. Though it occurred to me in the middle of the process i could remove the sim and change the settings back.
anyone know what's going on? I suspect it may have something to do with fonts but have nothing to base that on.
thanks
My first issue with the phone. I was playing around with the lockscreen as I was bored. Normally I don't keep my phone locked. After setting a lock pattern and setting all the smart lock features I decided to disable the lock. Originally I had it set to swipe. When I went in to the Screen Lock setting screen to put the phone back on Swipe I could not. It was disabled. In fact the only options I could choose were Pattern, Pin and Password. I disabled all the smart lock features but that didn't help. I restarted the phone and that didn't help either.
So now I can't disable the lock screen. Anyone know what up?
I read that clearing credentials fixes the issue so I tried it. Nope, didn't fix the issue.
OK, for ****s and giggles I cleared the credentials again and now I have all the unlock options. I don't understand why that was happening but who cares.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Just like you, I normally do not use a lock screen. But I was visiting family and left my phone out to charge, so I added the pattern password and then it would not allow me to turn it off - all I had was Pattern, Pin and Password. After clearing the credentials, I gained access to be able to disable the pattern lock. Thanks again!!!
I did a factory reset on my S7 today to fix some strange notification reminder errors, and found out that my home button no longer likes to let me register my fingerprints. The button was working fine to unlock the device today before the factory reset, and I've already attempted the clear cache partition method to get it working again. Any time I attempt to register my fingerprints, it simply says "Make sure that the Home key is clean and dry, then try again." I assume this is due to the fact that the home button got scratched a couple of months ago, but again, it was working just fine with the scratch up until I lost my fingerprint profile.
So, is there any way (including if I have to root it) to "sideload" a fingerprint profile or suppress the "Make sure that the Home key is clean and dry" message when setting up fingerprints?
Thanks
Fingerprints are stored securely by the TEE, so there is no way to sideload, not on official firmware at least. The message you see about wiping the button is also hardware initiated. It should display in any situation where a scan is done, not just when registering. So something happened to the physical scanner at some point. I'd recommend just sending it in if you dont manage to fix it yourself.
Hi, I'm having troubles with my Galaxy S7. I had recently changed my pattern lock to a pin lock and when I had to take my EOC's today I was required to turn my phone off. When I had turned my phone back on I was met with the pattern lock screen. I had attempted to put in my old pattern but it keeps telling me that it is invalid. After a few tries, it had told me that I only have 9 attempts left before it deletes all of my information. Has anyone else dealt with this? Do I have to take it to the T-Mobile store? Or is there something I can do at home?
Try booting to recovery and clear CACHE
If that fails, try flashing the same stock ROM over the top using HOME_CSC to avoid resetting
Assuming that Samsung has this enabled by default, If you go to this link https://findmymobile.samsung.com/
This will only work if its activated but logging into your Samsung account attached to the phone will allow you to access some options including but not limited to "Unlock" which will override your phones lock settings and unlock it for you.
Best of luck.
