FRP issue . After running CARHD for 3 days
MY phone was in my pocket i pulled it out and it was on the black screen with FRP notice.
Ive fixed it and the phone is working now but how can i make sure this doesnt happen again?
I thought this was only an issue with bad passwords and stolen phones not with mine while in use?

Good question, I thought that too.
Did you have a secure screen lock, and could your phone have been turned on/screen on/secure wipe (incorrectly) effected while pocketed... a few times to engage the system security?
Ok bit of a weird one, the phone is set to finger print unlock but when I go to bed and wake up in the middle of the night it's as if the phone restarted (it's not set to) and it's then asking me to enter my password which is long and Annoying to type when you half asleep.
Never happened with my S10 and so I'm wondering if I can find out if the phone is restarting or what's going on

Its been discussed already.
It's because your also using face unlock, it was introduced on the S20 I think.
Search for the thread for more detail..the information is there
also, this can and will happen during the day -- i noticed this on my note 10+ prior to the 20 ultra.
It's a safety feature since face unlock isn't really secure you must type in your password if you haven't touched your phone for a few hours.
If you only use fingerscanner then you usually don't have to type in your password again. I think it's good with extra protection.

Every 72 hours you'll need to enter your alternative lock method (password, pin, pattern).
This is for your own protection...to let you always remember your password/pin/pattern

My advice is skip face unlock as it's a 2D face scanning that can be fooled by a picture of your face

I have the opposite issue. The FP seems to not work as well in direct sunlight.
I have Oneplus 7 pro phone of my deceased father which I want to unlock. It has screen pattern lock. The phone is non rooted and USB debugging is disabled. I tried to open bootloader but it shows pattern lock there too. Is there any solution for this or do I have to wait for any solution ? I have been trying random combinations in the bootloader screen as it does not lock me out with the timing thing. I don't know if that will work. Any help would be appreciated as it would be helpful for our family to preserve the stored memories.

You may have to use msm tool. But that will also wipe the device clean
As the phone is encrypted using the pattern, without it there's not much you can do. Just hope you can guess the right one.

I am trying patterns in bootloader. Previously it was showing 30 sec pause after 10 unsuccessful attempts. Now it does not show the 30 sec warning so I keep on trying patterns. After maybe 40-80 attempts the screen gets bricked, so I have to restart and continue the process. It may be fruitful but my only fear is the 30 sec warning. Why it has stopped appearing as it was appearing earlier ? Maybe the 30 sec marker is running in the background and not appearing due to glitch which would make my right attempt unsuccessful.
We normally don't support cases like this. Pretty much as stated all you can do is wipe it totally. So many cases of stolen phones this day in age.

Fortunately/unfortunately there's no known backdoors in OnePlus phones, so not much we can do to help you. [emoji17]
I am hoping someone else with an X60 pro can tell me if their phone vibrates after a successful unlock with fingerprint. For me it only vibrates on incorrect fingerprint reading.
I just feel like a few days ago it was doing it but suddenly stopped after an update, maybe I am just imagining it...
Thanks!
The phone does not vibrate when I successfully unlock it with my fingerprint.
Hello, I have two identical Xiaomi Mi Max phones, and while one stays on the screen for a long time with the MI logo, the other is a few seconds ..., then they both work normally ..... what can I do? Is this difference due? Years ago, something similar happened to me in a Redmi Note 4 but I attribute it to the fact that it had a very scary Chinese screen, because then I changed it and it did not take long, but in these now, the one that takes has the original and fast one from Aliexpres ...., thank you.
