Question No vibration on successful fingerprint unlock? - Vivo X60 Pro

I am hoping someone else with an X60 pro can tell me if their phone vibrates after a successful unlock with fingerprint. For me it only vibrates on incorrect fingerprint reading.
I just feel like a few days ago it was doing it but suddenly stopped after an update, maybe I am just imagining it...
Thanks!

The phone does not vibrate when I successfully unlock it with my fingerprint.

[Q] Screen turns off after turning it up and unlocking using fingerprint sensor

Hi Guys,
My screen turns off every time I use the power button to turn it on and then place my finger to unlock it, I then need to turn it on again and unlock it. This happened almost every time I open it, usually I need to unlock it again after it turns off but sometimes when I turn on the screen the phone is already unlocked.
This is very annoying, is this a bug? What might cause it?
BTW, my home button is loose, have someone returned or replaced their phone because of this?
Bump.
Hope someone will give some insights as this is driving me nuts..
Doesn't happen to me.
Sounds like you may have a defective device.
Mine has not had any problems like you describe.
I need to head to the customer support center..

Fingerprint instant unlock without a HW button press first

I am wondering if anybody else has been annoyed by this:
On Samsung Galaxy S7 edge one had to first press a HW btton (home or power) and only then able to unlock using the fingerprint scanner.
On the S8 this is not so. Touching even for a moment the fingerprint scanner instantly unlocks the device!
I noticed that when the phone is in my pocket I would touch the fingerprint scanner inadvertently causing the phone to unlock.
If we look at the iris scanner:
One has to first press a HW button and then utilize this unlock option. But for fingerprint unlock, no...
I think this fingerprint scanner unlock procedure is solved immaturely by Samsung and would like to see if more agree.
Or am i missing an option somewhere? Comments/advises are welcome.
I prefer it that way, although I find it's in such a bad location that it isn't useable.
Hell no, the entire point is that it unlocks instantly. people dont want to be pressing other buttons first, taking extra time and effort dozens of times a day to unlock it. i cant see many people unlocking the thing by mistake by having their hand in their pocket!! It's hard enough to hit the sensor properly even when TRYING to! The fact it unlocks instantly is fantastic, i was impressed by how fast it is (when I manage to hit the scanner properly).

That's the thing. It's fast, really instant.. That's why a momentous touch in the pocket is quite possible to unlock the phone.
I understand why you like it. And agree is useful.
And may be if there was an option to choose instant unlock OR unlock following a screen on first (by a HW button) would have been nice.
Yeah they could add an option for that but i doubt enough people would want it for them to do it
I prefer it like this and the placement isn't bad at all either.

I was only able to unlock with fingerprint about 50% of the time.
I found out that after using a double tap gesture in Nova launcher to lock the screen, it required my pin to unlock. I disabled that gesture and now the fingerprint unlock works almost as well as it did on my Nexus 6P.

All phones with fingerprint sensors on the back will instantly unlock when you put your finger on the sensor. That is the whole point, to quickly and securely be able to log into your phone. For example the Nexus 5x/6p and Pixel phones all work this way. The Galaxy S6/S7 2-step method of pressing the home button and then waiting for the fingerprint to read was a somewhat wonky way of doing things that Samsung is moving on from.
I'm not sure what you mean by "I noticed that when the phone is in my pocket I would touch the fingerprint scanner inadvertently causing the phone to unlock." The phone will not unlock in your pocket with just any incidental touch on the fingerprint sensor. It has to be a registered fingerprint and your finger has to be placed squarely on the sensor. So unless every time you reach down into your pocket you are pressing your finger perfectly centered on the sensor, I find it hard to believe your phone is unlocking due to the fingerprint reader. There is an option called "Keep screen turned off" in Display settings. With this setting enabled, if the phone's proximity sensor recognizes it's in a bag or pocket, the screen will turn itself off after 5 seconds if the power or home button is accidentally pressed, so perhaps you should enable that.

I love this "feature" but yes you're right, it happened to me gazillion time to accidentally unlock the phone in my pocket. My "fix" to this issue is to have the back of the phone facing against my hand - problem solved, I can't touch the sensor that way.
Enjoy your new phone!
The fingerprint scanner works the way it's supposed to. Go buy another phone that has a real scanner & correctly placed (Like the nexus 6p) and test that, then come back.
OP is used to the crap samsung has pulled for many years, front bottom ugly enormous button acting as a scanner. Just look what they've done with the S8/+, Without the button, it's insanely beautiful. I've only owned a samsung within my work, i'd personally NEVER buy one. But the S8+ changed my mind. The position of the scanner isnt even a big problem. Although i'd like to see it in the middle like the 6p and all other correctly placed scanners. But i've got no problems reaching it.
I find the sensor on the S8+ to work very well. I had given up using the one on my Note7, since it failed to identify my fingerprint half the time. But on the S8+ it's much more accurate. And I like that it turns on and unlocks the phone with just a touch (like the Nexus 6P I had before).
I'm even getting used to the placement. Particularly with a case on the phone, the cutout of which helps identify the location by feel, it doesn't seem like a problem anymore.
Works great for me.
Phone is lock in pocket. Pull it out and put finger on sensor and it unlock to home screen..
Works as it should.
Iris scanner works like this if you pick the phone up from wireless charging.
It's really starting to grow on me, especially when Samsung Pay. I don't know how many times I pressed too hard on the Home /fingerprint sensor and ended up closing SP and starting over.

I had a S7 Edge Duos for a day and tried Nova for a short time. I set the double tap gesture and Nova told me about a workaround.
If I wanted it to unlock right away it would ask for a PIN everytime but if I let Nova set a black screen for 5 seconds and then lock itself it would unlock with the finger scanner.
Ontopic:
I totally love that the phone is unlocking this way now. I freaking hated that I had to press a button before the fingertip scanner would unlock the phone and it only lasted 24 hours with me.
Exactly the way I like it. Got used to it on my LG V20.

I hate it too!
I just bought a S9+ and I really hate this feature. I am CONSTANTLY accidentally unlocking my phone. The fingerprint scanner is fantastic in that I barely touch it and it unlocks. Perhaps I just need to delete all of my fingerprints except a pinkie or something weird, so maybe try that. At this point, I just had to turn off my fingerprints together because it was getting sooooo annoying, but I'll probably do the pinkie thing eventually because I loathe having to do a PIN.

I got massive fingers and constantly encounter this issue. Not everyone has fingers the size of rice puffs that accidental unlocks aren't an issue.

Honor 6X - Touch screen randomly freezes?

So few months ago, I kind of broke the phone (fell from a certain height, screen cracked and body bent).
I got it fixed, however I've been noticing something.
The screen randomly stops responding. None of the touch works. I have to lock and unlock the phone for it to function. Everything else works perfectly.
I've done a factory reset (soft and hard as well) but the problem continues to persist.
I love this phone but this problem is really annoying and frustrating. Desperately need your help guys.
You must have got your screen replaced and seems it is duplicate screen now.
I have the same issue on my iPhone 5S. Screen freezes sometimes and works only after lock unlock and it is a duplicate screen.

Fingerprint scanner

Noticed someone mention it about the pixel 2xl, but anyone else experiencing issues with the regular Pixel 2 fingerprint scanner? Randomly having to sign in using my password because the fingerprint scanner isn't working. Last phone was the Nexus 5x and never had issues like this unless my fingers were wet. Tried registering my fingers, but to no avail... Google told me that unless I hard reset my phone they can't exchange it, but any time I hard reset my phone, regardless how backed up it is, something gets lost.
I will say I have not had issues with the scanner. The accuracy is better than the original Pixel.
Sorry to report, no scanner problems here.

My guess is the phone is rebooting without you knowing about it. Anytime you reboot your phone your password, pin or pattern is required before the fingerprint scanner will unlock it. It sounds like this is what's happening.
That's what I was going to suggest. It's easy to confirm: the PIN screen should tell you that you need to re-enter the PIN after a reboot.
I've found the scanner itself to be flawless.
No issues hear thing is so friggin fast I use it more then acculy unlocking my phone with the power button. Only time I have to pin is on reboot and after 4 hour of inactivity in a smart lock location.
I do, yes, but what I think it happening is that the sensor is being triggered while in my pocket and it's hitting a failed attempts threshold which requires the pin. It happens more often if I'm sweaty.
My biggest gripe with the fingerprint scanner is the fact that it seems physically smaller than the OG pixel (I don't still have it to compare). But the software still has the same maximum number of fingers. Therefore it is NOT as good as the OG pixel at doing a full finger profile, and it has shown in my use.
Fast as **** though
I've noticed the finger print scanner tends to struggle with my finger after doing the dishes or washing hands. This is on a Pixel 2

my one week old oneplus 7 pro's screen just died

idk what happened one minute it was working i lock it try to unlock it again and the screen just doesnt work. touch response feedback is working but the screen is just totally black. had restarting rebooting into safe mode and all that software stuff didnt do anything. the phone hasnt been damaged or dropped, its really weird anyone have a solution or ran into the same thing
