Hi,
I want to install Viper on my GS4 i9500, i am currently running Aurora rom v7 based on lollipop 5.0.1. I tried dowbloading the zip for viper4android from XDA official forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223) however none of the zips were working; everytime i download and try to extract it says "bad zip file". So can anyone please point me to a working zip file for viper4android and also help me in installing and setting it up for the first time.
Thanks.

Mediafire link works and zip ok. Don't use your mobile internet to download the zip but a computer with broadband.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, i have downloaded and installed Viper and its driver as well; however it is still asking to install the driver every time i open it. Is it a known issue ? If yes then how to fix it; i have followed the instructions as given in the official forum.

The point is that for Anhdroid 5.0 and later you'll need to set your kernel to "permissive". You can use "SELinux Mode Changer" for doing so, if you have no option to install a permanent "permissive" kernel.
BTW Please press the "thanks" buton at the bottom of my posts
Its still the same issue, its still asking to install/update the drivers and even after changing the mode with the the app you posted it still shows SELinux in enforcing mode. Doesn't standard Linux commands like "sestatus" work android ? How to i permanently set the SELinux mode to Permissive rather than Enforcing ?
Isnt there any config file for selinux where i can make the change and then reboot the phone ?

Are your sure about you granted root permissions for both apps? Which superuser app is actually installed on the phone?

Good day everyone, this is a guide on how to enable Xposed on EMUI 3.1 (Working tested by me using the deodex method) and EMUI 4.0 (Working tested by me also and confirmed working by @Blackball,). - (Update using the deodex method 10-4-2016)
First of all the original guide for making this work on Huawei roms http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765. Ty @mfbcool for your guide and help. Please follow his instructions to the letter for making it work on our device.
- ([15-4-2016] New Instructions on the original thread no need to deodex the rom files, a working xposed zip has been developed for Huawei devices just flash it in twrp and do the build.prop modifications before you flash the zip for your version of rom. Already tested by me)
So my role in this is to highlight all the tips needed for making it work on our device, and the issues i faced when doing it. ([15-4-2016] The original thread is self explanatory, all of the tips here are already mentioned there this thread was created when we needed to deodex the rom files. So forgive me if i am not adding much.)
Notes
- I think a lot of the members were installing the wrong xposed files for our device we need the ARM-64 SoC files for our device because it's using the Kirin 930.
The Tips:
Lollipop:
1. The xposed files needed for your device are under the heading of: on Lollipop 5.0.x is: Xposed for EMUI 3.1 Android 5.0. (If you are on Lollipop 5.1.1 is: Xposed for EMUI 3.1 Android 5.1.1, if Marshmallow: Xposed for EMUI 4.0 Android 6.0)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765
2. Make sure that after you install the xposed apk , you go to "build.prop" in /system using any file explorer with root and edit the line "ro.config.hwtheme=1" to "ro.config.hwtheme=0" and then save the file with the defualt permissions or you will get a bootloop. why editing the build.prop is important because without changing this the framework will not be active, you will get a red message saying framework not active. The only way to activate it is by editing this line or in the xposed app go to Settings if you enable "disabled resources hooks" doing that and then restarting will activate the framework but whatever module that uses resources will not work. So the only way working without affecting the modules is editing the build.prop file.
Marshmallow:
1. Make sure to add these lines ro.config.hwtheme=0 and ro.config.hw_theme=0 in build.prop in order for xposed to work and make sure to save the file with the defualt permissions or you will get a bootloop.
If you follow the original guide exactly and the tips you should have no issues making Xposed work.
P.S: By the way first boot may take a while (15+ mins), So don't be afraid.
Special thanks again to @mfbcool for his guide & help, and @pudup for directing me to the guide.
Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-UL00 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Thanks for the guide.

I cant install xposed. When i install it, after reboot i get black screen with only one button of the navigation bar (i can access the shutdown menu from lock key, and i can access and the notification pannel, but nothing more). This is solved when i install the uninstall file.
My phone is already rooted. I firstly installed apk, and then installed xposed via twrp. I've tried to wipe the Dalvik but it doesnt solved.
My p8 is gra-L09, lollipop. Used this files: XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk, xposed-v80-sdk21-arm64.zip, xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64.zip.
What AM i doing wrong?

Did you deodex the rom? you have to deodex in order for xposed to work for Huawei devices, which version of Lollipop are you using?.
I flashed today the C636B320 Marshmallow firmware, and then i deodexed the rom per instructions to make xposed work on Marshmallow.
First attempt i failed because i didn't wait enough, you see the screen will get stuck on Huawei boot animation without any sign that anything is happening(no app update notification card like in Lollipop) for like a 20+ mins. Then voilĂ the phone booted normally. Also exposed is working fine no issues, make sure to flash xposed-v80-sdk23-arm64.zip instead of the latest one v81 which doesn't seem to work for me.

I realized that, that i was missing the other tutorial and solved it. Thanks anyway
I've got busybox installed properly, it's Stericson's, I've checked if it's working and it is, I have given root permission to V4A and I have plenty of space for the drivers to be installed. I'm on a rooted h959 15e image, I'm not really willing to revert back to previous software versions, and I'm stuck with this problem. The exact message I get is "Driver install failed: The busybox installation found on your device does not work. This usually means you installed a wrong or broken busybox. V4A needs Stericson's busybox to work. If you are sure you installed busybox properly, then please confirm your device has been completely rooted". But it is rooted, I can access all types of root-only things like xposed and root booster. SELinuxModeChanger is set to permissive, I have tried with both V4A apps from the DXA thread and from the (not the FX one) one in Google Play, and I have already tried uninstalling and installing everything, and I have also tried reflashing my rooted_system.img countless times. So root is working, busybox is working, SELinuxModeChanger is properly set up, why isn't it working? Also I noticed something, when I reboot my phone, SELinuxModeChanger changes the SELinux mode back to enforcing, but if I turn on the option to show a notification after the mode changes, the notification IS showed, so it must mean it's working, right? I have tried before without poweramp and dolby atmos, but as of now I'm using both. I don't even know if V4A will work with Atmos and Poweramp (Atmos and Poweramp do work together, though), but I just need to try it, even if it means uninstalling atmos. So I'm completely out of options. The only thing that I can think of is if there's a way to manually install the drivers (latest updated/updatable super audio quality ones), but I don't know if that's possible. So anyway, can anyone help me with this?
You should flash a zip from this site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/themes-apps/viper4android-t2952137. I used this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3667403&d=1456929089, and it works. Of course, flashfire v0.24 is required.

I'm flashing the zip file viper|atmos 5.5 sony beats edition with flashfire 0.50, and nothing's happening. Again, SELinux mode is permissive and busybox is installed, but atmos app and viper app won't show up, and when installing the app from the playstore, it says the driver is not installed. Help, please?

1. First, install ViPER4Android apk from the official site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223. You can choose between the old (v2.3.4.0) and new (v2.4.0.1) version.
2. Then flash a zip from this site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/themes-apps/viper4android-t2952137. I used "ViPERAudio 5.4 Stock.zip" (compatible with V4A v2.4.0.1). You can also choose "ViPERAudio 4.7.1 Stock.zip", if you have V4A v2.3.4.0 installed. I didn't try other mods (such as "viper|atmos 5.5 sony beats edition"), so I don't know if they work.
3. For flashing, you have to use FlashFire v0.24, other versions don't work with the device. Link: http://flashfireapk.com/flashfire-0.24.apk.
* Also, you don't have to change SELinux.
Thanks

Thank you very much, friend, I'm gonna try your method right now. Just one question, why doesn't flashfire 0.50 work with the g flex 2? I flashed Xposed with it and it worked. Isn't 0.24 an older version?
How do you test the benefits?

Actually, I don't know. I've read somewhere that v0.24 is the only working version for our flex 2. I didn't want to brick my device, so I used v0.24. I've had no problems with it so far.

I've tried with version 0.24 and it didn't work either. I'm gonna test the g flex 2 flash mod (the one with g4 tweaks and etc) with flashfire 0.24, since it says to use that version and it didn't work flashing it with 0.50, and if it still doesn't work for me, I'll revert back to 0.50, since it worked flashing dolby atmos (seperate from viper4audio, but the viper4audio-only zip file didn't flash). I fixed my problem of drivers not installing, so I'll just install atmos again and install the v4a drivers through the app. But thank you all for your help, really . If I menage to get all the mods I have working, I'll make a thread so that H959 rooted 15e image users can enjoy the best experience in their G flex 2.
maybe you never get viper4 to work in GF2...i did it many times with diferent methods and never never get it to work...even use the flashfire 0.24 (the only working to install zips on GF2) you never get a driver to work!
i recomend to you install Dolby Atmos see Apps section in this forum of GF2...the Dolby Atmos works like a charm and do the good job as Viper4.
(i am not sure but because of architeture of the SD810 Viper4 the latest version never will work on our device!)
That's strange... I'm on H955 v15c, V4A 2.4.0.1 with "ViPERAudio 5.4 Stock.zip" installed using FlashFire v0.24.
Everything works.

Everyone... I... I... I FINALLY GOT TO GET ALL THE MODS I WANTED TO WORK!! *dances frenetically*:laugh::laugh::victory: I'm gonna make a thread so that every user with a h959 G Flex2 can enjoy this tuned experience I achieved! Thank you all for your help! If you guys are interested in knowing what mods I managed to make work on the latest software version of the G Flex2 (that is, on the h959 ones), keep an eye on the thread I'm about to make! *celebrates into oblivion* (erm... this is embarassing... I'm a newbie here and... um... how exactly do I "close" or delete this thread? I mean, my problem is solved so... what do I do?
Install busybox from google play, set selinux to permissive and You guys have to uncheck an option on supersu app. Option named "namespace separation". After uncheck that option reboot phone and try to install viper driver again.
Hey guys,
I'm into the Android from the very beginning and I would love to get rid of a problem which is driving me crazy for some time
I was trying to flash the Viper driver to get the great sound quality again. I'm now on the latest nougat.
Already unlocked the bootloader, rooted it and flashed the TWRP. Saw an thread about how to install it properly on the Honor8 and I did everything correct in my opinion.
I have the 1.26.2-meefik busybox now installed in system/xbin path (which seems to be working correctly overall) and otherwise everything seems working good except that when I try to open the Viper it says that I don't have root OR that i have to install the driver, and after pressing yes my phone just reboots and does the very same thing as previously.
Am I missing something?
Feel free to ask something more if you need.
I had this same situation, just kept installing the driver, reboot, repeat, making no progress... I finally got mine to work thank goodness! Are you remembering to use a root file Explorer and go to /vendor/etc and rename the file named audio_effects.config to audio_effects.config.bak after flashing but before installing V4A? That was my main problem. And you have to be sure to do it on a clean setup, so if you've already installed V4A you need to clean out and start again. Also u need a kernel auditor to set selinux to permissive upon boot. These two steps are key...

I got same problem, solutions for my was:
1. install BusyBox by Meefik ( Google play)
2. install Kernel Adiutor ( https://github.com/yoinx/kernel_adiutor/raw/master/download/app/app-release.apk ) ( Kernel Adiutor from Google play dont work)
3. opem BusyBox tap Install
4. open Kernel Adiutor and go to Misc Controls, change Current SELinux Status: Permissive (after reboot SELinux stay premissive :good
5. flash Viper4 via TWRP
6. go to folder: root/vendor/etc and rename file from audio_effects.conf to audio_effects.conf.bak
7. open Viper4
8. Install driver (thats can take 1-3 min)
9. reboot - done

Hello everyone,
2 weeks ago my Honor 6x arrived and today I finally decided to unlock the bootloader and root it. Until now everything worked more or less fine (I can't remove preinstalled Swiftkey for example), but there's one thing that really annoys me. Viper4Android isn't working. I tried every trick I know and managed to get it to installing the driver, but after that the status was "Abnormal" Does someone know a solution ?
Thanks in advance
I downloaded guitardedheroes viper for Android from the honor 8 forums. I use kernel adiutor mod (not playstpre version but version from XDA ) to set selinux to permissive. Also don't forget to rename audio_effects.conf in /vendor/Etc to audio_effects.conf.bak

I tried as you said but now since installed as system app (and yes i uninstalled the other version before ^^) V4A doesn't ask for root access and without that it can't install the driver.
