in my opinion there is no problem and you can revert to your favorite firmware using the rebrand method.

i`m heading to huawei multi tool and it worked fine , installed basic system C185B172 but not the whole files , it seems cust.img not found in mate 9 update.app
after starting the mate , my pc recognize it as (generic a1 )

Can't understand how Huawei phones work on this department...
I have an NXT-L29 model. It has now C432 B170. I have unlocked bootloader (have the code saved) and after that left it stock just flashed TWRP and then rooted it. Now I was thinking of going to B320 and doing the same (TWRP,Root).
1) I downloaded NXT-L29C432B320 stock
2) unzipped it.
3) In memory card made folder dload and put update.app in.
4) Did the dialer code and selected upgrade from SD.
5) Nothing happens. Just enters TWRP.
Also tried to hard reset with Hisuite but it says my model isn't supported. What are the correct steps?? I just want B320 and root.
Tried stock recovery already?

Extact the RECOVERY.img from UPDATE.APP with Huawei Extractor and flash the Recovery via Fastboot,install the B320.

But i go back from B320 to B180.B180 is better Batterylife and better stable.B320 had many Bugs wrong location and read in Forum.Newest for you is B321.

im stuck now in Erecovery no os and the boot loader is relocked frp also locked.
i can reach fastboot mode
what i tryed:
1 skt tool any command is failed and not allowed and italian knife with same thing
2 adb fasboot manual command same thing
3 sd card dload same thing 5% and failed
dc unlocker and hcu i cant buy a cridet because i live in sudan with no any online card no paypal no any thing
try this : fastboot getvar rescue_version
it will tell you which version you should use in dload
or this : fastboot getvar rescue_phoneinfo
I'm sorry, not at home to try them right now.
With relocked Bootloader/Frp will fastboot not work.
Which Mate 8 Version and Firmware on it?

Press and hold the three Buttons Vol- Vol+ and Power Button at same Time,you see the Update and wait up the Finish.
Next Download MM Firmware from here

Thank u but my phone is totally dead
Now its work and methods I use is :
1.Flash frp with any rom useing eft flasher with dongle
2. Now dload is live again so sd card rollback c900b500
3. Sd card b180
4. Now I can recive ota updates

Eh? Not sure if you realise that's a custom rom based on b131, it's certainly not "stock"
On step 4, he is providing a link to download full stock version to update phone before installing his custom ROM, I downloaded the stock file, unzipped it and you get the three files to update with HuRupdater, running full stock 131 on my phone from that link. ??

You need to flash the unofficial TWRP https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3779400
This version allows you to decrypt storage. From what I can see you have flashed official version that does not allow this.
Once you have flashed correct TWRP you then need to remove all security measures (password, fingerprint, face unlock) before booting into recovery. You should then see the folders appear normally.

Hi people , i need your help. I rebranded my mate 9 with Oreo from C185 to AL00 with firmw B375 to test EMUI9. After unsuccsessful attemps i decided to go back and rebrand to C185 again so i installed TWRP and applied the rebrand. After the phone rebooted i try to reinstall TWRP but in fastboot mode the phone display PHONE locked and FRP Lock so i cannot install custom recovery. Also in developer options "OEM unlocking" its grayed so im stucked.
What are my options ? I tried the dload folder method copying update.app from MHA-L09C185B383 but it hangs on 5% when trying to install. I think i can rebrand AL00 to anything but must be on nougat and i dont know how to rollback from Oreo and dont want to brick my phone.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Nope , thats the problem. FRP locked, OEM unlockinh is grayed and i only have stock recovery. When trying to reinstall with VolUp+VolDown+Power it fails at 5%.
Basically , i need to rebrand a MHA-AL00 with firmware from dic/2018 to anything else
