I got my second unit back from repair, unfortunately, the blue LEDs still do not work. Is this a series fault? Someone else with the problem?

thank you that worked but I couldn't get to the display connector without having a star-screwdriver....
And not sure that it is just a loose cable.
What can it be?? Display is not damaged, backlight works, just the panel doesent changes the pixel.
Anybody had this issue one time before?
thanks

Display problem

So my phone suddenly started flickering out of the blue. And had lines going down vertically. I restarted the phone and then the display was fine but the touch screen wouldn't work. Upon another restart it was just a blank screen with white vertical lines.
Figuring something must be wrong with the screen I ordered a new one, and upon install the new screen has the same problem. Blank screen vertical white lines.
Not sure if another component is faulty.
What do you guys recommend?
Did you drop the device? Sounds like component damage somewhere

Not sure what happened, just started happening randomly. I know its a hardware problem not a software problem. What component could it be?
So the mic piece has a long strip that connects to the motherboard and when I press down on it or wiggle it, the screen flashes so im assuming that component is malfunctioning, and I found a replacement piece on amazon for $17 bucks with prime shipping so hopefully Wednesday the replacement piece will fix my issue.

Horizontal lines and now a black screen

My trusty old Nexus 5 has been showing horizontal white lines on the screen the past few weeks. Whenever this started to happen, it would detect taps in random areas on the screen or become unresponsive. Rebooting the phone would temporarily fix the problem. Last night the battery got entirely drained and now when I boot the phone, it only shows a black screen. The led at the bottom is flashing in white. Has anyone been able to fix this issue? I was thinking that maybe a LSD cable got loose, so it's fixable, but from what I've read it's likely that the LCD is broken?
I hope someone can shed some light on what the issue is and whether I can fix it or not.
Thanks in advance.
Was the phone every dropped? It could be the LCD or motherboard. I think the only way to really tell would be to move the motherboard to a working phone to see what happens when you try to boot.

Screen doesn't work after new start

I got the following issue which has been confirmed by Samsung Service desk to be occur more often:
After power down (switching of) and start-up the screen stays blind//black. Phone seems to work (LED and sound notifications). Attaching to PC with USB phone is recognized as normal. Hard reset via power and volume down bottom (and home button) seems to work but still screen stays blind. Phone is now on its way for repair. Will keep updated once I got news.
Anyone else here has same problem? Cures? Root-cause?
no one?
I had the problem 4 months ago.
The screen went black a few times but always goes up after 10 minutes of pressing vol down + power button. But after a lot of time doing that, it finally went absolutely black like yours, and yes the phone was working cause I could hear my ringtone, see the led blinking and it vibrated sometimes.
Then they repaired it free of charge even if my knox was 0x1. I don't know if the issue is root related or not. I was rooted and on SuperMan Rom.
Hi thanks, for the reply. Mine is 100% original and being repaired currently. Not sure yet what the cause is but will share it once I got the feedback.
Cheers,
Steven
Update 28/11/2016: According to repair-shop it's the motherboard. Anyone else had issues like this?

When I had this issue, they told it was an issue with the motherboard and the lcd panel and they changed both according to the reparation report.

Not personally, but have read another one member at least, here having the same problem
Update 6-12: I'll get my phone returned this week. Apperently a faulty motherboard was the cause of this error. Samsung and it's official repair center where negatively in the news this week on a Dutch consumer program. Reason is not having enough OLED replacement screens so consumers are "forced" to buy a new one. [in Dutch: http://kassa.vara.nl/nieuws/reactie...eprocedure-van-beeldschermen-van-smartphones].

Only black light on my phone after replacing LCD

Hello all,
I have tried looking for a solution for this problem, but none can be applied to my case, so here it is: I have a UMi Iron Pro, and after the screen cracked earlier this year, I ordered a new LCD + Digitizer. I have now replaced the screen, but when I turn it on, it only emits black light. The phone does charge (according to the notification light) and my laptop recognizes a USB device when I connect it. However, the phone is quite useless now...
So, does anyone know what could have caused this problem? I am happy with any input.
Thanks in advance, Dennis
