Maybe the screen you bought is not compatible. Someone had the same problem with the screen staying on the MI logo and apparently the screen wasn't compatible.

how can i tell if is compatible or not?
it is a common issue with replacement screens. I don't think you can do that much for it.
Try to find a original display part or giveup

The oddest thing happened last night well actually earlier this morning....i normally dont charge my tab up until it reaches 1% of battery left....so i got a notification for updates for maps and zino right before i was about to connect to my charger i think i was at 7 of 8% of battery so i went on and tried to update...both apps came back with an error about package something so i tried turning my wifi off to see if that would help and it didnt so i continue what i was doing on my tab when it reached near death i connected it to the charge thats when the wonkinest started when it got back to about the 8% it reset it self i didnt think much of it but once it came on it turned it self off and as it was powered off... I saw a friend of mine acer brick after ICS so i was nervous but i was able to turn it back on. It stayed on the samsung screen for a while then loaded right when it said date/time up to date it cut off again and went to the screen where it was uploading the software i was darn near in tears it loaded all the the stuff and came back on normal and i noticed that the maps and zino apps was updating before i could stop them they both were installed..i'm curious if it has happened to anyone else upon update those apps, or could it be that I should wait til the battery is near death...basically any insight would be nice please
I think that the device will reserve some energy to safely power off. It could happened that when you connected your charger it was already turning itself off.
Anyway is not very good for your battery, to wait until near death to charge.

Hi!
I have switched my broken screen with a new one onto my G2, but after that it has started to act strange! I can charge it, but only "slow charge because of low power from power output", and when I connect it to my computer it just shows up as "unrecognized device". I've tried different cables and computers with same result.
And now another problem has occured, when I start the phone it seems to start normal with the LG logo and startup sound. But it is SUPER-LAGGY! Like 2 fps, the screen is responding but with super-delay. If I lock the screen, and then try to unlock it again, it's just black. Like it doesnt have the power to light up again, I still hear the sound of it unlock after swiping over the screen but the lcd stays dark.
But if I make a soft reset (holding powerbutton + volume down) it boots up and the lcd is lit, still superlaggy, and after locking it once it stays black.
As I said I've replaced the LCD and digitizer + bought a new usb-connector flex cable and switched it but the problem is still there.
Can anybody help me with this? I've googled for days and not found a single one with the same problem.
Regards, Björn.

That theory has crossed my mind, but it seems a bit weird if it was broken since it boots and everything seems to work exept it cant connect to a PC, and is running at 2 fps.

if it's broked does not mean that the device can normally boot....
my brother on GS4 were on the same situation, the device can boot normally but the screen is unusable because weird lines and artifacts appear.... he sent the device to samsung and the screen was ok
sorry for bad english typo
Hello,
Ive tried to look for a similar situation in other thread but each case is different so i open a new one.
This morning, when i took my idol 3 the screen did not switch off when pressing power button. I thought it was battery but when i plugged charger, nothing happened except the led is on continuously. I kept power button pressed for 10 seconds. The phone vibrates shortly but still a black screen, no sound and no reaction from the touch panel. Power+vol+ did not led me to my twrp recovery. What can i do now to get it work again? The phone is rooted with Rom Eu 4.2 from murigny64 and it is the first time i encounter this issu. Thanks in advance for helping me
Tonight i disconnected the battery for about 30min then connect it again. Then i tried to start in recovery: Just a vibration but no display and no sound. I unplugged/plugged the battery again and try to start. Same problem. What the hell could happen? Maybe a deffective hardware
Insist on boot ( normal or in to recovery with vol + and power).
That is a hardware brick.
Happened to me to some times, insist, it will unbrick

Hopelessly i tried to restart several times before you post your message. But im gonna try again.
I charged the phone all the night but nothing better and the phone is not detected on pc so no adb action possible.
Maybe the battery is dead...

Can be, can be to... To bad if is battery.
But still trying to boot, is very difficult to.
.
thank you for advise but it's still not working. I spend about 30 minutes trying different combination of button: power pressed until it vibrate, power+vol up, power+vol down, power+vol up & down, discontinuous press of power with charger and no charger....and so on. Its a complete failure.
If it is the battery, there was no sign of weakness before (short life, random shutoff, ....) . It happen suddenly: I lock my screen before sleeping and the next morning no way to switch it on again.
I thought I would avoid problems for long with a twrp recovery, a backup and adb tools on my pc.....but for hardware issues its useless.
How can I be sure it is battery before purchasing another one ?

If it was the screen the touch panel would work and i could sense vibration when typing the pin code no?
The led bright continuously when i plug instead of flashing slowly as it used to do when charging. That why i think its battery.
...and when i start in recovery the phone is not detected on my pc
That's hardware brick. Don't give up, try to boot, normally or in recovery, keep trying it will boot.
Have you tried to open the phone and disconnect battery? Custom ROMs made me similar issue a few times.

Therefore the back can be dismantle and we can access battery and that s what i did.
Yes i disconnected it for several hours and pluged it again but it gave me the same result. And now it doesnt vibrate anymore when i keep the power button pressed a while.
I purchased a battery on internet and im waiting for delivery to test if im right or not. Il feedback about the test.
Anyway its nice from you to look for any solution. Thanks

I guess you did everything properly, so just one thing: at first time when I did this, I choosed the wrong cable (which didn't 'reset' the phone), so I hope you pulled both out.

I think i choose the good connection: This is the one over the battery with 6 wires: 2 red, 2 white and 1 black (see picture attached). I just left it with a small screwdriver to disconnect.

Yep, that's it
Hello,
I received the new battery today.
So i unpacked it, i unplugged the old one and plugged the new one ...and guess what happened......the same bevahiour as with the old battery: when i press the button power, it vibrate but it doesnt start neither in recovery nor in normal mode.
I just precise that the new battery is charged at 50%........:crying:
So the problem is not the battery but it was the only thing i could test by myself before sending the phone to alcatel for repair.
Im still wondering what could happen to my idol 3: It had been woking perfectly for months and one morning with no warning, it refuse to switch on. Ok sorry for annoying us and hope it wont happen with yours.
I hope alacatel will apply the guarantee although the phone is rooted and bootloader unlocked....because its a hardware issue i think.
Hello,
Just to conclude. The phone got back from repair after 10 days. They have changed motherboard, battery and also the back that was damaged. Its a brand new phone .
Hey guys dropped my mi5s plus the phone will show black screen after mi logo then black screen then power off..
Everything was kept stock on this phone.
Holding power+vol down= fast boot
Holding power+vol up= battery icon in the centre of the screen..

fastboot and recovery are ok
does device switch off automatically in fastboot mode ?
I think problem is battery discharged completely and it is not charging
Phone dropped ≠ bricked, it seems more like phone dropped = phone damaged.

and I dropped mine from waist high twice, and its flipped mid-air high enough before thudded on concrete.... slipped thru my hand...
first time landed on screen-down - second time it landed on its back....
lucky there's no damage at all....
Hi,
I have the same problem, but the phone is charging normally...
Phone fell from about 30 cm (with screen to the floor) and turned off. Since then I'm unable to turn it on. I have mi logo, then mi logo with android sign, I feel a vibration and screen turns black. Buttons are flashing for about 10-20 seconds and phone turns off.
I'm unable to flash it with miflash (it's locked and even the global/chinese rom doesn't suit). I tried with wipe and chinese pc suite, but nothing helps.
Edit: OK, it was charging normally I think, but for now it's stuck on 59% and doesn't charge at all...

No, I don't have one. But my firmware doesn't support deep flashing anymore.
Hard brick
Hi,
After installing EU.Rom, my MI5s Plus turned into hard brick. Nothing works anymore. It does show in device manager, but that´s it. Also not noticed in MI Flash Tool.
In CMD (ADB and Fastboot) it says "device not attached". I have read about Deep Flash, but have no idea how to use this or where to buy it.
Can anyone help me out here? Thanks a lot.

Hi,
What you you mean your phone was closed? I've never used the terms opening or closing a phone.
I've never had an issue charging my Mi Note 10 (Global version.) If your phone isn't charging, and doesn't display the charging status, you are probably best returning back to were you bought it.

If it doesn't start up and there's no reason for that (not dropped it, got it wet, bricked it whilst installing customer software ect,) then I'd return it.
You could try a factory reset, also known as a hard reset.
