This may be a stupid question. I just installed the AOKP 4.2 build 5.
I am wondering how to assign the hardware keys?
I want to use long press home to do voice search, recent button as menu key, and long press recent as recent apps.
Also I miss having swipe up in lock screen to access google now. is there any way to set it?
It looks like I have to enable navigation bar in order to have quick access to google now.
Please help.

Sorry, but don't run the same rom as you. In Liquidsmooth the option is under settings>interface>hardware keys
I was wondering if anyone is aware of a way to decrease capacitive buttons delay on the opo? Having to wait so long to bring up recent app list or go to Google Now is simply not acceptable for me after coming from N5 where it was instant. I know I can use on screen buttons but I would like to stick using the capacitive ones but with decreased delay. I am running ART so xposed is not an option. I would also like to stay with stock luncher if possible. Please let me know guys, any help will be much appreciated! (BTW, I searched the forums and Google and found nothing, if it is somewhere out there I apologise in advance!)
What shortcut do you use to bring those things up? Long press? Have your tried double tap instead? I use double tap home for recent apps and it's delay isn't as much as long press home for recent apps

NOTE: On a rooted device, this is the fastest, most reliable and problem-free method for remapping Bixby (no limitations, no setup)
Button Mapper allows you to remap any action you want to physical or capacitive hardware buttons. This includes volume buttons, Bixby button, and many buttons on game controllers and other hardware you attach to your phone.
You can map shortcuts, apps or actions to single press, double tap and long press for hardware buttons.
The Bixby button on the Galaxy S9 and S9+ is supported as of version 0.62
Bixby remapping of single, double and long press is completely free. No ads. Pro version not required.
Does not require root. If your device is rooted, you will have many more options (essentially unlimited). Also with root, Bixby remapping does not involve any hacks, it is implemented at the input level (native).
This does require an adb command to remap Bixby on unrooted devices. It's a one-time setup. I do not use the method used by other apps because it leads to a poor user experience (i.e. swiping right causes actions to occur, gets stuck in a loop)
This app is continually updated with new features and improvements.

I'm unable to test because I don't have a computer at the moment for the adb command, so just had a question. Does this allow for one of the remapped options to still be bixby, specifically the screen/feed you get when swiping right on the default launcher? ie remap bixby button single tap to flashlight, remap double tap to bring up bixby feed (or regular bixby)?
Perfect! Thank you. Why won't it work with the screen off though?

The best way to use the button for both Bixby and something else would be to have single press open Bixby and long press turn on the flashlight.
To do this, leave the bixby button "on" in bixby settings, leave single press default in Button Mapper, and set long press to flashlight.

It used to, I think Samsung must have changed something.
EDIT: actually, I did something. I will re-enable screen off next update.

Good app, however, it needs a permission to record video!
can you please explain why?

The screenshot function uses Android's cast API and the flashlight requires the camera permission. The app never records video.
The app will ask for permissions as needed, that way you know which action requires the permission.

Thanks for great work man
Sent from my Samsung SM-G965F using XDA Labs
This app's pretty good. I am unrooted and did the recommended ADB step and it works perfectly. Unlike other remap apps, it doesn't accidentally launch Bixby if you set it up correctly. The extra button is finally useful!

Might be a false reading. On GSAM, mine is reading as 0.1% in the last hour of use.
I've never even seen it in the Battery drainer list. It could be any number of things on your device.

And it doesn't. I'm running it on a S9 and and an S8 for several months and battery use is negligible.

The screenshot is definitely the problem. Unfortunately the bug is for Samsung to fix, as it seems AOD has a problem when using Android's cast API (which I use to take screenshots without root).
Quick video guide showing how to remap the Bixby button on the Galaxy S9 phones. The app requires some permissions then allows you to change the button to anything. It can open any app, Camera, use it as a power button, power menu, etc.

Removed. Wrong Post.
No matter what I try bxactions tells me I still need to disable the Bixby button but it is disabled.
Ok, after joining your beta program I've now gotten it to tell me the Bixby button is disabled. But then I go to enable remapping the button but it won't stick. I exit out of the buttons menu and then go back and remapping is again disabled. Hmmmmmm

I can confirm this to be true. A reset makes AOD work again. It works again for a while but then stops again after a while.
Everyone new to BxActions should get the Pro version. The speed it provides, not to mention the extra remap options, are more than worth it.

Would you happen to be the developer? The pro version or connecting it to a pc also lets you use a double and triple press action with the app.

I haven't noticed an option for triple presses.
Holy permissions.
Up to now I was using bxActions to remap the bixby button (single press).
I just upgraded to Pie and now the single press remap does not seem to work.
Bixby single press always shows the message 'Hold the bixbutton to start bixby.'
A remap on the long press still works and launches the requested application.
Is there a way to remap the single press on bixby in Android Pie?

I think you must disable bixby home or bixby sthg. using ADB method and then restart app or reboot.
Tried this on an S9+ with Lineage OS and there's no permssions available for the bixby button when the app asks for it, only the volume buttons....
What's the problem?
So, i downloaded Google Assistant from the play market on the watches, and was able to bind it to replace Samsung Pay with GW4 Remap.
Though, "com.google.android.wearable.assistant/com.google.android.wearable.assistant.MainActivity" doesn't turn on the voice record right after launching the app.
How do i know what to type instead of "MainActivity" at the end, so that it would record my voice right from the start?
I know that it is doable since normal launch through the apps records voice right as i launch it just fine.
Also ***erto's google assistant has an "AudioRecordActivity" which doesn't seem to work for the standart assistant.
Any help? How do i know what to type?
You can now map assistant to the button directly without needing 3rd party tools (unless you're trying to map to the secondary button)

Turns out it's because there is no bixby in Russia, so, now i gotta figure out how to deal with this.
Location could be the reason, but another reason may be if your watch isn't up to date. I've attached the versions I'm on.
I think if you want to use that remapping thing, you're better off using Assistant Go or whatever.

actually, location is the reason, and I'm still trying to find a way to boot assistant with voice record active using gw4 remap.
