I have a Question about Sygic and TTS. Now with the latest Final on Sygic 17.1.10 , i cant use the TTS Voice. I have testet on my Mobile Phone and i can use TTS and System Voice. Does anybody know a sulotion to let them work on the MTCD Device with TTS Voice ?
This is the first Question!
The second: The old Problem with the GPS Monitor and TTS Voice. Does anybody know a sulotion to let them work like the system Voice, with the adjusted Volume and Musik ?
Mabye a Dev can make a Fix with a APK to let them work?
Thanks in advance
You have to install Google TTS from playstore, then you can select TTS voice sygic. On my mtcd it works.

Not very big, don't remember exactly. When you installed it, go to settings, language and input, then the settings of TTS, and download your language for offline use.

Thanks i found this sulotion to let tts work. Now the second question, ist it possible to let it work with the adjusted Volume and Musik ore its not possible with the GPS Monitor ? Standart works fine without tts.
Ik think you have to set Google TTS as nav app in GPS settings. Then you can mix volumes of nav voice and fm radio.

Can you give more detailed instructions on how you set this, please?
I noticed that radio volume dimming works with standard voices, but not with tts voices. If I set Google TTS as Nav app in settings, Sygic is not started when I tap on the Navigation button. Or should I just set Google TTS as the Nav app, and start Sygic through its own button?

I've the same problem. Sygic with Google TTS is always mixed with unchanged Radio sound, so hard to understand. The existing setting menu to mute or reduce Radio volume during Navi sound is not working (works only with standard voices). Its Android 9.
Seraching for a solution !!! Urgent !

Hey guys, just a quick question. Would it be possible to change the voice on Google nav? Like you can on tomtom satnavs.
Is it even possible?

I use SVOX with Victoria package (not free). All you have to do is change your default voice by going to your settings > Language and Settings > Voice Input & Output > Text-to-Speech Settings and change the default engine to SVOX (must already be downloaded from the market.

Hi there.
sry if this was already asked somewhere but I didnt find a solution for this issue.
I'm on latest stock Rom (JB 3.16, rooted).
GPS and Google maps works. Scrolling through the maps works too.
But when I activate the navigation it finds the GPS, tell me the Route and the arrow is moving.
But after ~10sec it freezes and I cant use the navigation app until it force close after a time.
Its really annoying..
Any idea how to solve? I already delete the app data.
Thanks in advance

I am having the exact same issue!
Anyone actually got it working? If so, how?
Many thanks!
have you installed a 3rd party keyboard?
i'm using swift key and all is well, but i thought i read somewhere that keyboards may cause an issue with the voice recognition thing
edit: i've been testing and it's working fine here
I can get to it to work on nexus 7 but not the 5

Sswipe left to the Google Now page and scroll down to the settings. Press Voice > Language and then English... > English (US). Then it will work.

You need to switch the language of Google Now to US English in the settings. Currently doesn't work in any other language unfortunately (even other forms of English!). Hope for update to fix this soon.
I don't see why Google couldn't do at least the other forms of English too. I mean, much less work than a completely different language. They already have voice recognition for all English sublangugaes, makes no sense to me why they couldn't enable it for UK English when the device can recognise the words 'OK Google' in my British accent just fine.
There have been a couple of times where it opens after saying Google now, but then hangs while trying to recognise what I've said and it sucks the battery (shows a lot of use under google services and google search), I have to restart the phone before it then works again.
Thanks guys much appreciated

it's somewhat per app... if the text block has the mic icon you don't need one on the keyboard so it doesn't show on the keyboard in some apps, especially if the app has a search function. and you can always use the hot words if you have it set to a compatible language...

well for example, it wont show up in hangouts, which is the only time i used this function (to text)
Yeah, this is important, I use it quite a bit to text. Swiftkey has it as a long press but I like the standard keyboard better so I'd prefer to use that.
You also need to enable voice typing, in addition to the mic.

Things that make me go "derp", thank you!
Also, I'm not sure if this is a requirement, but I did not see changes in my keyboard after changing those settings until after I performed a reboot. YMMV.

What's that doing between Google Pinyin and iWnnIME?
Ok I have been searching but it seems like either my keywords are wrong or just my phone. Anyway it seems like once I unlocked my bootloader, I could no longer use "ok google" on the Google launcher anymore. And I noticed that the mic image changed from the original image to the one with hollow center mic image once I unlocked. I don't know if anyone experienced this? Please share, and if yes, how to get this function back? It's not an important function of course but It's fun to use..

I've read this solution briefly somewhere but I didn't realise it applied to my situation until now. I feel quite dumb now haha. Really appreciate your reply, thanks a million D
