It is a side-by-side android browser that enables you to surf the normal internet pages/content while wearing vr glasses. You can use it also for online streaming, reading manga, watching your favorite videos as if your in a cinema! or even working anywhere without laptop/desktop (just your mobile, keyboard and mouse!).
For devices with Gyro sensor, you don't even need the keyboard and mouse. Just slightly move your head( like gaze based apps), put on your earphones and use its button for clicking/ dragging.
The browser is still undergoing heavy development (like making compatible VR keyboard in the next release isA, theater mode for 360 videos and other cools features ), but it's perfectly usable now.
Let me sum up the main current features:
=================================
Gyroscope based pointer. Move your head and use your earphones/handsfree/controller media button to click. You can perform continuous scrolling by dragging to the top/bottom of the screen. You can also use other configurations (like a USB keyboard/mouse using OTG cable, or a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, or bluetooth keyboard/mouse).
From the options menu, use the calibration settings to get the ideal configuration for your cardboard or VR glasses for optimum VR/3D experience.
Bookmarks. Before putting your phone into the cardboard, open all the links you need and add them to bookmarks. This way you won't have to remove it to type url. Do this until the VR keyboard is ready (in next release if Allah wills).
If you have a small screen, try decreasing the browser scale (in calibration settings) to show more content in the same area.
A basic ad pop up blocking is in place to give you less hassle while browsing.
If you have a bluetooth VR controller, use the mouse mode (press "Fn + D"). You can drag continuously by holding left click down and using the analogue stick.
Opening local video files (From the gallery/file manager. Android 5.0 & 5.1 only. will work on all 5.0+ in next release isA).
Keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+tab, ctrl+shift+tab, ctrl+t, ctrl+shift+t, ctrl+w, ctrl+r, esc).
Sign up for a Cloud 9 IDE account. Happy coding.
Install X11VNC and connect to your remote machine using NOVNC.
Install a local server, like Palapa Web-server and install your tools. Now, control everything from the browser.
Known Issues:
The normal soft-keyboard is not fit for VR browsing.
Can't use the gyroscope cursor to type.
Coming up next:
VR keyboard.
Theater mode (for 360 degree immersion and more video formats support).
Save/Load tabs from last times.
Most frequently visited launch screen.
Lens correction.
Mixed reality mode (have the browser in front of you, but see the camera feed when looking to the sides).
Kindly try the application and tell me what you think

Great! I'm glad it worked well for you
Since you are in Cairo too, may I ask what VR headset are you using? I've been trying to add support for DayDream and GearVR. but I don't nearly have enough cash It would be awesome to get some feedback from these devices owners.

for test purposes I'd suggest you to buy Google cardboard v2 (made with cardboard itself) costs just 2-3 $
another cheap and good enough cardboard

Thanks a lot for your reply . We're planning to do something similar and integrate the cardboard SDK first; as it is available in my country. On the other hand, I can't find any place that sells Daydream and buying it from outside Egypt almost doubles its price. The problem is that Daydream users seam to be the majority of my app users. That's why I'm more interested in testing it on daydream and getting feedback.

yah sorry I cant purchase Nomone vr browser. I wont and cant support censorship. I beat my meat to porn and love it. I have been married for 5 yrs and my wife booty claps to porn to. In fact we watch porn together while I make that booty clap. She loves it! We dont give a crap what you and your company think about porn or us for that matter. You should care about making money on your hard work but you obviously dont. Do you and your religion care about anything? lol:silly::silly:

is the development of this still active?
I was going to recommend a feature for gestures on the remote keyboard/mouse app.

New! Actual graphics and styles!
This app controls a Roku streaming video player over wifi using Roku's External Control Protocol. It's the best (possibly the only working) free one on the market and can even do a few things the paid apps can't!
Features:
Find and connect to your player in less than 10 seconds without having to manually enter its address - even works with players connected over wifi!
Roku ECP - way more reliable than the old Telnet protocol some other remote apps use
Full 12-button control including Back and Instant Replay
List and launch channels directly from your phone
Automatically jump to search screens using your phone's search button*
Enter text on your phone and send it to the player - never use the on-screen letter picker again!
*Most channels support this on most screens. Hulu is a notable exception

2.2 - Improved auto-scan
2.1 - Added search, channel picker, and text entry
2.0 - Added auto-detect, multi-player support, optimized layouts, and more!
1.1 - Fixed a problem where some screens on the Roku player (like Netflix menus) wouldn't respond to commands.
Updated to 1.1. Now works way better with Netflix.
MAJOR update! Auto-detect, better screen support, and more! If you thought it sucked before, it's worth another look because I sucked out all the suck.
Updated again. Now you can pick channels, search, and enter text directly from your phone!
Updated to 2.2. This adds a few UI tweaks and methods to deal with some unreproducible force closes on startup I'm seeing in around 1% of my users. If you get one, please report it with as much information as possible!
Updated to 2.3. Finally added a custom layout and graphics, so now it's not quite as ugly.
Very cool app.
Would you consider releasing open source so others could port it to Windows Phone, etc.?

Windows Phone is in a totally different language (C# I think) - there's nothing you could really port and the Roku control protocol is documented on their website.
Quite useful, thankss!
what's the difference between the free version and the pro version?
Would it even be possible to get this working with the games?
Love this app, thanks for your hard work. Better than the paid ones imo.

Roku WiFi FC on Toshiba Thrive
Ethan-
Thanks for a great program! I use it all the time, since the remote is persistently lost at my house.
I just fired version version 2.10 (as reported by Titanium Backup) up on my Toshiba Thrive (HC 3.2), which was hardware locked (with a switch) in landscape mode, and got an Force Close each time. Suspecting the rotation to be the issue, I unlocked rotation, and started Roku WiFi in portrait mode. Voila! It worked correctly. (I did a similar test on my Droid Bionic GB 2.3.4 - no problem.) With the app still running, I then unlocked the tablet, rotated the tablet to landscape, locked it, and checked again. Strangely enough, no FC when switching back and forth between another app and Roku Wifi. (Roku WiFi always came up in portrait.) However, if I actually exit the app and restart, FC comes back.
As a separate issue, please note that the auto-find feature doesn't work on my network (on neither the Thrive nor the Bionic). I have 4 Roku units, which Fing sees just fine in network discovery, and identifies by the MAC address. Manually connecting to the Roku units by IP address works perfectly.
If you are interested in suggestions, some way of accommodating multiple Roku units would be handy. At the very least, please consider pre-populating the manual connect IP address dialog with the current address so it's easier to change (rather than having to re-edit it each time).
Let me know if you'd like more debugging information to help find this problem.
Best regards,
-Jim

[Question] - Android screen video capture?
Done anyone know of any suitable way to capture video of running app on android device?
I've tried several
Capture apps (none reliable though, one said it was taking view, but did not store it, another was unable to start the service). BTW on a rooted dev.
Moto webtop (this really sucks @ 5fps)!!
Thinking about getting a phone grip, putting camcorder on stand over my shoulder and do the job. But what about screen glare from the phone? Anyone had any experience with these?
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.roundere
does it support coupons in asia ?
@ aquaphx if you're interested we can certainly do it.
Tell you the truth we have the basic framework, just a few more lines of code and some testing would get it there.
would you be interested?
I've tried screencast http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/, must say its impressive effort and in the right direction. Easy to use and developer clearly sets expectations.
For my purpose i need higher FPS, hence I'm headed out to walmart to get a phone grip and will use my old camcorder, not sure if outcome will be as impressive, but another hour of trial & error, will post results as once I'm done.
Check out the demo video @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oF0Sv8GI7Lg
First shot @ it, but turned it ok,
Equipments used
- video camera
- tripod
- white gift box turned
- kiddie table
- tape
Change display settings on the phone to never timeout and set display brightness to manual (max it out).
point the camcorder straight down, tape the back of the phone to gift box, tape the gift box to a kiddie table. Point and focus your camera down to the phone. Found manual focus helps, since screen display changes can trigger auto focus. And make sue to use 'one finger' -- haha.
Time spent 1 hour and 30 minutes to everything, including adding Music track (credits in youtube video). Could improve with more editing and some additional lights.

We know how exactly that can be - from my location see only 5-6 PoI's total, I have to pan the map quite a bit to get interesting stuff.
BTW what kind of PoI would you be interested in? Name of any local stuff would help us get that data.
Updated from 1.0.4 to 1.5. I have been putting it off because the last version were working fine. Well, I got to say 1.5.0 is awesome. I am still running Samsung galaxy 1 with 2.1 and the performance of panning the map is much smoother now. I got to love the coupon tags sticking out of Target and Best Buy. Now more reasons for me to buy gadgets I might not ever need . Good job guys !
db
@db thks. would recommend turning on auto updates on the app. please do rate us as well.
R u able to see more data?
Yes, I see there are a lot of local restaurants added in my area which is great. I love the fact that now when I click on an unknown place, your app automatically do a quick search on the web and display review information. No more having to exit the app and text up on google search. Love it.
I am going out of town this weekend, so i will be using this a lot.

F8, Beta crashed on me last night. emailed you the log. Went back to 1.5 release.
Carlos,
Looking at the stack now. Do you remember which area of the map you were in when this happened? This can't happen unless our data is bad or during downloading the data got corrupted.
F8
quick update on data
* Added more pubs and bars
* even more night life spots
* some regional chains
If you can't see new categories, you may have to clear your data cache .
Updated with 1.5.1 : minor bug fixes.
If you have 4.0 phone there is
an outstanding issue on Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.x phones http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=19857 is really Android framework issue.

I did a complete uninstall of 1.5 official first then put in the beta, now it is working. So I am thinking upgrading to the beta directly isn't working. I will let you know if I run into other problem while testing this beta out.

Review of AGPtek (ColorCross) Google "Cardboard" VR Headset

Hey guys, this is my first review on this forum so go easy on me. I spent some time researching this before my purchase and now playing with the headset, so I figured I'd save you guys some work if you decide you want to try out one of these.
I picked up this AGPtek (Actually a rebranded ColorCross model) from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O1WJ1D0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can get the ColorCross cheaper on other sites shipped from overseas, but I had a giftcard from Amazon and decided to get it quicker that way. (Make sure you find the one marked to fit 6 and 7 inch phones)
Here's a few pics (It has my Note 3 in it for the pics, but the Note 4 fits exactly the same):

My opinion on the product:
Cons:
Very uncomfortable for prolonged use. If you sit back in a recliner and let it sort of rest on your face it's not so bad, but when you're upright it hurts your nose after a while
Some light pollution around the corners and edges where it holds the phone
There is no magnet button like the normal google cardboard products include. I am going to head to Home Depot to pick up a couple of magnets to try to reproduce this feature, I'll update the review if this is successful. This button is what allows you to control things on the phone while wearing the headset
Pros:
Lense width is adjustable
The lenses screw in and out, allowing you to adjust the focus to suit your vision
Seems to provide a good view of the entirety of the phone screen
The Note 4 fits in it fine. It's a bit difficult to slide in and out, and I can't get it to fit when it's got the Spigen Case on it.
My family and I have had a lot of fun with this thing so far. There are several free apps with short demos. We enjoy:
Roller Coaster VR: A virtual roller coaster through a jungle
Crazy Swing VR: An insane carnival swing in the middle of a city that swings you up and down and upside down. Hang on to something if you do this standing up!
VR Cinema: A video player that makes it seem like you're sitting in a theater with a huge imax screen playing videos from your phone memory. All of the controls are based on your head movement (pause/play/fast forward/movie selection)
YouTube - Search for 3d SBS videos and there's plenty to watch
BSPlayer - It won't convert regular movies to the proper format like VR Cinema will, but if you have 3D SBS BluRay files on your phone or network it streams them beautifully in 3d
This thing is honestly pretty cool and will be more fun as more apps are created for it. I suspect that I have only scratched the surface.
I watched about half of Prometheus on it in 3D last night and it was a very fun experience. I will say that the picture is somewhat square and stretched vertically since it is using half of the screen for each eye, but you still get the full 3d effect and it really does feel like you're sitting in an IMAX. I'm sure the gorgeous screen of the Note 4 improves the experience substantially over other phone models.
I'm going to attempt to add the magnet feature as well as improve the padding to make it more comfortable for prolonged use. Other than that, this thing is a blast. Obviously it's not going to match up to the Samsung Gear VR, but that's not really in my budget right now.
Hope this is helpful for someone, thanks for reading!
Steve
Hi Steve, nice review.
I have a color cross too and it is pretty cool, however I agree that it doesn't fit my nose very well either!
Have you tried using Trinus Gyre? It is an Android app that you can use to play games like you would with Oculus Rift. It works really well - definitely work giving it a go
How abour using a wireless mouse instead to controll things on screen? I know other apps uses the gyro sensors of the phone to point and click on items on screen, right? I am still waiting for mine to arrive and really excited. I have downloaded couple of VR apps already including those that are maid for VR ONE and GOOGLE CARDBOARD.

Yes, some of the apps do let you look at things to select them. I don't have a bluetooth mouse, I do have a bluetooth Moga controller and haven't tried it yet.
I bought a version from Amazon branded as Teefan that includes the magnet. Colorcross has one too and I think the only difference is the brand name. I prefer movies on this generic VR set over my Gear VR Note 4. The view is not as close, so a LOT less screen door effect and I see the entire movie image without having to look left and right as well. Cmoar Cinema 4.0 has barrel and FOV adjustments that help make the picture better overall and help fit the display more.

[REVIEW] Review of the Zidoo X1 Android TV Box, a Singaporean's perspective

MY LOVE FOR ANYTHING ANDROID!
I have been using the Android OS for 5 years now. Back then, I made a switch to the HTC Hero (v1.5, Cupcake) from a Sony Walkman non-smartphone because I wanted to get out of the auto-restart problem that I was facing back then. I have never looked back since then, because of the seemingly limitless potential that the Android OS has due to the developers – the custom roms, Xposed modules, great apps. I've personally used Sony, LG, Samsung phones powered by Android, iPad powered by the iOS, Nokia phones powered by Windows over the past 5 years. Every OS has their own sweet spots. I'm also into the development of China phones such as Xiaomi, OPPO, MEIZU and Lenovo, mostly with reviews and posts from gizchina.com
MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH AN ANDROID TV BOX
In Nov 2013, I purchased from Geekbuying, out of curiosity of what an Android TV box can do, a Tronsmart MK908II RK3188. The idea of having an Android TV box sounds like a cool idea. I could connect portable drives to watch videos, share crystal clear photographs with relatives, get connected to YouTube, monitor the stock market on a BIG SCREEN. However, I didn’t have a good experience with using the Tronsmart TV Box, not due to its processing speed or design, but because it didn’t have a good connection to the WIFI from the room where the box was supposed to be used at. I didn't bother getting a WIFI extender as I wanted to keep things simple. In the end, I gave it away to a relative of mine for better use.
SHOULD YOU BUY AN ANDROID TV BOX?
Smart TVs are common in most households. Major brands like LG, Samsung and Sony have USB ports inbuilt in TVs, support most common video file formats and subtitles and have Internet browsers, YouTube, . Recently, Sony has introduced their new line of Android TV too. So, why would one buy an Android TV box?
In my opinion, one should buy an Android TV box only if:
1. His/her television set is outdated, old and has no smart capabilities
This is up for debate though. Everyone has different uses for the same thing
REVIEW OF THE ZIDOO X1 ANDROID TV BOX
I would like to thank GeekBuying for the chance to review the ZIDOO X1, an Android TV box from Shenzhen, China.

The TV box has a plastic-y feel. It doesn't feel premium, as expected of a product at that price level. But with a silver top, it can easily assimilate into any modern home.

The controller's buttons are a bit hard to press. But other than that, I really like the APP SHORTCUT buttons indicated by the red, blue green colors on it. Other useful buttons
'Display' which can change the frequency and resolution (50Hz, 60Hz, 1080p, 720p)
'Recent App' to access other opened apps
'Back' button that I used really frequently throughout the tryout
'Menu' button that can access menus in most apps
The lack of an inbuilt air mouse makes it hard to navigate the screens.
The HDMI cable is about 2m long, good enough for most set-ups!

4 Zidoo RC App
An alternative to the controller provided is the Zidoo RC app. Install the app into an Android phone and be amazed at the choices available for use with the Zidoo X1.
(Screenshots from my LG G3 smartphone, connected to the Zidoo X1 by WIFI)
If you have ever used an Android TV box without a proper keyboard or mouse, you would have understood how painful it is to navigate the screen and type words. Well, with this Zidoo RC app, things become more manageable. There are number pads to enter numbers, a 'Send Text' feature (located at the top right of the app) which allows you to send words like, for example,"Girls Generation", to a YouTube app without clicking each character one by one from the onscreen keyboard. There is also a mouse function, which is buggy. It is not responsive sometimes and the cursor moves too fast when it does move, which render it less useful than intended.

Homescreen -- Simple with minimal informaton. An alternative is the Nova Launcher which will make the homescreen similar to the layout of an Android smartphone.

KODI -- Play or stream music, video and photographs with this app. KODI is also available for use in tablets and smartphones and it works, in my opinion, more intuitively than in an Android TV box, mainly due to the lack of a touchscreen function. The second image is a screenshot of my attempt to use an LG G3 streamed (via UPnP) to the Zidoo X1. It took quite a while before the music started playing. Due to its slow streaming speed, I wouldn't recommend any layman to use it. There could be a workaround to improve the speed.

Weather app -- Design isn't great, but works as intended. Notice that the word 'Thunderstorm' and its 's' are separated into 2 lines.

6 Final Thoughts
If you have a Smart TV purchased within the past 4 or 5 years, there are probably few reasons why you should get an Android TV box.
If you do not fall into the above category, the Zidoo X1 will serve as a good upgrade to your current TV.
Get the Zidoo X1 at Geekbuying for US$59.99! (caa 21/7/2015)

Setup & Gameplay Video for Mantis Pro is out. Go watch
Very nice project thank you!
I have a new Razer Kishi controller, connecting my Xiaomi mi 8 via USB-C port.
The Mantis app recognizes the controller, recognizes the input via calibration and I'm connected to the activatebuddywifi.
However, playing a game Genshin Impact and Monster Hunter, the games don't recognize the controller anymore. I've mapped the screen, but can't get it to work.
Any help? Thanks!
I've also been having the problem where after I've mapped the buttons they stopped working. They worked when I initially set them up but not anymore. Also, while they were working, I noticed I couldn't press more than two controls. in Genshin Impact, if I try to move with L-Stick, look with R-Stick and dash with RB, it's like they all cancel out and the player stops moving. Anyone else with this issue?

Hey, since you're using a Xiaomi device, have you made sure you've enabled "Security Settings" in Developer Options? It's crucial that you enable this setting.

Looks like there's some form of aggressive battery saving mechanism at play on your device. Have you tried Restarting your Device and trying again? It might solve the first issue.
Which Controller are you using? Thanks.
