I have been waiting for this update for the AT&T S3 for while. It was made available for download and install this morning in NYC. S3 updated to build R765AUCU2BQD4 from build R765AUCU1APJ. Tizzen updated to version 2.3.2.3 from 2.3.2.0. See attachment for update details.
Yes!!! Finally
Thanks for the info, updating now! I connect via IOS so will be interested to see any improvements.
Got my updated this morning too.
Doesn't look like they fixed the issue with Text Message notifications

Battery Draining quickly since update
Anyone else experiencing any faster battery drainage after the update. I could go two days before this update between charges and now mine is dying within 6-8 hours off the charger. No new apps/settings since update. Same amount of usage
No changes for me.. still 2 to 3 days w/out charging...

That is the version I currently have and that update was released a while back. Tizen version is 2.3.2.2 while the latest one is 2.3.2.3
The one issue I've seen since the update is that if my S3 disconnects from my phone then reconnect, Wi-Fi does not turn off automatically as it should. This also contributes to increased battery drain. I set it to off rather than auto in the meantime

It's not the April patch and we already had March's with Nougat. Hopefully some bug fixes and performance improvements. My battery has been a lot worse since Nougat
I notice a slight performance increase. Battery life definitely improved.

I didn't see an update from you about this, but I wanted to weigh in. I saw this thread and your issue. I installed the update myself and it seemed to stay on the Sprint LTE screen for way too long. I actually had time to stare at it, worry, then pull up this thread, reread your issue, read the reply about recovering, and reread the solution! Then the screen dimmed and after I stared it down some more, it loaded the system stating the update was successful. Not sure if this was your issue, but maybe? For those that may run into this, I guess be patient!

To fix the issue, I had to perform a clean Odin flash then update. I'm guessing the conflict was related to me previously being on the beta versions of Nougat.

Samsung's security updates are a month behind, it was basically the march security update now that it's just about April.

I had same issue before this update. Phone was stuck on beta version and said I was on the latest version when checking OTA. Smartswitch is complete garbage. Not only do you have to mess around with old C++ redistributable just to get the latest Smartswitch to run, once you do get it running the auto-prompt to revert back to stock no longer worked and the manual recover feature also didn't work as it said I had an invalid serial number even know I didn't. Not only did it not work, apparently the serial it wants is on the box only so if you don't have the box your SOL. I had the box and it still didn't work. Total lousy tool and worthless.
I ended up having to flash the official build with ODIN doing a clean flash. Once I did that, everything was great. Issues went away (battery drain, lag, getting hot, etc) Now this latest update popped up like normal. Update didn't take long to install, all good.
So those that were on beta at some point, use ODIN to flash official build. I already have a GS8+ on order and moving to big red after 15+ years with Sprint. Sprint is taking away subsidy on top of I can't take the network anymore it's total crap. That is a story for another day.
Well if anyone cares, the update includes the checks against hiding GPS mock apps from system. No more hiding. No more Pokemon Spoofing, if you're into that.

I have the same issue. Updated late Sunday evening and never got past the LET screen. I left it on over night plugged in and still at the LTE screen in the morning. Went to Samsung Experience Center in Best Buy and they re-flashed and all was well with no data loss.
I was prompted for the update again this morning, ran it and again looking at the damn LTE screen as I type this. The Samsung folks are off until Thursday so trying to figure this out. The SmartSwitch app does not recognize the phone.
Will look at Odin and appreciate any tips you, or anyone, has.

Voice to text is still working on my end using Frontier and Galaxy S7.
After this update my battery drained like crazy. It was dead before I got home today from work and im pretty sure I had about 70 percent yesterday and I also turn it off when i'm not using it.
My batteries seems about the same as it was before the update. I know that after one of the previous updates my battery was just terrible for a little while, and then straightened out on its own for some reason.

After they received short time ago BQG4...
This has something to do with active CSC...
In theory you could also update... in alternate ways...

Same here. **** samsung
Factory reset fixed battery issues that appeared a few days after the update - was going down to 15% in one day. Today, at 78% after 14 hours. Back to normal.
I got an update today in the morning that was like 7mb that fixed some sort of notification for 3rd party apps...or something like that I cant remember. But today my battery died before work was over and I'm pretty sure I was above 50% before I turned it off yesterday. I was getting more than 5% drain per hour. So what can I do?

Samsung devices "select" Firmware by Sales Code/active CSC...
So not every Sales Code/CSC receive Firmware...
BQG4 and BQH1 are only for US CSC available:
Code:

Reading/detect active Sales Code is not easy... but not impossible.
Example here:
This should work with SDB without ROOT...
Code:
sh-3.2$ vconftool get -t string db/csc/salescode
[B]db/csc/salescode, value = DBT (string)[/B]
DBT is my German Sales Code...
Code:
sh-3.2$ vconftool get -t string db/csc/bincode
[B]db/csc/bincode, value = OXA (string)[/B]
All easy Codes are disabled and I know NO Tizen app from Store... which easy display Sales Code...
Only as info.

Code:

No idea if more countries... and when...

So I just got my shiny new bluetooth Gear S3 Frontier for Christmas and im loving it. And I can see that the tizen 3.0 update is available for download through the Gear app but there seems to be some battery drain issues related to this update. So, does the update that I see in my Gear app also include the battery drain fix that has started to roll out or is it still the original Tizen 3.0 update? Btw I am located in the U.S. if that helps.

I just got a Classic for Christmas, so my experience is also limited. I updated it right out of the box. However, after two days of heavy use getting all the aid set up and such, I used it more normally today and still had 50% battery. That's still pretty great imo since I just put it on my charger every night. It's a significant improvement over my last watch, the LG Urbane running Android Wear.

They first released a fix for the old Tizen 3 and pulled the full update. If you're on Tizen 2 now and see an update for Tizen 3, it should be for a fixed version and not the old battery killer version.

I'm going with something I read from Samsung about them pulling the bad Tizen 3 download. I can't guarantee that though. If you can get it and it isn't the fixed one, then the fix should be available for you shortly. The fixed download would be the same as the original Tizen 3 plus the small fix.

OTA updates are usually released in batches.
Just keep trying and it will pop up soon.
Mine showed up last night, near midnight. So far it seems very little different, I'm using NOVA Launcher and a couple of icons are changed, don't see much else.
I'll rate it as "mostly harmless."
