Hi folks,
I just bought an International version of S8+ with dual sim slots (Model SM-G955FD). It came to me with a ROM from Taiwan region, but I'm using it in the US. Now I'm having trouble using Samsung pay. Originally it connected to the Play Store for Taiwan to download the application so it only supported banks in Taiwan. Then I switched the Play Store to US region but when Samsung pay updated itself it still kept downloading the Taiwan version of the app.
I tried searching Samsung Pay Framework and Samsung Pay app online. Installation was successful, but it requires a Korean sim card to be inserted in order to run the app... I definitely don't have that.
Odin wasn't happy to let me flash the AT&T ROM on my device so I couldn't extract a US version of Samsung Pay myself.
Can anyone who has a working US version Samsung Pay for S8+ extract the framework and app and upload here on the forum? I'll really appreciate it!
That would require root I believe which we don't have

Well it really depends on what version your samsung pay framework is. From other similar discussions I concluded that - No matter which region your cell phone (and the Android) is from, as long as you install a Korean framework it'll ask for a Korean sim card. As long as you install a Taiwanese framework it'll only support banks in Taiwan.
So now what I need is just the US region framework (and I see other people asking for it as well). Would you mind extracting your samsung pay framework from your cell phone if possible?

you will need the latest t mobile usa firmware for this to work
Planning to try converting GS7 G930FD-Dual SIM to G930F-Single SIM by simply flashing the firmware of G930F.
FYI both are EXYNOS Version
Maybe flashing the right firmware will get the trick working. Will there be any issues with flashing except losing Dual SIM?
Will be good to know in which country is the G930F official sold so as to flash the appropriate firmware from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G930F/
PS: Bought the Duos version because my country only sells it.
Thanks
I would say keep the Duos version. I'd to buy the duos as my country also sells only that version (yes there are other places to get but without warranty) and the best part for me was no bloatware. None at all.
Things that came pre-installed was general google stuff, MS word/excel/onedrive etc, facebook/whatsapp/intagram and the Samsung's own stuff.

The Global version single sim Exynos(G930F) also comes with minimal bloat.
So flashing its Firmware wont bring much bloats

I live in Sydney and have a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos, model no. SM-930FD, shipped from Hong Kong. Android 6.0.1, baseband version G930FXXU1APB6.
My previous unlocked S6, purchased in Australia, happily supported the Tap and Pay feature in the Westpac Bank app, which is enabled by Samsung Pay.
Unfortunately Westpac Tap and Pay is not supported on the SM-930FD model, as apparently Westpac limits the feature to certain firmware versions.
Am keen to figure out if I can update the firmware version to the same as the single SIM, SM-930FD model sold in Australia, which the Westpac mobile app does support?
Will that firmware version support dual SIM?
Have been doing the research.
I'm thinking to flash the phone with SM-G930F XSA firmware
I guess I might lose the Dual SIM feature, but that's ok.
Any comments gratefully received..
let me know how this works out... the only thing I am waiting for to buy my 935F is samsung pay... I refuse to use the USA carrier versions
The problem is how we flash the rom without triping KNOX? Will the Exynos SOC work flawlessly with a firmware used on the Snapdragon SO?

Can you use the drivers for an AMD chipset to run the hardware on an Intel-based motherboard? Same problem, same answer.
^^ That's what I was implying
Even I wish if this was available to my country but alas not even google pay/wallet nor any other similar app is working.
I downloaded the apk manually and tried to run it but would not go beyond the fingerprint/pin recognition screen.
I got it working pass that screen but only with a pin. I can't add any cards tho, it wont connect to the server

why not just flash the US unlocked version to the phone using the modded odin
I have a 950F and am using Australian firmware because Samsung works in the US. Flash with ODIN and it will not trip KNOX

Wouldn't it run into issues? The us rom is designed to run on Snapdragon, no?
