[Help] Can anyone extract US version Samsung pay framework for me? - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi folks,
I just bought an International version of S8+ with dual sim slots (Model SM-G955FD). It came to me with a ROM from Taiwan region, but I'm using it in the US. Now I'm having trouble using Samsung pay. Originally it connected to the Play Store for Taiwan to download the application so it only supported banks in Taiwan. Then I switched the Play Store to US region but when Samsung pay updated itself it still kept downloading the Taiwan version of the app.
I tried searching for Samsung Pay Framework and Samsung Pay app at APK mirror. Installation was successful, but it requires a Korean sim card to be inserted in order to run the app... I definitely don't have that.
Odin wasn't happy to let me flash the AT&T ROM on my device so I couldn't extract a US version of Samsung Pay myself.
Further I figured out it really depends on what version your samsung pay framework is, and it will automatically download the app for the correct region. So can anyone who has a working US version Samsung Pay framework for S8+ extract the framework and app and upload here on the forum? I'll really appreciate it!

why not just flash the US unlocked version to the phone using the modded odin

I have a 950F and am using Australian firmware because Samsung works in the US. Flash with ODIN and it will not trip KNOX

Download the firmware u want or need.. use winrar or 7zip to extract, u can remove the .md5 or leave the file alone and when asked.. use open with and search for program folder for winrar or 7zip.

Wouldn't it run into issues? The us rom is designed to run on Snapdragon, no?

G930F users, Which country?

Planning to try converting GS7 G930FD-Dual SIM to G930F-Single SIM by simply flashing the firmware of G930F.
FYI both are EXYNOS Version
Maybe flashing the right firmware will get the trick working. Will there be any issues with flashing except losing Dual SIM?
Will be good to know in which country is the G930F official sold so as to flash the appropriate firmware from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G930F/
PS: Bought the Duos version because my country only sells it.
Thanks
I would say keep the Duos version. I'd to buy the duos as my country also sells only that version (yes there are other places to get but without warranty) and the best part for me was no bloatware. None at all.
Things that came pre-installed was general google stuff, MS word/excel/onedrive etc, facebook/whatsapp/intagram and the Samsung's own stuff.

Getting a T-Mobile S7 & flashing or converting to US/stock firmware (SM-G930U)?

I'm thinking of getting an Galaxy S7 (T-Mobile version, SM-G930T) for my wife to replace her Nexus 4 which is on T-Mobile prepaid but my concern is "carrier bloat" that T-Mobile installed on the phone.
1. Is it possible to convert this phone to the regular US/stock version of the S7 which i believe is SM-G930UZKAXAA, I believe? I did some Googling and I see some discussions about "Odin" which I assume is the software to flash/convert the SM-G930T to the SM-G930U version?
2. Will Samsung Pay still work after converting it from the T-Mobile version to the US/stock version?
3. Any issues/disadvantages/problems to be aware of between the T-Mobile specific and non T-Mobile firmware to consider, in consideration of whether or not to convert?
Thanks, David
G930U and G935U firmware is maded for any US version that IS ALREADY UNLOCKED and want to convert it so you can remove all bloat preinstalled apps from the carrier and use the phone like it was G935F or G930F..
1- you can flash the U firmware on any US varaint Sprint, T-Mobile, ATT, but will REQUIRED a unlocked cell, and the bootloader had to be low or same as the U you want to flash.
2- will work, i already test it.
3- none, the U firmware is official from samsung and is created for that.. to be flashable on S7 unlocked for take it for overseas.
PS: its the same as g930F so mobile data icon will be enable, wifi call will not be there... and you can use bluetooh sharing.. etc.. but t-mobile features will be removed, if you have more experience you can enable them back.

I use a stock US galaxy s7 from T-Mobile, SM-G930T. From what I can tell it shouldn't cause any problems as it's not a custom Rom but stock firmware you can download directly from Samsung website.
I did some searching and found a few posts about sm-g930u extending battery life over sm-g930t with tmobile bloatware (can't say for certain as I've not tried myself).
In all it shouldn't harm functionally since it's stock firmware.
Hope this helps.

I extensively tested the U firmware before moving to T firmware (because I moved to the T-M side of Tracfone; the phone itself is ex-VZW); I have had exactly zero issues (with either U firmware or T firmware).
A tidbit; as a SM-G930T, you have access to both VoLTE *and* wi-fi calling - this was not the case for even VZW-native customers, let alone MVNO customers. (This has, in fact, been covered in the Verizon Wireless thread for the same phone.) It does not matter if you are merely using an MVNO (such as Tracfone). NO free Netflix, though. (Mice.)

[Help] Can anyone extract US version Samsung pay for me?

Hi folks,
I just bought an International version of S8+ with dual sim slots (Model SM-G955FD).
I tried searching Samsung Pay Framework and Samsung Pay app online. Installation was successful, but it requires a Korean sim card to be inserted in order to run the app... I definitely don't have that.
Odin wasn't happy to let me flash the AT&T ROM on my device so I couldn't extract a US version of Samsung Pay myself.
Can anyone who has a working US version Samsung Pay for S8+ extract the framework and app and upload here on the forum? I'll really appreciate it!
That would require root I believe which we don't have

Sims like you have to have US version of software in your phone in order to work. I have exactly same samsung pay in my phone and samsung pay is US version.
On Edge of Galaxy

Well it really depends on what version your samsung pay framework is. From other similar discussions I concluded that - No matter which region your cell phone (and the Android) is from, as long as you install a Korean framework it'll ask for a Korean sim card. As long as you install a Taiwanese framework it'll only support banks in Taiwan.
So now what I need is just the US region framework (and I see other people asking for it as well). Would you mind extracting your samsung pay framework from your cell phone if possible?

Flashing back to Samsung firmware SM-G920F vs G920I

Hi all, I recently installed Lineage OS on my S6 however there are a few too many bugs for my liking, mainly enormous camera lag and lack of ANT+ functionality which I desperately need to pair fitness devices. I've tried the ANT+ enabler from Google Play but this didn't work, nor did the commonly touted ANT+ APK file that seems to be sent around.
In 'about phone' mine is apparently a SM-G920F (Telstra, Australia). However the back of the phone states it is a G920I. I've been to Sammobile but no firmware exists for the G920F. Am I ok to install the G920I from Sammobile do you think?
No firmware exists for G920F? This is what, then?
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s6/SM-G920F/
Thanks for the reply.
Sorry should have mentioned, none for Australia. Am I ok to install any of them, or will they include the relevant carrier's bloatware when I install?
If I can install any of them, which would be best to install?

Ahh, now it makes sense. I usually try to install the latest version available. About carrier bloat, you have to install the 'unlocked' variants. Take a look here: https://www.imei.info/download-firmware/samsung/samsung-g920f-galaxy-s6/SM-G920F/. Sort the list by carrier. The ones that says 'OPEN' are unlocked variants, and doesn't include any bloatware. Just pick one
Thanks heaps for that. Seeing as Australia isn't on the list, am I ok to install the G920F firmware instead of the G920I (seeing as it says "G920I" in my phone but "G920F" on the back), or should I stick with the latest open G920I firmware from that list?

If I got you correctly, yes, as far as I can tell its OK to install G920F firmware instead of G920I. In fact the 2 models are the same, only sold in different places (and maybe they have different carrier-band support).
