Samsung S7 model SM-930FD - how to enable Samsung Pay / Westpac Tap and Pay Australia - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I live in Sydney and have a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos, model no. SM-930FD, shipped from Hong Kong. Android 6.0.1, baseband version G930FXXU1APB6.
My previous unlocked S6, purchased in Australia, happily supported the Tap and Pay feature in the Westpac Bank app, which is enabled by Samsung Pay.
Unfortunately Westpac Tap and Pay is not supported on the SM-930FD model, as apparently Westpac limits the feature to certain firmware versions.
Am keen to figure out if I can update the firmware version to the same as the single SIM, SM-930FD model sold in Australia, which the Westpac mobile app does support?
Will that firmware version support dual SIM?

Have been doing the research.
I'm thinking to flash the phone with SM-G930F XSA firmware
I guess I might lose the Dual SIM feature, but that's ok.
Any comments gratefully received..

let me know how this works out... the only thing I am waiting for to buy my 935F is samsung pay... I refuse to use the USA carrier versions

The problem is how we flash the rom without triping KNOX? Will the Exynos SOC work flawlessly with a firmware used on the Snapdragon SO?

Can you use the drivers for an AMD chipset to run the hardware on an Intel-based motherboard? Same problem, same answer.

^^ That's what I was implying

Even I wish if this was available to my country but alas not even google pay/wallet nor any other similar app is working.
I downloaded the apk manually and tried to run it but would not go beyond the fingerprint/pin recognition screen.

I got it working pass that screen but only with a pin. I can't add any cards tho, it wont connect to the server

[Help] Can anyone extract US version Samsung pay for me?

Hi folks,
I just bought an International version of S8+ with dual sim slots (Model SM-G955FD). It came to me with a ROM from Taiwan region, but I'm using it in the US. Now I'm having trouble using Samsung pay. Originally it connected to the Play Store for Taiwan to download the application so it only supported banks in Taiwan. Then I switched the Play Store to US region but when Samsung pay updated itself it still kept downloading the Taiwan version of the app.
I tried searching Samsung Pay Framework and Samsung Pay app online. Installation was successful, but it requires a Korean sim card to be inserted in order to run the app... I definitely don't have that.
Odin wasn't happy to let me flash the AT&T ROM on my device so I couldn't extract a US version of Samsung Pay myself.
Can anyone who has a working US version Samsung Pay for S8+ extract the framework and app and upload here on the forum? I'll really appreciate it!
That would require root I believe which we don't have

Sims like you have to have US version of software in your phone in order to work. I have exactly same samsung pay in my phone and samsung pay is US version.

Well it really depends on what version your samsung pay framework is. From other similar discussions I concluded that - No matter which region your cell phone (and the Android) is from, as long as you install a Korean framework it'll ask for a Korean sim card. As long as you install a Taiwanese framework it'll only support banks in Taiwan.
So now what I need is just the US region framework (and I see other people asking for it as well). Would you mind extracting your samsung pay framework from your cell phone if possible?

Some advice/question on flashing S8 rom to get samsung pay/bixby to work on SM-G950F

I bought an unlock Samsung S8 on amazon. Looks like they sent me a TIM carrier branded S8 from Italy. I'm using it in the USA under AT&T carrier. So far everything work fine except for Samsung Pay, VOLTE, WifiCalling, and Bixby. I want at least Samsung Pay and WifiCalling to work. I see there is a guide to flash firmware to other carrier (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/snap-guide-flashing-standard-fw-carrier-t3625817) but this seems to be for SM-G950U which uses a different CPU than my SM-G950F (Exynos). So my question is this
1) I probably cant use that guide because of the different CPU correct?
2) What are my options besides rooting.
3) Can I flash to some unlock firmware for SM-G950F that support Samsung Pay in the USA?
4) Will flashing to this firmware cause issue in the future. More specifically when there is a OTA software update, it will update and brick the phone?

SM-G9550 - Flash G955U1 or other firmware to device (stock)? Samsung Pay?

I've just received the SM-G9550 (6gb/128gb dual sim), which appears is the HK variant (when I clicked to enable Samsung Pay, it prompted to download Samsung Pay HK, I immediately canceled).
Based on some preliminary searching, apparently this model uses Snapdragon (same chipset as US models it seems), and as a result, someone suggested that the device may be compatible with SM-G955U1 firmware.
Is anyone aware whether it is indeed possible to flash stock SM-G955U1 to the device successfully?
Will Samsung Pay then correctly install as the US-variation of Samsung Pay?
Are there any gotchas I should be aware of?
Thanks!
Boy, you'd think someone would know the straight answer.
I have a 955F, converted to Note 8 via CarHD ROM v9, and I believe Samsung pay works on it.

Galaxy s8+ japanese

which variant do i use for galaxy s8 from japan? Sm-G955J / SVC35
Please
variant of what? you looking to stay w/Japanese or go to another region/country?
I just want to use an operator-free rom stock, but I can still use it in Japan
Thanks for help!
What's Japan use for cell svc, GSM? Exynos phone? If so pretty much any custom Exynos ROM, with the version appropriate CSC ought to work just fine.
Maybe it's out of topic, but kinda similar with my question, and the last reply is still quite recent.
I just got a used s8+ g9550 (TGY/Hongkong). I looked at Phone Info app, it comes with Hongkong PDA & CSC (G9550ZHU1AQG6), and US version of BL & CP (G955USQU1AQGL). Still on Nougat 7.0.
It works just fine here in Indonesia. But I'm afraid it won't be getting any OTA updates since I'm not living in China. Is it actually OK to mix up the firmware (AP, CSC,BL,PDA) like that? What versions are compatible with my device?
I'm totally new here. I don't even know why there're 4 firmwares for each device, and what each one of them is for. All I know CP = Modem/Baseband, BL = Bootloader. Mind to explain it to me? Thanks

I beleive your phone is a snapdragon processor not exynos - if it is chinese, I think there may be a way to unlock the bootloader but I am not 100% sure of that. I know that the S7 Chinese was able to be unlocked but there was a special ap you had to install in order to do it.
I know I haven't helped much but I wish you good luck...

I'm looking to go US, T-Mobile to be specific. What do you suggest?

Scammed... can I fix this S7?

Purchased a S7 advertised as a NiB 930A. Showed up flashed with 930F but the markings on back of phone were 930A. I know in most other threads, folks recommend it be sent back to seller, but he has offered a partial refund to make it right.
My main concern is security. I don’t know who installed what on this device. Would reflashing it be a reliable method to get this device back to stock and ensure it is secure?
Any other recommendations? I would like to keep it if possible and maybe flash it to 930U.

Install "android phone info" from playstore or "cpu-z" and identify which cpu the device has, you will then know what you can and cannot do with your phone.
G930F=Europe
G930A= USA AT&T
G930U= USA (Exynos) Unbranded
CPU Exynos = Brilliant
CPU Snapdragon =Nightmare.
It's snapdragon att

Try flashing G930U but you'll always get limited reception in a different region than the USA
Thanks for the suggestion. I already sent it back.

The G930U is snapdragon, the USA doesn't have an Exynos model
