Stop a popup that appears Every. Single. Time. I plug into my car stereo via USB? - General Questions and Answers

I have searched far and wide on the internet for a solution to this problem and no dice.
I have a 2015 Moto X Pure Experience running Android 6.0. It supports USB audio fully.
When I plug in via USB to my Kenwood car stereo it spams a message in a white box in my face that says "This device is not supported please click [VIEW] to download the Kenwood audio app".................if I simply wait 2 seconds audio plays just fine since my phone is compatible. I can even control it with the stereo buttons.
Its extremely annoying to have to click cancel on that little screen every single time.
Is there any way to stop a text box popping up from a USB device?
Thanks.

[Q] Issue with bluetooth earpiece Latest Vegan Tab flash

Getting a "Paired but not connected" issue with my bluetooth ear-piece and I've tried everything to get it to connect, even force closing wiping all the data from the bluetooth application and rebooting several times. I've only had this problem since switching from cyanogen mod to vegan tab (Love vegan tab btw) does anyone know some fixes or solutions?
Thanks in advance :3
come on :\ doesnt even one person have a suggestion?
I was able to pair my phone with the Vegan Beta 5.1 gTablet without issue...
I just bought a new headset and will try it and let you know...
Working fine for me as well but when I disconnect I have to re-boot to get audio over speakers on the GTAB
hmmm, thats really odd, maybe my headset itsself is being stupid. Thanks for the feedback guys.

I've found if you plug and unplug a regular wired headset into the headset jack, thst usually fixes the audio be muted on internal speakers.
bluetooth help
I am having the same problem. Tried 2 different headsets, netbook, and my moto droid - but everything says "paired but not connected". nothing works! please help
may be a direction for a fix; DEVs could you clarify for us
I found this in a post today by enigma0456:
More research finally revealed something. BlueGPS4droid at sourceforge not the market. So, the external gps was "paired but not connected" until there was an application (bluegps) to "connect" to. Once that was installed I turned on the bluetooth and it immediately saw the hollux remote gps receiver. Tested it with Maps and it worked beautifully. So theories:
1. If there isn't an app waiting to use the bluetooth device it will pair but not connect until something asks for it.
now I realize this has to deal with gps but as i understand all phone apks have been removed that can be and not lose functionality in order to save battery life in Vegan 5.1 so if the above quote is right then there is no app (phone.apk etc.) to ask for the use of the ear piece and thus the paired but not connected issue.
now some people have mentioned not having issue getting their BT headset to work and maybe this is because the headset offers another use in their programing like they are designed to work like headphones or something and then there would be and app to ask for them and so they connect
the ones that do not work on the other hand like mine are only designed for phone audio; ever notice that on your Droid cell that your headset will say connected to phone audio, well in our case if the phone.apk/s are not there then there is nothing asking to connect to it.
DEVs are there any ideas to get functionality back even it that means adding back the phone.apks--and is that possible to do with our re-flashing a rom like side installing it or an update.zip
Thanks

There is an app on the market, called "headset toggle widget" and that will do the trick and unmute your speakers
Possible workaround...
Don't know if this will help but, after I paired my BT headset with GTAB, I then paired it with another device (my phone) after which GTAB started giving me the paired but not connected message when I tried to connect back to the GTAB. What worked? Well, now before I select the headset device in GTAB's bluetooth device menu, I put the headset itself back into pairing mode. THEN, I select it in GTAB's bluetooth device menu and voilĂ , it connects. Downside, I have to put the headset into pairing mode everytime I want to connect it to GTAB. (Haven't bothered trying to unpair the headset with my phone yet to see if it makes a difference.) Hope it works at least as temp fix for ya.

USB Audio Streaming?

Hey,
I'm using a Lenovo Tab 3 in my car as a basis to play audio from as the standard interface of the car is terrible. I have it set up so that the tablet is plugged into the car radio USB for power, an app ensures it comes on / turns off (standby) in accordance with the power state. I like my audio quality to be as high as possible but find myself forced to use bluetooth or AUX at the moment because I cant figure out if there is a way to stream via the USB.
The car can read a song from the tablet when connected, but the navigation of files is via the car radio which is not what I'm after. Is there a way to use the USB almost as an AUX, where the music is selected via the tablet but not processed by the tablet and instead sent "pure" to the radio?
I'm getting a fair bit of distortion through the bluetooth so unfortunately it isn't really the solution here. The audio is also getting processed twice, by the tablet and the car which will reduce quality.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not against rooting, although the tablet hasn't currently been.

To my knowledge, streaming audio via USB isn't possible, I could be wrong though. You can play music from USB as if your device were a USB flash drive.
Here's some info on android USB audio.

Thanks for the reply,
I feared this may be the case. I think a DAC is going to have to be the way forward with this unfortunately!

USB C Audio out - All ok but phone calls

Hi All,
I've just received the JBL Reflect Aware C earphones, which only have a USB C connector.
I've plugged into my Mate 9 (MHA-L29C567B190), and it recognizes as 'Reverse Charging - Charge the other connected device'.
Even though the phone doesn't show any message of a headset being connected, All multimedia apps are working ok (sound & voice), such as skype, whatsapp, google play, etc.. but whenever I try making a phone call, the phone just acts as no headset was connected.
Also tried using SoundAbout, and 2 different phone dialers (Zero and TrueCaller), but so far nothing works.
Also tried the same earphones in a Samsung S8 (same problem).. and in a Xiaomi phone, which worked perfectly fine for phone calls.
I know there are already some threads about this topic, but all of them talk about DAC options, and couldn't find any talking about USB C earphones.
Has anyone tried it ?
THANKS !!!
Ricky.
Anyone ? - Thanks!!!

Question Does anyon try to install android auto on the tab?

I just simply want to connect audio to my car, but my car only takes carplay/android auto for audio input if wired, and there's no aux port. I want to use the car stereo system to watch Netflix, and Bluetooth will cause lags between video and audio.
I rooted my S7 FE, update it to android 13, downloaded the android auto app, and systemize it. But when I connect my tab to the car, AA shows the window with a button "connect". After I press "connect" nothing happens, and my car shows "Please check your phone". Does anyone have idea how to solve this? Thanks. Didn't expect it would be so hard to just connect my tab to my car...

Question My P7P just chokes on USB-C wired ear pods.

The phone (running the latest 13-beta and rooted) just can't tolerate USB-C wired ear pods. Audio drops out after a few seconds--even tho the app shows it's still 'playing'. Sometimes I have to stop the app, un-plug and re-plug the pods to get it to play in the first place. The notification area will show that wired headset is attached, but audio just won't stay on.
This morning the phone locked-up while trying to get them to work and I had to hard-reboot.
This happens with a brand-new pair that had a native USB-C connector, and an older pair I'm using with a USBC-to-miniplug adapter.
My bluetooth OnePlus pods work reliably every single time. Tried with two different audio apps, still no love.
Any thoughts?

Wow. You might be on to something! Under USB Preferences, "USB controlled by "Connected device" is selected and "Use USB for File transfer / Android Auto is selected--but greyed-out so I can't change it. Am I missing another setting or something...?
I Heard about this Problem before. But i think IT got fixed in latest stable Firmware....

Would some of you smarter people please help figure out what's going on? I/you can then file a bug report which won't result in it being closed due to their misunderstanding. The primary issue is that music stops playback when a USB-C adapter...
