So my ATT variant Note Edge decided to quit working on me unexpectedly yesterday. All had been going well and with no warning it rebooted at 80%. A bit of its history:
Phone has been my primary work and play phone for over 3 years
I switched it from ATT to Cricket several months ago and it has been working fine.
I have been using an extended battery in it for about a year because the OEM battery was rapidly draining and would shut down when reaching anywhere from 50% - 30% charge.
What it is now doing:
Rebooting continually and either freezing at the splash page and rebooting or after several reboots it will get to my homepage, but then reboot a few seconds later.
Blue blinking light by upper speaker continuously blinks despite having black screen
What I have done:
let it reboot continually and try to get into setting when it finally gets to my homepage- no luck
rebooted it to recovery mode- it states "installing system update" then freezes and reboots OR states "no command" with a fallen Andy
Attempted to access the phone through Find my Phone in Google- set it to wipe phone- didn't work.
After several attempts it was able to reboot into recovery so I factory wiped the phone(including partitions). Still continuous rebooting.
took out SD card thinking it was corrupt- no difference
Taken battery out for minutes to hours
Any other suggestions? thanks!
I have never done a firmware flash through ODIN and have no clue how.
Looks like you might want to flash official firmware with odin or use smartswitch recovery. Id go with the odin option

So I went to Sammobile and when I search for the ATT firmware it is telling me the device model is not found. what is the official ATT firmware for the US I can use?
Then use Google and search n915a firmware ... xda is the first link that comes up

So I downloaded 6.0.1 and flash through ODIN. it went through the process fine and installed, however phone continues to reboot. At one point the phone rebooted and I was able to sign in to my Samsung account. that was as far as I could get. I have tried several versions of the firmware and the same result. Continual reboot. at times I cannot even get into recovery mode.
I think my phone has finally bit the dust
Try rebooting while connected to power supply

Hey all, been running S7 for a few weeks, decided to flash the 4.1 S7 kernal from weebly site and after flashzip completed, i rebooted from red screen recovery and now it's stuck on Samsung Logo. Cant even get it to go into download mode via USB/up/down...any ideas? Odin will not recognize because of this.
Update: Well I was under the 30 day return policy, so Radio Shack took it back with "Samsung" stuck on that beautiful screen. :0)

It was the kernel. I don't think it was for the Infuse.

Reinstall drivers, you're phone isn't bricked for eternity!
driver problem - and this was caused by flashing an I9000/Captivate kernel.
S7 is available for both I9000/Captivate and Infuse - they require different kernels.
Frustrated, on my x10... :/

try using different usb cable?
Hi GUys,
flashed my note using the CWM method successfully (well..) and after it randomly reboots at different stages, sometime at samsung logo, somtimes ater its fully loaded and running, sometimes on the galaxy note load up screen.
\ive tried wiping, reset, caches, re-rooting
also tried downloading stock and installing with odin, it removes root and same thing.
tried kies, but it says no updates available, on current firmware
it never reboots when in download mode, but dos sometimes when in recovery modes if that helps?
someone please help!!
Maybe its a hardware issue... if you've tweaked around with the software and symptoms don't seem to change, then you might wanna think about sending it in for repair or replacement.

yeh i was thinking that, just hoping it wouldnt be the case
just flashing a custom rom now to see if maybe the stock i installed was corrupt
anywhere i can get previous stock roms from?
ok finally flashed stock 4.0.4 with odin and it seems stable.
Although one problem now -
There is no lockscreen and no boot options while pressing and holding the power button with addition to this while holding power button it directly switches off it slef without any prompt.
i found a thread for a 7000 with a fix but im not rooted and a bit scared to do it again so the command doesnt work in teminal

Seems like your device is in factory mode.
That often happens when your EFS partition screwd up.
Check your Imei number.

returned it for another one - turned out the power btto was faulty, hence the rebooting.

I was going to start a New Topic but a search brought me to this post.....
Okay, I have an N8010 Wifi only model.
Where exactly does it list the IMEI number of the N8010?
Next, as the Wifi only N8010 does not have a Phone App how do you insert the *# Codes as in *#272 IMEI NUMBER*
Any post talking about an IMEI for the wifi only version is wrong... IMEI's are only for devices that have a phone modem, essentially 3G model only...

And with that it's also impossible to carry out any Samsung *# Codes
GT-N8010 stuck in bootloop, can't flash
Hey guys,
Today I was playing world at arms, and all of a sudden my tablet shut down and restarted.
Since then it is in a reboot loop, and doesn't respond to anything.
I run the latest official 4.4.2, which I rooted using the CF-Root method. It worked just fine for over a week, until this morning.
I tried to reflash the stock firware (from sammobile) without any luck. I tried to reflash the CF-Root without any luck.
It fails every time. I tried several versions of Odin (1.85, 3.07, and 3.09), but all of them failed.
I tried to reboot in recovery, but it doesn't work, the android robot appears, but then it restarts in the bootloop.
It goes up to the Samsung logo, before crasking again.
Sometimes I hear the music of World at arms playing before it crashes.
It seems real stuck, and I cannot think of anything else to do...
At the moment, I leave it in the loop until the battery dies off... And then I'll try charging it a bit and restart...
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
J

anyone to help?
I tried flashing Recovery via Mobile Odin app, & now its stuck in every time I try to turn it on. I flashed philiz_touch_6.48.4-klte.zip.tar Someone please Help me to fix this Please. Can it be done from a computer? My phone's stuck saying Downloading Don't turn off!
This is what it says..
Please Help, I don't think its Hard Bricked.. Im Hoping its Fixable!
I had the same thing happen to me when I tried to flash a recovery using Mobile Odin. I am not sure what when wrong (Mobile Odin fault, or I flashed a bad recovery) but either way I was stuck exactly like you are. I recovered by downloading another recovery image and flashing from my PC using Odin. Once I did that the phone booted up normally and I did not lose anything.
I remember reading somewhere that mobile Odin has problems with recoveries. I have never used it but the guy above me us right, Odin on the pc should get you up and running.
First of all Thank you both... Secondly should I try to use a different Recovery version instead of the one I used?
That recovery is fine, just flash it with Odin on the pc and you should be good to go.

It should

I have had to pull the battery while in download mode before, so if Odin doesn't recognize it you should be able to do a battery pull and reboot into download mode.

When I did mine it was always booting to that screen (that you pictured) when I tried to boot the phone. Once there I simply fired up Odin on my PC. The phone connected to Odin as soon as I plugged in the USB. I selected and flashed a good recovery. Once I did that I was able to reboot the phone normally.
Thanks guys, I'm gonna give it a try soon as I get my computer right.
something similar happened to me. I pulled the battery out for 5 minutes. Placed back restarted snd it was fine. I know crazy! !!
Hello guys!
This is a kind of newbie question. My daughter gave me its samsung galaxy core plus g350 because it was impossible to boot. It stayed on a picture of a grey battery. I try to fix it by flashing a new rom with odin. Stupidly, I do that from a laptop with an antivirus. Flashing stopped. And now, the grey battery is changed by the infamous yellow triangle and the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue..." . I've still access to the downloading menu. Then I've tried again from another desktop PC, many different rom, full rom, versions of odin, even a thing called cwm. Each flash, Odin says it is a success, but nothing changes. I've even tried Kies.
I've only the downloading mode and it is said on the first line :
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G350
CURRENT BIN: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: custom.
My question is simple. What is the status of my phone? Hard or soft bricked? Is it a way out? For example, I've read that for hard bricked, changing the motherboard is a solution. But before that, I will be please to read your advice.
Thanks a lot for anybody who can help

I've tried again, several time. In fact the little vibration doesn't occur. Odin keeps saying me "success" and the phone sticks on its error message. What can I try in this situation?
