I tried flashing Recovery via Mobile Odin app, & now its stuck in every time I try to turn it on. I flashed philiz_touch_6.48.4-klte.zip.tar Someone please Help me to fix this Please. Can it be done from a computer? My phone's stuck saying Downloading Don't turn off!
This is what it says..
Please Help, I don't think its Hard Bricked.. Im Hoping its Fixable!
I had the same thing happen to me when I tried to flash a recovery using Mobile Odin. I am not sure what when wrong (Mobile Odin fault, or I flashed a bad recovery) but either way I was stuck exactly like you are. I recovered by downloading another recovery image and flashing from my PC using Odin. Once I did that the phone booted up normally and I did not lose anything.
I remember reading somewhere that mobile Odin has problems with recoveries. I have never used it but the guy above me us right, Odin on the pc should get you up and running.
First of all Thank you both... Secondly should I try to use a different Recovery version instead of the one I used?
That recovery is fine, just flash it with Odin on the pc and you should be good to go.

It should

When I did mine it was always booting to that screen (that you pictured) when I tried to boot the phone. Once there I simply fired up Odin on my PC. The phone connected to Odin as soon as I plugged in the USB. I selected and flashed a good recovery. Once I did that I was able to reboot the phone normally.
Thanks guys, I'm gonna give it a try soon as I get my computer right.
something similar happened to me. I pulled the battery out for 5 minutes. Placed back restarted snd it was fine. I know crazy! !!

Definately gone .. I figured the recovery.tar version of CWM would have been sufficiant .. guess not, but then again, don't know whether it was CWM or the ROM that caused this to happen !!! Will never know.
Well .. I did a Warranty Repair with AT&T, received my new Skyrocket .. but before shipping my defective one back .. I ordered a USB JIG just to be sure it really is DEAD.
Received the JIG today .. tested the JIG first to make sure it works by using it on a working Skyrocket, sure enough, Download Mode appeared.
Inserted a fully charge battery into my defective Skyrocket .. inserted JIG .. NOTHING.
So .. thats a real good one there .. the phone is COMPLETELY DEAD !!!
Shipped the DEAD one to AT&T.

Well .. thats a good thing .. if you can get into Download Mode .. flash back to stock using ODIN .. if you can get into CWM, install a different ROM.
I'm leaving my replacement one alone .. LOL .. gonna wait for ICS to come out for our Skyrockets .. thats if the fellas working on MIUI can get it running .. then I'll put that on. Loved MIUI when I had my Infuse.

wish I had a replacement lol but no joke If I cant fix this before tomorrow I'm gunna have ATT give me a micro sim to put back in my iphone 4 then just save for a galaxy nexus THEN try rooting this skyrocket but I HAVE TO have a phone for work tomorrow
With odin you dont save to the phone odin goes on your pc, and if you use dolphin browser hd you can download the roms with the phone. Get on xda with the phone i am right now. And dolphin saves what you download to the internal sd by default
Dammit Silver03WRX .. you beat me to the answer .. LOL
+1 on what he said
And when your in download mode then you connect to your pc, and use odin to flash the stock tar. Follow the instruction here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342348
The link has the usb drivers attached as well

I've never used dolphin and my phone wont go past reboot for me to use anything on my phone it can only go into CWM or Download mode but I think the problem is the tar files arent working bc on the thread I copied a guy made a video and his tar file looked different then mine and another guy in that thread said his files didnt work either and got a working one from another site but didnt metion which site
The tar file does work i have used it. Follow the instructions again. Put it in download mode connect to pc opin odin make sure re-partition is not checked. In the pda section choose thebtar file and flash it. It will flash then reboot itself. This works guarnteed. There has to be something your doing wrong. Please trust me. This works for everyone. Here is the link for the tar http://k0nane.info/rom/SGH-I727-UCKJ2-k0nane.7z you need to unzip the file with 7zip the tar is inside. Then you flash it. Redownload unzip the file put the tar on you desktop. Put phne into download mode. Connect to pc. It will say connected. Choose the tar in pda section. Makesure re-partition is not checked and flash let it complete , and reboot itself

Even if your phone is shown the "Phone---!---PC" screen .. ODIN should still recognize it being attached to your computer .. My first SGS2 Skyrocket did this in which I was able to reflash back to stock using ODIN v1.85 .. however, my first SGS2 took a real crapper for some reason .. that even the USB JIG was unable to get the phone into Download Mode.
I now have a replacement in which I'm being REAL careful with .. LOL

Morning y'all... having a similar problem... I was rooted but for some reason when in Recovery I'd only get Android Recovery??? I got CWM installed using ODIN (This is the tread I used... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340526) . Then I went and tried to install miuiscotland_I9100-2.1.13... said install was complete... went to reboot from CWN... and nothing.
I tried pulling battery, going into recovery, download mode, the jig... and nothing... doesn't even look like it's charging... no spark at all?
So I have no phone as it stands right now.
Any comments, suggestions, hints, tips, tricks?
Thx.

You are hard bricked. You flashed a i9100 rom over a i727 device.
Only advice I can give is drop it in the toilet if you have insurance on the phone and get a replacement, or call your carrier's warranty department and tell them your phone just stopped working (not particularly ethical and you could get caught if they figure out it was rooted, but worth a shot...).
Oh, and the other advice is NEVER flash roms meant for devices other than the Skyrocket. Roms meant for the original S2 will brick your phone.

No need for a jig here (though it is good to have one anyways). If you get the "firmware upgrade failed" screen, just plug the phone in and if Odin sees your phone you can flash the stock tar. The "failed" screen won't look like it's doing anything but after Odin finishes you will be back to stock and life will be good again.
I'm kind of a noob with this but my Verizon GS3 is doing a boot loop and I have no idea how to fix it! Please help!
First off, are you able to throw ADB commands to the phone? (a lot of the time when I get stuck in a boot loop I can still throw ADB commands at it), if so, throw adb reboot recovery to reboot into the recovery.
If you can't, remove the battery to turn it off, pop the battery back in, then hold Volume Up, Home, and Power to boot into the recovery.
Once in the recovery do a full wipe.
If you are flashing a ROM it's always suggested to do a full wipe before flashing the ROM.
If wiping doesn't work then restore for a previous backup (I hope you did a backup before you did whatever you did since you weren't being detailed in what you were doing at the time).

Thanks for responding! All I was doing was backing it up through ROM Manager and after the backup it went into the boot loop. When I hold the power, home, and volume down button it goes into download mode so I can't even get into the recovery. Have you heard of this before?
Try doing Volume Down, Home, and Power instead (one does download and one recovery, I can't remember which since I do everything through adb and very rarely have to do it manually).

Well the good news is I can get into recovery. The bad news is every time I try and restore it goes back into the same boot loop for a few cycles then goes back into Clockworkmod recovery. I feel like I'm getting close here...

When I do reboot system now it says "error processing ROM Manager script. Please verify that you are performing the backup, restore, or ROM installation from ROM Manager v4.4.0.0 or higher."
Why not just flash a new rom to get rid of the boot loop? Or Odin back to stock n root all over again?

can you be more percifics ?
try re-install the rom
I just faced the same problem on my SGS2. Hold Volume Up + Home button + Power button to recovery mode (I guess SGS3 is the same as SGS2), then re-install the rom. If it is still not working, you may have to try another rom. To incase this problem happening, I always put two old rom and a new rom in my internal sd card, it's a lot safer, but they will use about 1GB in your phone.
Download a new ROM then flash it. Should fix your problem

The damned phone is bricked how are you going to flash another rom or wipe data? I don't think its totally bricked but it will only show the dwonload screen, buttons and usb ports do not work at all so far.
New data: after leaving the battery out for ahwil I was able to get back to the odin entry screen. I pushed the volume up and went back to where I was... this is progress. Now sure where to go from here.
Fumbling worked! Hitting the down volume worked. I am back in the previous rom. I still would like to flask 4.2.2! Please advise and comment. Thanks!

On the galaxy s3 it's down volume, power and home, then down volume to get out of the odin emulator screen. BTW captcha for a site like this reminds of the sysops of 5 line bbs' out of their mother's basements that had elaborate member approval vetting. Self importance to the disease level.
I tried to uninstall the framework via x installer because is wasn't compatible. when i pressed uninstall it said it will go to recovery. after turning off, it turned on and stucked in the recovery screen. pressing power only turns off the phone.I tried power, power+volume up, power+volume down, charging. all leads to the same. it just shows boot logo and then twrp screen.the twrp screen flashes after every 3 sec. since I can't access system or recovery I can't do anything. plz help me.

search for ways to go back to stock ROM for your device model Flash stock ROM ,its the most sure fireway to bring it back now:good:
Is your device recognised by your PC when connected to it? Try both on and off. If so, you can flash your stock rom or even remove any trace of Xposed that might be causing the bootloop using adb.

Is your device recognised by your PC when connected to it? Try both on and off. If so, you can flash your stock rom or even remove any trace of Xposed that might be causing the bootloop using adb.

It stucks at the the twrp logo so I can't disable/remove it
turning off/on won't make difference because if I connect when off it will turn on and straight go to twrp screen
I'll try the pc method
flashed the stock firmware. now working everything.
thx for the suggestion.
Hello guys!
This is a kind of newbie question. My daughter gave me its samsung galaxy core plus g350 because it was impossible to boot. It stayed on a picture of a grey battery. I try to fix it by flashing a new rom with odin. Stupidly, I do that from a laptop with an antivirus. Flashing stopped. And now, the grey battery is changed by the infamous yellow triangle and the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue..." . I've still access to the downloading menu. Then I've tried again from another desktop PC, many different rom, full rom, versions of odin, even a thing called cwm. Each flash, Odin says it is a success, but nothing changes. I've even tried Kies.
I've only the downloading mode and it is said on the first line :
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G350
CURRENT BIN: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: custom.
My question is simple. What is the status of my phone? Hard or soft bricked? Is it a way out? For example, I've read that for hard bricked, changing the motherboard is a solution. But before that, I will be please to read your advice.
Thanks a lot for anybody who can help

if nothing is working... then gently remove ur battery and put ur device in sunlinght for about 1/2 hour then take ur device at room temperature and then put the battery and then press home button+power button+volume button and keep pressing them until u feel some vibration and keep pressing them for about 1-2 minutes.. it will drain all static charges.. then again try to install stock firmware from odin... if this method don't work then contact me again...

Thanks Avijwr for your post.
I've tried again, several time. In fact the little vibration doesn't occur. Odin keeps saying me "success" and the phone sticks on its error message. What can I try in this situation?
