Hello Guys
I present you Clockwork MOD recovery v6.0.3.6(Touch, compiled by me) and v6.0.3.4 for Karbonn A8(Non-Touch, modded by me to fix incorrect backup date issue and faster backups) (All devices which are similar to K-Touch W68 supported example : Symphony W68) mobile.
Warning : The touch version MAY not support other devices rather than Karbonn A8. You may try it but I would suggest go for non-touch version as it is universal
This guide I made is for rooting Karbonn A8. It will also support other phones as well
First before flashing recovery you need to root your device.
Code:
[SIZE="3"][COLOR="Red"][I]Warning : Rooting voids your warranty. I will not be responsible for any kind of damage to device or your SD card in case you brick your phone by being oversmart. If you have idea of what rooting and flashing is then continue at your own risk.[/I][/COLOR][/SIZE]
Download Karbonn A8 drivers here (other phone based on K-Touch W68 search for your drivers) : Karbon A8 drivers
Download Kingo Root and install it.
Enable USB Debugging mode in your Karbonn A8 via Developer Option in settings.
Open Kingo Root and connect your phone with your PC and follow on screen instructions.
Voila You're done rooting! Easy isn't it
Flashing recovery
Download your preferred recovery Touch CWM or Non-Touch CWM and place it on your SD card.
Download Rashr from Play Store or from HERE and install it.
Open it and wait for Superuser access panel to pop-up. Allow it and then you'll see the Rashr menu. Select flash recovery from there and migrate to SD card and select the recovery where you have downloaded and select flash.
Once recovery is flashed it will ask you to reboot into recovery, select yes and then you'll boot into recovery :laugh:
Now backup your data and enjoy flashing custom ROM's
Upcoming Project : TyRaNcY RoM for Karbonn A8 with all customization feautures.
Many thanks to Shimp208 for bearing with me and for guiding me for the process of developing CWM for my device!
I would also like to thank Mariotaku for providing me with the "graphics.c" file for fixing the color issue in my CWM
Consider donating me as I alone as a developer takes a lot of time and resources to get these things working, at time also leads to bricking of device.Buy me a beer if you can
OR Just hit Thanks button That won't cost you

With 8 mega pixel rear view camera, the phone offers high quality image capturing. If you are a user of Micromax Canvas Doodle a111 and would like to gain root access for installing rooted apps or custom ROM’s, then the following tutorial will help you. I have given step by step instructions for rooting A111 smartphone below
2) How to root:
Prerequisites To Root Micromax Canvas A111 Smartphone1. Take complete backup of your personal data in the Micromax device using appropriate apps. Although the root process won’t affect them, its safe to keep a backup.
2. Remove all the Antivirus applications installed on your smartphone for virus protection since sometimes they will cause trouble while the rooting process is going on.
3. Charge your phone battery and keep its backup level above 80% as the rooting process drains the battery. If you don’t have enough battery backup and your device gets switched off during the rooting, then surely it will get bricked. Avoid it by having a good battery backup.
4. ***Enable USB Debugging mode in your device by following the path: Settings -> Developer Option -> USB Debugging.
5. *** Make sure you have drivers for your phone Download from here http://www.androidrootguide.com/micromax-usb-driver-download-get-drivers-micromax-smartphones
Once you have done all the above mentioned tasks, you can move on to the rooting tutorial given below.
download any one application from bellow links

5) Troubleshooting
a)Unbricking
If you are reading this you have a problem. Your phone has become a brick. But do not despair yet as there are a few ways to unbrick your phone. Let us first determine whether it is a soft brick or a hard one.
**Soft Brick: Basically it means your phone is bootlooping or showing a blank screen but you can still go to recovery/download mode. The easiest way to fix this (and determine if you have a soft vs hard brick) is turn off the phone and then press the volume up button and powerbutton (keeping vol up pressed). If you see recovery no problem flash stock rom
**Hard Brick: If you cannot enter download or recovery mode then you may have a hard-brick. This is not a fun situation to be in but there is a fix that may work. It involves lots of linux commands and is not for newbies but then if you are hard-bricked what have you got to lose.
Here is the guide done by ChinmaySharma to get back if u hard bricked

Universal rooting methods:
Warnings:
You are modifying your own phone on your own risk.
There is a slight chance that your phone may brick,
and if it does I will not be held responsible for whatever you do to your phone.
If you have a warranty, after rooting it will no longer be valid.
If your phone has a flash counter, some methods may trip it
resulting in a void warranty or a bricked phone (or both).
If your phone has KNOX, it may be tripped by some methods,
resulting in, once again, a void warranty.
If your phone is encrypted, the data partition
may be wiped for some methods.
There are more warnings specific to certain devices. Do your own research on your paticular device model.

Computerless methods:
1. Framaroot
2. Towelroot
3. Kingroot for Android
4. Kingoroot for Android (Not recommended, but often works)
5. iRoot for Android
6. z4root
Methods requiring a computer:
1. iRoot
2. Root Master
3. Kingroot
3. Kingoroot (Not recommended)
4. CF-Auto-Root
Root Checker - Check if your device is correctly rooted
SuperSU - the recommended superuser application
ADB and fastboot drivers:
ADB and fastboot are (extremely simplified-ly) a way for your computer to talk to your phone. And installing them may be a bit of a problem for some users.
To install it on windows there is a handy tool called the 15 Second ADB installer which will install pretty much everything you need.
On Ubuntu install with:
Code:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
On Fedora:
Code:
sudo dnf install android-tools
On OS X using Homebrew:
Code:
brew install android-platform-tools
Recovery:
A custom recovery is an important part of device unlocking. It's the best and the most convinient way to fix your device if something goes wrong.
Root is required (in most cases) for installing the recovery.
The two most popular recoveries are:
1. Clockworkmod recovery (CWM) - CWM is a very stable recovery with many useful features. You can use the link here to download and install the official version via the ROM Manager app.
2. Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) - TWRP is a stable recovery with a very nice UI and many features such as the terminal, partition managment, file browser and so on. I personally use TWRP because of it's functionality, but if you're starting out CWM would be a better choice because of it's stability and compatibility. Also TWRP is a tiny bit more difficult to install as there is no one click installer.
If your device is not offically supported you can get an unofficial version, however there is no gurantee the unofficial version will work, it might even forever break your device. In most cases it does work, just look at what other poeple who tested it say.
To find unofficial recoveries Google:
[your phone model] cwm recovery
or
[your phone model] twrp recovery
After installing the recovery the first thing you should do it do a nandroid backup.
If you have any questions first try to Google the answer, butif you can't find it feel free to ask me here with a post (not a PM).
Also remember to quote me or tag me with @janekmuric if you want me to repond.
Introduction:
I have a the above mentioned device,I tried to root it many times using many guides found on the web and using many tools [on device or by PC ] but no success.Now I think it is because of it's boot being locked [or something els ].However I managed to root it and install CWM and even cooked a custom Rom based on stock [rooted ,debloated,deodexed,.....].
Who is this guide for:
Any one who have this device or similar [mt6572-4.4.2 ] and he/she want to try it on their own without holding me responsible for any harm whatsoever happen to their devices .
Things you need:
1-SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1320.0.163 [search and learn how to use if you don't]
2-MTKdroidTools [search and learn how to use if you don't]
3-A PC with driver for MTK devices installed [search and learn how to do it if you don't]
4-A scatter file of your device [obtain that by using MTKdroidTools ]
STEP1:::Backup
Before you go any way farther you MUST backup. You can do that by using SP flash tool [no 1 in the things you need above ]
IF you want a guide on how to use SP flash tool go her and give thanks to the author CyberianIce ,you can do a full backup by using read-back option [boot.img system.img recovery.img data.img and others]
STEP2:::::CWM
If your device is not rooted then you can't make your own CWM using MTKdroidTools but you can port one as you by now have your stock [recovery.img from step1] all you have to do is find a guide on how to port CWM on mt6572 like her
After you are done with that and you have a working CWM go to next step
STEP3:::::::Rooting
1- Note: When I try to port CWM it didn't work fine with me it was buggy [seems I don't port it Wright ] so i used [PhilZ Recovery By Ajit] and i use my PC to port it on my device [search and use it if you need ].
2- Back to rooting now you can root your device just boot to recovery and find the rooting option there and use it and download a root [superuser]app and install it or download a root flashable zip and flash it.
3- After you root connect device to PC and open MTKdroidTools and wait for it to read device if the indicator in the left lower corner of the app turned green all is OK if not you need to finde [adbd-Insecure-v2.00.apk] thanks to Chainfire and install it and use it to get adbd insecure and reconnect device to MTKdroidTools and you should now have a fully rooted device with CWM on it.
STEP4::::::Custom Rom making
Things you need:
1- your system.img and boot.img
2- dsixda's Android Kitchen version 0.224 [search here on dxdadevelopers and find where to download and how to use ]
You must add a file in the [edify_defs] folder found in the [tool] folder in the kitchen to do so just copy any file from the [edify_defs] folder and rename it after your device and edit it to look like this
#9026m
change_mnt=yes
param1=ext4
param2=EMMC
param1_sdcard=vfat
boot_mnt=\/dev\/bootimg
sys_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p4
cache_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p5
data_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p6
sdcard_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p7
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
check your mount points according to your scatter file
and go with cooking your Custom Rom as you wish and enjoy
LAST WORD
If you come to a dead end or face any thing just go search for an answer don't give up after all it is your device and the help is just a few clicks away:laugh::laugh::laugh:
