only n900 rom which is perfect but don't support audio mods
Actually, I love the ROM, everything is perfect. I like especially that it's not too much modified. Scrren Mirroring also works. There is only one problem: I have with the SE Linux mode changer tries to switch to permissive, but it was not working. That's why I've installed pekaka kernel, then I could change to permissive. I thought it would help me if wants to install audio mods. Unfortunately that doesnt make sense. I've installed various audio mods, but nothing has worked.

Selinux Changer will not work on Stock based kernel coz of knox enable build in feature .
FYI: you need to use custom kernel e.g SueMax-kernel it has tons of Advanced customizations .

I think my English language skills must get better. You've misunderstood something in the text? I have written that i found out that the normal kernel have no SE Linux support. After this I installed the kernel of Pekaka. Then I could easily switch to permissive. But that has not solved the problem. Or do you want to say that only SueMax kernel solve the problem because its better than pekaka kernel? Have you tried it out?

How to install
1) Enter TWRP recovery.
2) Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache and System.
3) Choose platinum EDGE ROM zip
4) Wait until is finished
(Optional) Flash any kernel you want
(Optional) install MAGISK if you want ROOT. google is your best friend
5) Reboot.
6) Wait 15 or 20 min first boot take too long

Im looking for best battery and perfomance option , after that I found information I cannot downgrade to 5.1.1 ( locked BL ) still looking for best rom option.

The rom it's like stock in terms of battery and performance, only a few tweaks was made, the best you can do is install a custom kernel that can satisfy you, and the rom is semi debloated, i removed apps that you can install throught play store like hangouts, book, etc.

Now im using XtreStoLite DeoMod Edition 3.3.1 , without google play services.
There is somthing more to do with my battery life? kernel from arter.

I'm using hacker kernel v15.5 and the battery life is good.

@ferxx17, hey ur rom is amazing no issues except for acdisplay under accessibility settings...whenever I reboot the device, this option gets turned off...the setting window says it's on...but when I click the settings inside this acdisplay..it shows off...help pls...

can you put a screenshot where that option is to look into it, i don't know if i can't resolve that because i don't have an edge variant but, i going to do my best.

Here are the SS..so everytime I reboot...the acdisplay window is off..although the main accessibility window says on...this could be a bug...

I do have issues with a battery drain, especially in the night..
The battery goes to 0% in deep sleep.
How should i solve ?

my flat variant doesn't have that feature.... so i cannot look into it.... i gonna investigate that, thanks anyway and sorry for the trouble.

On Noble S8 Port ROM with ZeroCameraMod (v3 - only that version working on S6) everything is nice Just look my signature and follow that, that's best compilation for S6 for now for me and for many peoples too

Go to ZeroModCamera Telegram and there you found in shared files Also in Noble S8 port ROM Telegram - there also in shared files. But be careful, really only v3 working, any diffrent.

I will be looking in a ".zip" of a "X-Plore" and that's a Nothing Different for a "OdexLite" (Doesn't working),except in a About "media_profiles.xml" (When.. That's is a Problem for LineageOS?) - When if some will be try at LineageOS (I don't tested in Mod,except of a Stock) then will be should keep write about at this...
When if be Kernel of Kiboi will be pass of a "Noble ROM" (unless then will be has a Kernel for S7 Edge in OOTB of Noble ROM) then I don't will be come back to "OdexLite"...

Samsung Camera version is ~7.0.93 or something like that (stock in Noble and that from Mod), but I didn't saw that you need this for LOS14 so I think won't works... And what website you gave to me here? Homepage thread of ZeroMod is HERE in XDA... We don't need to looking in another forums...

Unfortunately I have a Bad News and on a Fortunately a Good News:
When Bad News about a Camera App it's a doesn't work even if a I replace at v3 (Finally I returned a S8 Port - Still a <10s in Pro Mode)
But Good News about a Noble ROM it's a: SafetyNet finally works - Yes,even of a Kiboi Divine Battery
When I will be think then That's ROM it's will be better port than a OdexLite about a Stable/Functionality. (It's a ~6th time for a Installing Custom ROMs)
Two Additions Reasons for Noble ROM:
+ Fake Stereo (Viper4Android)
+ Can be Change Resolution

Mainly for me also Noble is stablest, best, fastest, etc and battery life is nice also for me (~6h SoT). SafetyNet always passed with N0G33K Kernel. About change resolution, you can set it also on OdexLite etc but not so ez as on Noble And I'm thinking there is also posibility to turned-on Surround Mod on OdexLite etc.
But about camera... Which camera you replaced, from L14 to ZeroMod v3 and doesn't work?

I doesn't tried again LineageOS because I will be Installed at Another ROM {Maybe if I will be have time then I will be looking at Work Camera Zero Mod} so that's problem it's a Noble ROM problem side. (S8 Port instead of Stock Camera) so Camera Zero Mod even of a Oldest (v3) doesn't works if I Removed Newest Version of Stock Camera

What problem you have with ZeroCameraMod (v3) on NNE5.1? I don't have any problems with that... All is just perfect. I didn't touched any thing in camera files because why? Just after flashed NNE5.1 I flashed also FixPanorama.zip then ZeroCameraModv3.zip (any other versions doesn't work) and that's it. All ZCM features working for me fine. Photos quality (mainly in night) is unbelievable.

Real name is a: "zeroCameraS8_7093_v3.zip" and could be worked. But problem it's a no "20 seconds" of a outside app but Otherwise: "camera-feature-v7.xml" and "media_profiles.xml" will be part resolve of Bitrates at outside app.
Finally: That's would be worked. Thanks. But I don't want to close post because that's is a Subject about a Detect Camera mod for LineageOS.

That add's, XMS files are don't needed on S6. Only on S7 Edge to makes front-camera working, nothing other...

Are you using Camera mod S8 app for setting camera app?
What about another feature such as 4K HDR, [email protected] etc. Is it work on your phone?

Yes I think I flashed right file on NNE 5.1 + NOG33K V7 kernel and I have the camera mod S8 app to set the exposure

OK, LET'S BEGIN:
I've been developing for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for quite a while doing the DTUX CORP ROM, and now that my device's hardware gave up i ordered a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Chinese Ed to continue with the fun of making roms and kernels.
I don't have previous MIUI past experience so i'm not aware of the good and the bad it brings, i've checked some youtube videos but is up to YOU to guide me on what should be added in order to improve the experience.
The rom will be MIUI based, debloated the maximun possible without cutting any functionality and with new mods added.

-Services and apps that can be removed from the base rom

No, there is no third one. Indian == Global and they both will have same rom but China has different rom. There are some users reporting problems on RN5 China when using Global Rom like camera fc etc.. That's why I asked

Got it, the camera is different on the Chinese variant which is the logical reason for the fc's. So far I'm leaning towards working with the Global if i don't get issues myself.
It should not be much different, im downloading both bases and do an in-depth compare, but the base that gets more updates and mods would probably be the one to follow

1- IN MIUI , we cant hide media in gallery with turning on MI Cloud Sync. It will be really helpfull if we can disable this check.
2.. Instead it ll be good if we can remove all mi account related stuff from phone.
3. Bundled notifications (I think its already in oreo rom )
Actually im also using MIUI for the first time . In past i was using Lg phones . You can check a developer Named "Xpirt" who makes stock Lg Roms. one thing i really liked in his roms that he inculde a app in his roms which include many tweaks like customising buttons , status bar , changing nav bar hieght , etc .
As of now my device is locked due that 86006 error otherwise i can be tester for your roms , In fact it ll be really helpful if we can find any unofficial BL unlock method

1.If possible take China rom as base.I think China ROMs are more polished and optimize.
2.add kcal support.
3.safetynet patch.
4.viper4android

- An app drawer like stock Android
- Xposed compatible

Kcal is kernel related, we need kernel source code to be able to add that.

I'm a little against xposed because of my experience with it. Don't get me wrong, xposed is awesome but the more modules you use, the more unstable the system becomes, so i prefer to try to add as much features to the rom in order for us not to miss it too much.
A modded launcher will be in my agenda :good:

Just The Stores
If you can just provide us with The Setting, camera, play store and the mi app store.

i want to say that we cant hide media in gallery without turning on mi cloud sync. I don't understand Mi logic in this case that why anyone wants to upload his personal stuff on cloud. it ll be great if you can disable this check

It is miui based. So, substratum can't rock because
Miui's theme engine is on the stage.

How to Install?​
Download ODIN and Samsung USB driver and TWRP recovery
In Your phone go to Settings --> About Phone --> Software info --> click 8 times on Build Number to enable developer mode then go to Settings --> Developer Options --> Enable OEM unlock .
Boot into Download Mode and Flash Twrp

Question: What is the diffrence between MadMax Basic & MadMax ADV ?
Answer
a). MadMax Basic is based on only Samsung open source With minimal tweaks(eg I/O,CPU Gov,WireGuard)
and fixes will be only updated to samsung official update N950F or G955F to maintain it to have experince as
close to Stock kernel.
b). MadMax ADV kernel is also based on latest Samsung source but merge with with Linux 4.4.xxx upstream
& in feauture might have other improvements and tweaks compare to MadMax Basic kernel.

Hi, i love this kernel and have been using it for a while now, and i love the customisation. Today i updated my rom, i was using sac23's s9 port and verdion 1.0h could not boot. The previous versions of the rom worked flawlessly with it, the only changelog was the updated base. Could you guys look into it? Im not the only one who this has happened to.

Good update. V2.0C fixed whatever was causing great idle battery drain. Went from 3% battery drain overnight to 1%. Minutes awake was also reduced. :good:

I usually do 4-5 hours SOT. No heavy use. Mostly just browsing forums, social media and Reddit. And the occasional Spotify and podcasts on my way to and from work work. Bear in mind I have amazing cellular signal for LTE.
