This really bugs me Samsung sell a top end phone yet Release it with pretty much display and sound to a lower level.
Screen I turned straight back up but sound I assume UHQ still worked but it was also turned down which explained the down turn from my S7 to S8 using my Level headset and also in the car.
Why oh why Samsung you morons, the battery impacts seemed negligible.

Bro, just turn them to how you like. They are optional. No need to complain about something you can tune to your liking in 2.5 seconds.

I have noticed a few that look really sharp (eg those from SmartWatch Bueraux) and wondered how much they chew into battery (even those running "low-power" mode) and whether the normal notification pop-ups work while running the custom face?
With those aftermarket ones I tried (2 or 3) the battery will drain in 1,5 days. Not like 4 days as with stock ones.
Notifications won't go full screen, but in most apps they are shown in the status bar. If you click that bar, it will open the notification in full screen.
Thanks, that is hat I was afraid of. I guess I will stick with one of the stock ones and hope Sony offers more in a future update.

i was thinking the same... Anyone noticed how much this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kaybit.smartwatch.customwatch affect the battery? It is said that the low power is supported with the monochrome display and should last several days (sw2).

I purchased this one in the hopes to replace the stock watchfaces. I keep installing it once in a while but the longest I used it about an hour. The reason for that is basically the notifications. No full page notifications kills the custom watch for me.
Most of the custom watches in the play store have the low power mode enabled. But the problem is for them to be useful, watch has to be always connected to the phone. And somebody explained this somewhere I can't remember. The clock face is simply a picture or sorts, and every time it changes (like minute or second) another pic is sent to the watch. I maybe wrong about this. But this might be the reason for battery drain.
So until Sony opens the firmware for full replacement of the stock watchfaces, all custom watches will be crippled here and there. If Sony wants to be a contender in the smartwatch arena, they should really figure out which direction they should go and that direction in my mind is basically being OPEN.

I have the TMobile S6 variant that I've had for about 6 months or so and noticed a few weeks back that that auto brightness does not work. it stays very very low even in very bright settings, I always have to go in a manually change th3 screen brightness. Is there a fix for this in an update or something because I seem to be the only one with an S6 having the issue although it has been reported for the Edge only.
Me and others have the same experience with the S6.
Samsung support told me that it's no issue - just an "individual perception"!
I use the app" AutoBrightness" to substitute the issue of the "world best Smartphone"

Everything seems OK when my phone has just been factory reset but within a day or two the Bluetooth Audio will go weak and low quality until another factory reset which I can't keep doing.
I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this? The only possible trigger I can think of is when I've used my Gear VR but I'm not sure.
Swapped my ear buds out to no avail.
Running on Marshmallow (EVR build) with Dec 16 security patch.
Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

There is no reason, sometime the Bluetooth volume goes to default after new connections or resets (stock rom), true, but just push the volume rocker to the max while connected and you should be ok i guess.
If it's weak with the volume to the max, not sure what it could be, maybe your external BT device?
I think this might be related to using BT earphones with the Gear VR & S7.
I remember a few Occulus apps the sound was just a 'digital noise' (corrupted) when using BT but it was fine when using corded.
Since only using corded earphones when using the Gear VR this problem has not occurred again yet & I spent quite some time on the Gear VR now.
I'll update if the problem comes back but if I don't I think this is where the problem might lie in that something's getting corrupted when using BT audio between Gear VR & S7 that doesn't go away when you disconnect the Gear VR.

Well this problem started again so I guess I'll go back to corded earphones. Sure beats constant factory resets.

Hi
Anyone who owns the Gear Sport, can tell me if the vibration is good enough for waking you up, like the alarm clock?
Im about buying it, but i dont want to be disappointed with the "intensity" of the vibarion. i read some that said its weak even when put on "high", and someone replay to him that an update software somehow fixed it...
It is quite reasonable. You can easily feel it.

Did you tried it?
im looking for it, this is the only thing that stopping me from buying it.
I own both an LG G Watch R, and a gear sport. The vibration on the gear sport is a lot stronger than my LG.
Would it wake you up? That depends on how heavy you sleep I guess. I use it with the "sleep as android" app and have my watch vibrate one minute before the alarm sounds. 9 times out of 10 it wakes me up from the vibration before the alarm sounds.
So...
I'm very confused and everything comes to mind.
without further ado, it's about my watch Samsung S3 SM-R760 whom battery has begun strange behavior literally in one day, from 3 (3.5) days to barely 11h
Current software version of the watch:
Tizen 4.0.0.2
R760XXU2DSC1
KNOX 2.3
I have Auto HR off, Screen 5, GPS off, AOD - off, wifi always off, nfc off, report diagnostic off, only BT on
Basically it is a 350eur paperweight now.

Is it possible that they are set up something that will ruin our watches to buy new ones?
It seems to be watch faces. Try Uninstall all watch faces and only use the default one.

Of course, several times tried to reset, with no additional apps or watch faces, situation with draining same.
so, summary, reset without success to solve battery drain then flashed old firmware 2.3, flashed again new R760XXU2DSA1_Tizen 4, again R760XXU2BQC5_R760OXA2BQC5 2.3.2.3 and get back to R760XXU2DSC1_Tizen_3File_Multi CSC (OXA)... :crying:
I do not know what to do...
Maybe some sensor is working all the time without you can disable via software. A faulty sensor or reading. Uninstall Samsung health app and related

and I doubt on some sensor or even kernel, that is stuck or something like that... so I post here to find some ideas what to try
health app on phone not installed.
And every sensor is tested with combined firmware and it passed.

I have the same problem, but we are not the only one.
Search in samsung forums and you will see. I will selling this crap.
Dont look for magic fix, this is samsung software related error, because if you turn off bluetooth the battery will last 3 days.

I think i found the problem. I hace 2 mobiles, one iphone 6 plus and the other a redmi note 7. On the iphone 6 plus, the watch use 2% in one hour, on the other hand use 10% in 30 minutes. Also on the redmi note 7 i have to install the samsung wear app downloading the apk because from the store now it says is not compatible. And they change the samsung S plugin on the new version. So i guess that the app on the redmi note 7 uses the bluetooth link with the watch all the time.
