First of all,it's a volume strip not a cable and secondly, does the both volume button(vol+ and vol-) isn't working?

I'm afraid you need to replace the volume strip.

[Q] Any one had to use adb to reboot?

Has any one else had their xoom freeze so bad that the hardware button stopped working? Mine actually froze with the screen on for a long time. I had to use a ADB to send a reboot command. If I hadn't been at home that would have been bad... any one else had this problem?
I love my Xoom but Honeycomb needs work!
Power + vol up didn't work? Usually fixes that sort of thing

No, the hardware buttons froze too! Kinda made me wonder if it might actually be some hardware failure. I will just wait and see if it happens again...

How to restart phone without removable battery?

Ok so normally if a phone were to freeze up or something happend you just pull the battery and then put it back in and start it up... is there a button combination or something that no matter what will alwaya restart the phone?

volume up AND down AND power will force a reboot
Wrong
In official user manual on page 180 is that the when not responding press power button for 10 seconds then release to restart the phone

Your method works because you are holding the power button. The volume keys have nothing to do with it you don't have to press them.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to sound mean. I hold volume up + home + power when my i9100 freezes up so I can boot it straight into recovery

Any way to backup my phone image? Getting a refurb from VZW >.<

As the topic states...my power button is broke so I have to get a refurb from VZW. Is there any way to transfer a TWRP backup or make an Odin .tar image that I can flash on my new phone?
Thanks!!!

Your power button is broken in what way? Broken as in even removing it and pressing the white button under the board does absolutely nothing?
Is the phone powered on? If so, just boot into TWRP via your rom or GooManager and perform a backup. Transfer that zip to a computer. If the phone is currently powered off, I'm afraid I know of no way to get it powered on unless you disassemble it. Maybe someone else knows a way?

Well, I can power it on and off...but the power button is very sensitive, even touching near the side will cause it to stick. If you press it the screen will constantly turn on and off, and sometimes the power menu will keep showing up.
I did a twrp backup to my external SD. Is there anything else I need to do so the new phone recognizes it?
Thanks!!!

Nah, just like @dmonleo says, root/unlock and you're good. Mine was like that recently, oddly enough doing the following helped. Try this. Might work, might not.

I actually received my 2nd refurb today from Verizon due to the same issue. The first 6 months of owning the phone, I had the power button sensitivity issue where I won't even need to push it to turn on/off the screen. Now 8 months later, the exact same thing is happening. Now I'm just wondering if I can just flash the stock image and send it back rooted/unlocked.

Taking a screenshot issue

Somewhere between the upgrade to 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 I have lost the ability to take a screenshot with the volume up and power button trigger.
Anyone else experienced this?
I am completely stock.
