My note 5 finnaly died i think - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

So some of u might have caught it around. My note 5 has a bad usb port i ended up ripping it off the circut board a while back cause it thought while laying on a table i was plugging and unplugging it
well earlier today it shut off in my pocket and wont turn on at all nothing no modes.
so when i put it on the wireless charger it takes about 10 sec to diplay battery with lightning bolt but no wireless animation. sits there bout 4 sec then every 5 sec it does it again
if i hold any power mode button combos it will show my note 7 splash screen
so i figured mb failure replaced the mother board with my tmobile board and same thing
So i guess my question is Is the main power also on that usb circut board and finally shorted out.
by the way as soon as i rippe usb of 6 months ago i siliconed over the hole for the port so no moisture got in. and i didnt just rip the port off i carefully heated and unsoldered it.
Or is it a blown out battery it was at 97 % last time i checked at 10 1030 this mornin at say 11 it was turned off?

Thought you meant support for the note 5 ended...no new moar rom, no roms as good

Inspire is DEAD. grrr.. Help?

So my phone battery was dieing. In fact the phone powered itself off. So I went to plug it into my car charger, but the charger port (on the car adapter) was damaged so i never plugged it in. Instead I grabbed a usb charger out of the glove box that I had bought on ebay and never used before. I plugged it in, saw the big battery icon and a few seconds later the phone booted up and I saw the HTC logo. I left the truck and went back to work. When I got doe about an hour later I discovered the charge light on the phone was no longer lit and the phone would not respond to pushing the power button. At this point I figured I killed the battery and would need to try to charge it manually when I got home.
Upon getting home I put the battery in my wifes inspire. It curiously charged it up no problem. So I put the charged battery back in my phone and nothing. It wont do anything. I tried her battery, nothing. No lights, no vibe no nothing. Like the battery is completely dead... But its not.
I actually just bought this phone used about 2 weeks ago its been workign great until now. Im really bummed. I had 2 atrix's get the boot loop problem and another phones screen went. All in the last 3 months.. so annoying.
Im figuring that the usb charger might have an over-volted output and somethign got fried? I have no idea but if anyone can help me that would be great.. I've spent almost 400 in phones in the last 4 months
Thanks!

Also all covers must be on (sim) (battery) to turn on. Sorry dont know what to tell you, phone may have bit the dust. When you left it in the truck charging was it a hot sunny day. You may have damaged internal hardware. If you purchased phone on ebay open a claim against seller. I had a phone I purchased for 400 that kept frying the battery. Ebay made seller refund money back.
See if you can hboot power up holding power button and volume down button at same time.

HELP! Surface RT won't boot after fall

So, today I gave my wife a Surface RT as a gift. Configured everything and began doing a Windows Update. I left the tablet over the kitchen countertop and 5 minutes later my 3 year old climbed it and dropped the surface on the floor. It landed on the upper left corner, now, when I try to turn it on it shows the surface logo and after a few seconds it shows a drained battery in a circle.
I made a USB recovery image using my own Surface but it won't boot from the USB. It starts reading the USB and it goes to the battery in a circle symbol and then it goes off.
Help please!
That's the no battery logo. You need to charge it.
It is fully charged, or at least it was when dropped. I've had it connectedto the charger for several hours and the same logo appears.
Well the logo means it hasn't got enough power so you may have damaged the battery or charging circuit. that isnt something fixable by most people. Perhaps contact the shop purchased from and conveniently make no mention of the fall, see if they swap it as a faulty device.
Have you tried powering it on while connected to the charger?
I've tried to turn it on with and without the charger plugged in and the result is the same. Taking it back to the MS Store is not going to be possible for a few months at least as we're out of the country for the next several months. Thank You.
Unlucky, make sure you get it noted with Surface support that its faulty, see what they suggest, the few times I've had to talk to them they have been really helpful.

Just call them and put in a claim, maybe let them know you'll be out of the country for a while... They'll try to work with you

Having the same problem here.
Tried to charge the battery seems that the charging indicator is not moving.
Is the battery dead?
Any info on this.
Thanks
This worked for me hope it helps
This would be the 2nd time this happened to me and this seems to do with cold and humid weather 50 °F 10°C max (1 April 2013 and 15 June 2014)
My Battery seemed dead charge bar seems stuck stayed at 38% with charger plugged in
Step 1"Quick fix" (please take this Quick with a bag of salt) you need to plug it into a PC or the tab charger plugged in half way and slow charge it while turned OFF (got me from 38% to 82%) in a few hours (48 +/- )but hey it was enough to back everything up just in case i need to send it in to Samsung for replacement battery
Step 2 Use the original charger that came with it and mine started charging no problem at all
A tech at Samsung South Africa said the battery might be drained to far (my tab was exposed to extreme cold so i blamed the cold for the drain)and this is a "SAFETY FEATURE" that gets canceled as soon as the battery recovers to a usable state and should start charging again normally
Suggestions
Clean contacts carefully with toothpick & a tiny soft pain
Only Plug charging cable in half way and leave it for a day or 2
Try a stronger charger
Try any car charger while driving to work or somewhere
Just leave it on charge and tell yourself your reconditioning the battery
I wish your tabs a speedy recovery...
please reply me ..

You plug the charger cable into the tablet but not all the way in, if you plug it in slow-motion style you will feel the 2 hooks click into the tab STOP at this point , you will see it can still go in +/- 1.5 mm depending on if cable is original or not this is what you want.
Basically I'm asking you to do the task halfassed plug it in "like that it's kind of in there" --- This is my preferred way.---
generic cables are normally bigger and much harder it get in some plug in almost sea-saw style one side all the way in other side not in yet a.k.a it's in skew.
I have also seen it work if you plug the USB end in half way +/- (where is half way? on the bottom of the USB you will see the 2 squares the moment they aren't visible your half way)
You can try one of the 2 or both if it never starts check cable/charger.
i took a picture of both ways in one you will see the lightning bolt that it is really charging

[Q] Device Not Charging

Hi Guys,
I have a tablet that my boss gave me today to 'fix'. The problem that it is having is that it isn't turning on, nor does it appear to be even charging. He said he used it until it was dead, then plugged it in overnight to charge, but when he tried it this morning, it wouldn't turn back on. I've had it for about two hours now, plugged into an outlet (the plug is a bulky black 2pronged adapter with samsung written on the side and I have a usb 3.0 plug). I tested the charger out on my Galaxy S5 and it started charging without any problems, so that tells me that the charger is working.
After 2 hours of supposedly charging, when I press power nothing happens. When I press the home button, nothing happens. I read on here that some were having really slow charging times, but I figured after two hours, there should be at least enough power to show the little batter logo on the screen during charging. Now, though, since that indicator doesn't even show up, I'm starting to think maybe I should just take it back to VZW. I was looking at the back of the device to see if it had a removable back cover and maybe resetting the battery would fix it, but I didn't see an indention where you can pull the cover off at (like on the note or my s5).
Any suggestions?
2 hour are not so much, if you used not the original charger. Let it on the charger for around 12 hour and try again - disconnect charger, reconnect again if you can see something...
Plug it in, keep the power button pressed for at least 30 seconds. See if that starts it up.
Hi.
You might try getting an usb volt- & ampere-meter off ebay. They're about 10 bucks or so.
It'll tell you if the tablet is drawing power at all.
Regards
Elo

Changed battery on dead Nexus5, still doesn't work

Old: Phone was working fine at around 7% earlier today when I plugged it in to charging (worked at this time) and went-on playing Civ5 for about 40 minutes. When I grabbed it after that that screen was black and the phone was non-responsive. No charge icon when I plug it in and vol up+down + power doesn't work, nothing works , any help would be appreciated. Note that I dropped my phone into clean toilet water about 2-3 weeks ago but after vaccuming it and leaving it dry for 30 hours it worked just fine. I don't if this (battery dying?) is related to it.
I changed the battery today to a brand new and the phone still doesn't turn off. What could have possibly ****ed up inside the phone? I though maybe charging port but the phone doesn't even turn on for a bit or show any signs of survival. It doesn't even show up when I plug it in to my PC/Mac... Should I spend 10USD buying a wireless charger to test if it has to do with the charging mechanism or should I just ditch this phone...?
I have this same problem, except on some chargers it gets really hot. Otherwise same as you
I am having a similar problem. One day it shut off and it would only boot to google then go black. LG said it was an LCD connector problem and said it would be $150 to fix...i opted not to pay $150 and when i got it back it was on a previous android version 5.0 i think and it worked fine for a few days. Then i did the update that came along and it sropped working again.. wont connect to computer or turn on. Any chance it is software related? I have a new lcd on the way so i will let you know if that fixes it..
Hello, did a new LCD fix it?

Could be a charging port issue? I have a Samsung s4 that was dropped in water. When it dried, it booted but I got a weird message that said the battery temperture was too low and charging was paused. I changed the USB charging port and the phone now works perfectly without changing any other components.
