After rooting my phone and then again factory resetting it, I cannot access my phone? - Yu Yunique Questions & Answers

I rooted my phone using kingroot and after that to gain some extra space started deleting files. In that course I deleted apps like webview and keyboard too was deleted automatically. After getting annoyed by this kind of problem I took a decision to "reset factory settings". When my phone got reset those missing files were still not there. So after selecting my language when I tried to connect to my Wifi then the keyboard didn't load. I removed the password of the wifi then also it would not move an inch further i.e. it wont connect to network. So,I am kind of stuck her. Cant flash Rom because USB Debugging and OEM are not enabled.
Is there any way out?
Help.

Have you flashed any other ROM yet? Try to flash Resurrection Remix 5.8.3, gapps aroma variant.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/jalebi/
Please let me know if it helps.

Goto website www.firmwarefile.com
Select Your Phone
Download file Version 1
Extract using 7zip
Install drivers and ets tool.
Read instructions in readme.txt
Flash using ets tool.
Done
Don't root again with Kingoroot
Use adb commands for unlocking bootloader (Note: unlocking bootloader is a necessary step) and install custom recovery ex. Twrp
Flash SuperSU.zip ( download it from official website)
Now your phone is rooted properly.
You can flash kernel, roms, modules etc through twrp.
See XDA for full rooting guidelines
Hit thanks if you resolved it with this way.

A problem in this method.

Okay so what problem I am facing is that I don't have my USB debugging on and I also can't switch it on because I can't enter settings bypassing the staring screen. And I can bypass them because I dont have webview& keyboard apps installed.
Is there any method in which there is no need to switch any thing on from the phone.
And yes my laptop is connecting to my phone. I made that sure.
I also did fastboot but under adb devices my device is not listed.

Your device must be shown in device manager. Make sure it is in device manager. Try to install adb drivers from another site.
See device manager and tell me when you connects your device what happens ( Your device shown as )
I send you guide for flashing stock ROM in your phone.
First download and then install all drivers without attaching phone.
If not done try to remove all older installations and then again install drivers from given Firmware folder.
I checked it when I install drivers it shows potential harmful for my PC on windows 7.
Then click it install anyways
After 2-3 retires drivers installed properly.

[Q] Unrooted but still have SU app after updating to 4.4.1

Hi,
I hope someone can help me out. I recently updated to 4.4.1 via Clockworkmod. The update worked fine but now I'm unrooted. I still have the SU app, it just doesn't do anything. Is there a way to remove it without rooting again? If not what's the easiest way to root the device (bootloader is unlocked and currently have stock recovery)? The first time I rooted the bootloader was locked and the process I used unlocked and rooted in the same step.
Thanks for your help!
keep the app. reflash a custom recovery, then flash the latest supersu in your custom recovery. there, youre rooted again.

flashing a recovery, a rom, a kernel, and a mod doesnt require root. the only thing that requires root are apps that need root to work.

Tried sideloading 4.2.2 before I rooted again and can't get my phone recognized in sideload. Now I can't even restart my phone. Tried using a different usb port and cable and nothing. I'm reading the only way to restart my phone is to wait for the battery to drain. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks.

What do you mean you can't restart it? Is it frozen? Try holding down the power button for about thirty seconds. It seems to be the equivalent of removing the battery.

Got it. Thanks. Any idea why it wouldn't recognize the device? I downloaded the driver package from SDK manager and tried to update from the extras folder but it said my package was up to date. The only weird thing is the driver is showing up as Samsung Android phone in device manager. I tried uninstalling, restarted the computer, reconnected my phone and it still says Samsung.... Again, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe read my edit below first. What follows is the manual way for doing this. There's a program that'll do all of this for you if you don't want to mess with this.
Try installing the Google Android USB drivers.
http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html
To install the USB drivers, first boot your phone into the bootloader (hold volume down and the power button while the phone is off). Then go into your device manager in windows. You'll either see something flagged with some yellow icon or you'll need to find some entry that says something about Android or your phone. Right click on that and hit update drivers. Unzip the latest_usb_driver_windows.zip somewhere and then point the driver updater at that folder. It'll find and install drivers. Voila, fastboot should now recognize your phone.
Then follow the steps for getting into the bootloader, flashing the custom recovery, and then flashing superuser from the custom recovery.
Edit: OR, just use the Nexus Root Toolkit http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/
It has an option for installing drivers, installing the custom recovery, etc. It's very straightforward.

Thanks for your help. I can definitely try the Nexus root Toolkit but I'd really like to get comfortable doing it manually.
The issue I keep running into is with the drivers. I uninstalled the drivers, installed them again while in the bootloader and it said successful (shows up as Android device > Android Bootloader Interface). Then when I enter recovery and select adb..., device manager lists it as an "Other Device > Nexus 5" with the yellow triangle. I try again there to update the drivers from the same folder that they installed in via the SDK and I get an error that the device driver software can't be found. I have usb debugging mode checked and selected always allowed for this computer. I've tried "adb devices" and nothing is recognized. Any thoughts?

Did you flash a custom recovery while you were in the bootloader? I'm don't think adb works in the stock recovery, but I could be wrong.
As long as you have the bootloader working, that's all you really need. You just need to flash the custom recovery. Then put some superuser.zip onto your storage, boot into the recovery, and flash it.
As for the driver issue, I only did what I told you. If doing it manually didn't work, I'd try the toolkit.

I think the whole point of sideloading is that you can have everything stock if that's what you want. I'm going to try the toolkit because I've tried and tried and can't get the sideload to work. When the phone is turned on I can type "adb devices" and my serial number comes up. I can eneter "adb reboot bootloader" and the phone restarts. It's just when I get to recovery it tells me "device not found". Thanks again for your help and if you or anyone else has any suggestions I'm all ears.

Hmm, from your reply, I'm not sure if you're getting into recovery or not. There's the bootloader and there's recovery, they're separate things. Once you're in the bootloader, you choose to go into the recovery. Then, in the recovery, you choose to "apply update from ADB." Then you issue the adb sideload command from your computer.

Thanks but that's what I've been doing and what's driving me crazy. ADB works when the phone is on. It recognizes my device and reboots on command. I get to the bootloader where it still recognizes my device. Once I select recovery, the phone comes up with the yellow triangle in device manager and I can't sideload after I select the option. A friend of mine who;s sideloaded before watched me do it and was just as confused. Any other suggestions?
**Update**
So for some reason the driver package installed via the SDK manager doesn't have the Nexus 5 "hardware id". I needed to add these three lines in the .inf file within the usb drivers folder:
;Google Nexus 5
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_D001
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_D001&REV_0232
One I added those and updated the driver I was able to sideload.
Thanks again for your help

Leagoo Lead 3 root

I got root on my Leagoo Lead 3 using the following method a user had for his Leagoo Lead 1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54321112&postcount=3
Edit: skip the first step and only proceed to step two. Your device will try to boot into fastboot once or twice. When that's done, open mtk uncle tools on your device and then head into engineering mode and click root in the user/root menu.
Hope this helps anyone who needs root.
Root failed for me
Hi rukusx7
In my case it has failed... can you help me, please?
My phone had installed X applications, google account... prior to root...
Fisrt Step: Bootloader unlock...finish OK
When I run button of Bootloader unlock my mobile init in mode fastboot, make tasks and finish ok and mobile still in fastboot mode
Next Step: KingoRoot.... finish Failed.
When I run kingoroot, my mobile is in mode fastboot ¿it's ok?...make tasks and after a long time finish with failedMy sencond attempt is to run kingroot with my mobile ON as usual but kingoroot failed too..
I think my problem is the step 1. How can I check the step 1 is correct?
Thanks in advanced for your help.
I really messed up with explaining myself on that. I really have NO idea how any of that root guide worked for me.... I completely omitted the first step. I'm truly sorry if my misinformation has caused you any troubles.
Start sony bootloader unlocker and run it with your phone connected.
It will restart your phone to fastboot and then it remains idle.
Keep your phone plugged in, switch it off and boot manually into the fastboot (power + vol up)
From here the unlocker will proceed unlocking.
Step 1 done.

Hi
I also have Leagoo Lead 3 and i successfully rooted the phone. First step finished OK, but on second step with Kingo Android Root i had a problem

Launch mtk uncle and enter engineer mode.

I selected root but nothing happened, it continued to say "checking root status", "connecting to device" and it took lot of time so i closed the program to start again but then i had another problem. It didn't want to connect with device, it tried and tried but without success.
-- my steps --
- When i started Kingo Android Root for first time it downloaded HTC driver so i downloaded latest driver HTCDriver_4.2.0.001.exe ( [DRIVERS] Latest HTC Drivers [4.2.0.001] )
- I rebooted the PC ( now i don't have unknown device in Device Manager)
- On phone launch MTK Uncle and select User (on my phone it is = ENGINEER MODE/ENGINEER MODE (MTK)/LOG AND DEBUGGING/USER2ROOT/USER)
- Go to Settings / Developer Options and turn on USB Debugging (if it is already turned on, turn it off and then turn it on again)
- Start Kingo Android Root, connect phone to PC ( try to use usb cable that came with mobile phone ) and do everything like in step 2
Now open kingosoft root connect the phone and let it do its thing.
At restart of the phone kingosoft will show on screen a message like "checking root status"
Launch mtk uncle and enter engineer mode.
Go to log and debugging tab ans select user2root
Select Root.
Now kingosoft will tell you that root is succesfull and restarts the phone.

If it cant establish connection with phone try to reboot the phone ( don't unplug the phone from PC ) and when it reboots, check again if USB Debugging is turn ON.
I rooted my phone at second attempt but that doesn't means that it would work for everybody or that this steps are needed.
Yeah, it took me a few attempts to be honest. I also used a data cable from my oneplus one.
I'm happy there are more people to help with this, so we can get some proper root instructions.
Also new firmware is on their site. I know nothing about mtk devices. How can I flash it if I can't find how to get into fastboot mode manually? (Why I omitted first step)
Edit: Quick Reboot from playstore will boot into fastboot mode for you!

Successfully installed Carliv custom recovery. You need root first though.
[PORT][RECOVERY] Carliv Touch Recovery v-1.5 for porting to all MTK phones
You need Default [UTIL][WIN][MT65xx] MTK Droid Root & Tools | MediaTek Android Smartphone
I didn't manually do the work. I used the automated porting tool. But to get root shell, I had to run the MTK tools. It notifies you that it can get you root shell by clicking root. Then you run CTRv-1.4 (the automated porting tool) and it can gain root shell access now. It automates everything and boots you into the new CWM.
By this point, if you can get root, you should have everything you need. I installed adb using
[TOOL] [WINDOWS] ADB, Fastboot and Drivers - 15 seconds ADB Installer v1.3
I've also semi deciphered the Chinese menu. So from the first menu entry.

You can build your own custom philz with either the recovery.IMG from your own phone or you can choose one manually. Leagoo has updated firmware for this device on their website. I suggest an update first then root and then recovery.

No need to unlock bootloader. Install mobile uncle tools from play store to device. Pick your favorite rooting tool. I used kingo root. Run kingo root. The app will try to reboot the phone for some fastbook work, when this fails, it will boot back into android. This is where you open mtk uncle tools, head into MTK engineering mode, scroll right until you see user/root. Tap that to choose root and the rooting tool will continue.

I've uploaded my philz touch I "made". I used Easy Magic Philz Installer for mtk devices to get it done.

You can try flashing with flashify from the playstore, or I used the SP_flash tool. You just uncheck what you dont want to flash.
This is where things get good for you. In philz recovery, you can use the built in tool found in the Advanced Menu to Re-root the system. Once completed, reboot and install supersu from the playstore, it will notify you to install the su binary. Reboot and you should have root. Or at least I did.
I used this method AFTER applying the update on the Leagoo website. Which I highly recommend before ANY updates. all updates go OTA after this release. NO idea if update will work after rooting your device or installing CWM.
For using flashify the phone need to be rooted. I started the process with SP_flash tool and nothing, not even 1 %, it's been like this for hours. I tryed every method for rooting and flashing ROM that I could find on internet. I'm starting to be hopeless. Can you upload me you're backup file. I think that i could put it on SD CARD and restore phone to your backup file.

[Soft Brick] [Flash Stock] [Recovery] [ADB Driver] Yuphoria [Solution]

Soft Bricking ?
Phone starts and stuck on the Yu logo.
Hard Bricking?
Phone does not start even if the battery is full. Have to go to the service center.
[Note]
1.Make sure that you have 70-80% battery on your phone.
2.You need a PC and a USB cable to connect your phone to the PC.
3.Flashing the factory firmware will wipe all the data present in the internal memory. So, make a backup of that if you can.
[Required Downloads]
1.Download the flash tools.
2. Download the factory firmware (signed fastboot)
3. adb setup drivers.
4. Mirror for drivers manual install here.
5. You can use this tool performs various functions.
# [Install Adb Derives Manually]
1. First of all extract the downloaded file and save it in the computer.
2. Before installation you have to disable the "signature verification" in windows. In windowa 8 or 10 you can do it by going to advanced settings or you can google the way of disabling signature verification.
3. After that turn off the phone and connect it pressing vol up that it will boot in fastboot mode.
4. When you connect the phone go device manager and search for device connected showing error sign.
5. Now click on that device and check for deriver update.
6. Now select the deriver in computer not automatically and select all devices.
7. Now select "have disk"
8. Browse the folder where you had extracted the adb drivers.
9. Now select the drivers file and install.
10. Ignores the Warning and select "always allow"
11. When finished check the device again by connecting to computer in fastboot mode with usb.
# [Flash Factory Firmware]
Steps
1. Extract the flashtools zip in a new folder on the desktop.
2. Extract the factory firmware zip in the same folder and make sure that all of the flashtools files are also present.
3. Now, power off your phone. If you are stuck in a bootloop, then pull out the battery and reinsert it. (Do not switch on the phone.)
4. While pressing the Volume Up key, connect your phone to the PC with the help of a USB cable.
5. You should now see the fastboot logo on your device. If you did, leave the Volume Up key. (If you do not see the logo, retry the process.)
6. Now go to the folder where you extracted the flash tools and factory firmware and run the flash-all.bat by double clicking on it.
7. A command window will open and the flashing procedure will start. (Make sure that your device does not disconnect from your PC during the procedure.)
8. The command window will automatically close once the procedure is completed.

Hit "Thanks" if found this thread helpful....
Thanks for the solution...... it works well !!
Though my yuphoria was working perfectly fine, i wanted to factory reset my mobile for some reasons, which i was not able to do. Both soft and hard custom recovery options were not working (no recovery screen pop up, mobile boots and stuck at YU logo ), tried your solution and it worked.
Just one input for new users like me, where you have asked users to install adb drivers, i tried that part but on running the bat file, the device was not detected, hence had to add yuphoria device drivers from their official site, i am not able to paste the link here but file name is YUPHORIA_drivers-v1.0.zip, also USB debugging option needs to be turned on in developer option for this solution to work.

Yup bro its difficult to set bootloader driver for yuphoria. But you can install it manually. But always remember to "disable driver signature verification" before installation and i will update the derivers link for manual installation if you message me the link.

"yup"... it will work. There is nothing to do with boot loader. It will flash the stock rom and boot-loader will get locked again. You have to unlock the boot-loader again if you want to flash custom rom again.
And i will get the official ota updates from YU as well ?

yep bro.. you will get the updates and i don't think you know that, there are no restrictions for unlocking/locking boot-loader of YU mobile. I mean the warranty not void if you unlock the boot-loader.
Thnx a lot bro and yeah i knw that ... Actually i'm gonna start installing roms so in case if it goes wrong i just a needed reliable method to get back on stock company's software ....
Thnx again bro

its reliable bro and worked for me when i screwed my phone. But note one thing that you should have installed the adb drivers properly on your computer. Anyway if u screwed up don't hesitate to discuss here.
When i start the flashall.bat the phone restarts and stuck back at the cyanogen logo..!

Is driver properly installed? Or retry to download setup again if you have done right then
1. boot into bootloader
2. run bat file it will take some time. If all goes well then it will say about relocking of boot-loader.
3. seletct yes and restart.
4. you will see yu logo and it will take 10-15 minutes to load so stay calm! If it doesn't load then try again.

How to root elephone P6000?

So I'm using Elephone P6000 (Aka Just5 Blaster2 as named in Latvia).
I searched many places couldn't find anything.
Tried to open bootloader via fastboot but "fastboot oem unlock" or "fastboot flashing unlock" doesn't work and shows me error
"FAILED (Remote: Unknown command)" But the second option was mentioned on help. Also I didn' t found oem unlock option in dev options.
So post any ways how to root.
Ps My android version is 5.0
Just install SuperSU from Play Store and let it update binary. The phone i factory bootloader unlocked and prerooted.
It can't download su binary because of android 5
It has nothing to do with lollipop, how do you try to do that?

It shows: There is no su binary and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!
If you just installed android 5 you have to re root.
It said something like that.
Ok, I didn't have that problem.
Have you tried with Kingroot.

Yes, I tried every app. Can't you tell how to do it manually or at least help me with the problem I can; t flash custom recovery.
It shows that I have flashed it but I still have old stock recovery. I used fastboot.
Use SP Flash Tools to flash custom recovery. You can find TWRP recovery on needrom site, and you have a lot of tutorials how to use SP Flash Tools.
It doesn't work. I turned phone off and on and still just stands still and does nothing.
In which mode I have to turn phone on?
I used stock ROM text and carliv recovery to flash.
To use Flash Tool you need to turn of the phone, remove the battery, press download button in tool and then connect your phone, not turning it on. I got an error trying to flash recovery with Flash Tool, but it's not a real error, phone simply disconnected from PC before it checks if the flash was successful.
Nothings happens Just shows "Super Phone flash tool(Runtime trace mode).
I did everything I need, connected via usb with no battery in phone.
I have phone normal and adb drivers. Meh.
Have you even red some tutorial how to use SP Flash Tool?
Try with tool and tutorial from here:
http://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-1037-1-1.html#.Vryb6fIrK01
As I told you, you need to start Flash tool, select rom to flash (scatter file), in your case to deselect all partitions, select custom recovery, click on download and then to connect phone to PC. It's all written in tutorial, all you need is to read.
I have the same problem, this phone seems to be unrootable and without the possibility to flash a costum recovery, help me please,MMI TEST on the device appears everytime I reboot phone and I launch an app so I want costum recovery to manually root and remove this system app,HELP PLEASE.
Custom recovery flashing and rooting your phone are advanced user activities, if you can't learn how to use SP Flash Tool you shouldn't try to do it.

I think Asus fixed their ****,so basically I was able to flash the patched_boot.img now.At first it gave me the network error but every time I always tried again, eventually it gave me the no pin error even thought I had a pin.I tried several times with that too and sometimes it would reboot but not wipe anything, until I took away my pin and it immediately gave the no pin error and I tried again and it rebooted without wiping anything.I contacted asus support over the phone and on zentalk and they told me it was already unlocked.I tried flashing the patched boot image and it went through.I booted into the phone with no problems indicating boot loader was unlocked I think.then surprisingly I checked root with root checker and it came back saying I did have root. I guess they updated the unlock boot loader tool to make it not wipe anything.

It's easy enough to do dowload the firmware from their website, install the magisk manager apk.extract the firmware zip and locate boot.img file.copy it either onto a sdcard or select file transfer on your phone and transfer to your phone.AFter doing so go back in to the magisk manager apk you installed select install->patch boot image file->locate the boot.img file you copied let it patch. After it patches make note where it saves, copy that "patched-boot.img" back to your computer(into the adb folder)and inside adb folder hold shift key+right click then open a comman prompt window.type adb devices.Make sure usb debugging is enable in developer options after pressing build number 7 times.make sure your device is found after hitting enter on adb devices.type adb reboot bootloader.after your phone reboot into fastboot mode(ther'll be a llittle word on the bottom left of your phone screen)main screen will be powered by android rest is black.now type fastboot devices to make sure your device is seen.and then type fasboot flash boot "patched-boot.img".Then you'll be rooted.Make sure you unlock bootloader with their tool first.
any news on how it went for you?
Until now i have no luck to unlock my max plus.. I already ask asus personel but until now its under investigation... Im still waiting.

I tried this, and now my phone has a bootloop...
I have no backup of the original boot.img.
Flashing the whole FW with SP Flashtool doesn´t work (Brom error), I tried all combinations with Vol. Up & Down...
Does anyone has an idea how to get my phone working again?
It came with FW Version WW-V14.02.1711.22 and a chinese Recovery, I wasn´t able to install updates from the beginning.
ADB is also not working, the device is shown as MTP, I have no connection via ADB.
The only thing which is working is fastboot.
Is there a solution to get it working again with fastboot? Can just flash an other boot.img?
Help
can you explain how you did it please, I have the same
