look at aliexpress, search "For Lenovo VIBE P2 P2c72 LCD Display".
Hello and thanks for the answers, with Aliexpress is very often only the display without frame, which it badly attaches as the frame has very thin and little surface to glue

Yesterday my lenovo p2 had hard landing and front glass crunched. Although, LCD display and digitalizer are working just fine. I've found front glass on ebay for ~30$. Does anyone ever tried to replace only front glass in this model? Does anyone know if it's glued and if digitalizer is bundled with display module, or it's between glass and display?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the clue. I've just checked, and super amoled has integrated digitalizer, so there's hope that it's not the part of front glass. Although, there still possibility, that front glass is integrated part of whole display
I smashed touch panel and display itself, did claim yesterday and has been accepted for repair under Lloyds phone insurance included in silver package. Paid 50 pounds

Did you find a solution for this?
My P2 has cracked glass (like others, dropped from a few feet, glass completely shattered).
The LCD and digitizer are still working fine so a new glass should fix it but is it possible to only replace the glass or do you need the complete glass/digitizer/LCD module?
Thanks

Yes. I've read a lot about this and there's possibility to change only glass. Although it's extreamly riski to do so without proper tools and experience (almost certain to destroy super amoled display). So I've searched for a company who can do this, and found one in my country. They charge for it ~100$ and give 12 month of warranty. I've alredy send them my phone. Although due to shipment of new parts, I need to wait next two weeks for repair.

I have the same problem, there's an abundance of any other phone screen LCD compared to the one for the Lenovo P2. Are the screens getting discontinued for whatever reason?

No stock on AliExpress, I have checked.
I can find a replacement glass only but I think the risk of damage to the current digitizer/amoled is high when removing the cracked glass.
Bump
Has anybody got a reliable source? There seems to be a global shortage of these bloody screens and besides the official Lenovo replacement costing 90% of the price of the phone, there are no other options available anywhere. Nothing on AliExpress, BangGood, Alibaba, eBay and anywhere else in my coutry.
for this reason i use a RIGGED CASE on my p2 eheheheheh
atm the screen is difficult to find!! better to use a nice cover......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQd0zJc9YPA
Maybe you should ask uploader of this movie.
You can currently buy it on AliExpress for $189.99. However, you can buy the entire bloody phone on BangGood for $209.99.
Hi, I have broken my display and as I'm looking on AliExpress, there are displays for something like 20$. And then Lenovo P2 display 190$, WTF?
Do you know if there will be cheaper displays available? Personally, I'm pessimist :/

I have replaced several screens on Touch Diamonds, however the LCD matrix appears to actually be stuck onto the digitiser and the LCD itself is very very fragile. I usually replace the whole unit (LCD screen and digitiser) because it is much easier. You can purchase these from various sellers in Hong Kong on Ebay.
I have allready bought a touch screen but not the lcd screen!!! Do u have a guide or something that shows how to change it???

My recommendation would be to re-sell the touch screen and buy yourself a complete LCD & digitiser module. It is much much easier to do. In terms of taking the phone apart, it is fairly straight forward. Be careful with the small co-axial cables inside though, because they are easily damaged and difficult to obtain without replacing the antenna board. Re-connecting the ribbon cables can also be a bit fiddly.
The LCD and digitiser are glued into the front of the phone. You will need to disassemble the phone and then very carefully using a plastic flat blade, ease the LCD out of the front of the phone housing. It will come out with a little bit of care. There should be enough glue remaining in the housing to re-seat the replacement unit and hold it in place.
If you google you should be able to find the HTC Diamond service manual which tells you how to take the phone apart and re-assemble it. I have a copy, so if you can't track it down, PM and I will e-mail it to you.

Hi,
To barncourt, how is the build quality of those honk kong made screens?
also a lot of the screen+digitizer that i have seen on ebay all have the front facing camera. would it be possible to use that screen even though my diamond is the one that has no front facing camera?
Of course, it is just a hole

Hi I wanna know can you share your supplier adress with us ?
I'm looking for a LCD+digitizer and what I see is not something giving confidence...
So if you can give us some real-tested place to start...
Also I've dismantle the phone but it's quite hard to take the screen+digitizer away...
it's seems completely fixed with the housing does some one got s pics or guide on how to dismantle and replace the screen
(The HTC service guide you can see here and there just don't deal with the screen.)
and when I started just broke my screen (which was already broken anyway so...)
http://www.fuelip.com/howto/diamondlcd/diamondlcd.htm
I followed that guide and replaced my screen. I have one last problem though - I can't fit back my power button. It's made of two parts the black plastic cover and the transparent rubber. How do you stick them together? I'ts funny that I took my whole diamond apart with all the cables and boards and now I can not figure out how to fix a silly button
I have a P6810. It has a broken display inside but the outside glass is good and the digitizer/touch screen still works. I mostly see offered entire assemblies consisting of display, digitizer and sometimes bezel for over $250. This is simply too expensive to repair a P6810. I would like to buy just the AMOLED w/o digitizer. Does anybody know of a source? Are display and digitizer able to be separated?

If you can figure out how to separate the amoled display from the digitizer/touch panel, I would be glad to buy the touch panel from you.. My 6810 still has a great amoled display, but has two cracks in the glass touch panel.

For other tablets, I see instructional videos on youtube where they use heat to unglue screen from digitizer. Seems tricky and I have not yet encountered any report of this working on a Galaxy Tab 7.7. That said, if you want to buy my P6810 for parts, please PM me. I've tested it with the multimedia dock using HDMI output, controlling it via the touch screen, so I know it is in working condition, except for the screen.

I sent my tab for repair lately at Samsung and they ordered the whole assembly [Digitizer+Bezel+AMOLED Display]. Because there is a portion in my screen that cannot pickup any touch input. They said they will install it with the whole assembly although the only problem is my digitizer. I think they sold it as a whole assembly and it will be risky if you separate the Digitizer from the AMOLED Display.

Nothing. Warranty covers it all. I also requested a new backplate 2 months ago about my backplate getting scratch after they flashed a stock firmware in my tab. They replaced it without asking questions. I think the new backplate cost $60 and $250 for the new display assembly. :good::good: for their customer service!
I dropped my Moto G a few weeks into owning it and destroyed the front glass. First phone that I have broken the glass on and I was very disappointed.
Starting looking around at options of fixing it. Thought I would try just changing the glass since the screen was fine and the digitizer still worked. After watching several tutorials I decided that this was a bad idea. Thought about getting just the screen, but it still seemed like a lot of work.
Then I came across an entire replacement front housing HERE.
Has anyone bought something like this? It seems like it would be super easy to replace.
I do think it should be very easy to replace. You can find an even cheaper one here : http://www.ebay.com/itm/271508770936?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
As to changing only the glass, as you mentioned yourself it looks quite difficult indeed, since you need to separate the two layers. I wouldn't try it myself.

I have bought 2 so far, with the front housing. Those are the best option since they are super easy to replace, unlike the digitizer only (which is also harder to find). The 3rd option is glass+screen assembly but that is the same as replacing the digitizer itself so ye.Also the Moto G has its plastic around the glass sticking up a bit for protection, which makes the replacement of that xtra hard (you can literally ruin the frame even if you done that multiple times on different phones). Also you are safe of getting dust between the glass and the display (which is very annoying).
When you get digitizer+display+frame, you`re esentially saving yourself shidload of trouble and avoiding all that I've mentioned above. There are only 2 things you need to move on --> the earphone and the microphone (depends on the revision of the board).

The quality of the ones I bought is great.I'm not sure if the glass is Gorilla Glass but it feels like the original and the plastic is virtually the same. They could be OEM, cos they fit too damn good with everything else, although I (nor the seller) don't claim that they are.For the price (~40 usd) that I buy em for I'm totally satisified.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Ordered one of these about a week ago hoping for it to show up soon .
I'll make sure to update everyone when I get it and it is installed.
Well i got the screen in today and it looks identical. Sadly the tools that they provided are not the right Torx size for the phone.
Got the new screen installed after a trip to the store to get a Torx set. It looks and feels like the original one. Changing it out was incredibly easy as well.
After 3 wonderful years of enjoying this device, I finally dropped it in a way that cracked just the front glass that protects the screen unit itself, in the corner near the Camera. Although *everything works 100%* and this damage is merely cosmetic, I want to replace the glass since it is what protects the screen itself.
Does anyone know where I can buy just the glass that protects the screen?
Many thanks!

If I were you I'd buy the screen/glass together as it's nearly impossible to remove the front glass from the screen itself. I just replaced one in a Mate 9, ordering the assembly is way easier.

Hi AJ, thanks again for your quick reply and good advice. I did some research about what you are saying in that it is definitely a difficult endeavor to successfully separate the glass from the LCD without damaging it and indeed it seems you are correct based on how easy it is to destroy the LCD as the following YouTube video so perfectly demonstrates - it is definitely worth checking it out.
Quick question, is the glass and the LCD on the X2 glued in the ENTIRE screen area just like the Samsung's are as in the YouTube video, OR, is it just the double-sided tape that is used AROUND the LCD and no glue in the middle of the screen? If the X2 uses just the double-sided tape *AROUND* the LCD then maybe getting just the glass would work, but if it is glued uniformly like the YouTube then definitely better to get the whole assembly in your link with LCD and glass together.
I'm just worried about the replacement LCD being not as good as the one I have now in terms of quality!
Thanks.

Hi AJ the device looks OK but I prefer a battery higher capacity and at least 5000mAh vs this device at 3900mAh.
Also, the screen is slightly smaller at 6.43in vs X2 at 7in but this is not a deal breaker.

Hi,
Can someone please comment on the quality of these LCD screens for the X2 on AliExpress and whether certain ones should be avoided in terms of originality/quality and overall result?
Looking at the following (see below) items for sale on AliExpress I notice that:

2. The resolution stated in the item description is 1920x1080 but when I go to my phone menu in Settings->About Phone, it says my resolution is 1920x1200 which is better than 1080. Is this relevant?

I've ordered Mate 9 screens from Aliexpress and they are hit and miss. The first one I ordered was perfect. The second one wasn't glued well and wasn't as bright and clear and I ended exchanging it for another one which was fine.
The seller has the resolution listed incorrectly.
Over the weekend I dropped my mix 2s and have cracked the bottom of my screen glass.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and fixed this. I have purchased a new glass on eBay: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/263620735738?ViewItem=&item=263620735738
I am planning to take it to a professional repair shop.
Is it likely that they will be able to separate the glass from the LCD and glue on this replacement? Is there any risk of this going wrong and my screen from acting weird afterwards?
No, it is in fact very unlikely they'll be able to separate them.
It will be more expensive but you'll have to get an lcd display and glass assembly all together.

According to this: Ali Express
LCD Only: If the image under the glass is broken and the touch panel is NOT then you only need an LCD.
Touch Panel aka Digitizer: If the top touch panel or aka glass top is cracked or broken but the image under it is fine then you only need the Touch Panel.
Complete Screen with Touch Panel and LCD: If the top touch panel is broken and the LCD image is either black liquid or cracked you need a complete screen.

According to that; If the glass is cracked, I only need the Digitizer replaced.
I am happy to get the whole thing, its just I have already ordered a Digitizer and thought this was all I needed. I could be wrong.
Any recommendation on the type of screen I should purchase for best results?

Is it likely that they will be able to separate the glass from the LCD and glue on this replacement? Is there any risk of this going wrong and my screen from acting weird afterwards?

Over the weekend I dropped my mix 2s and have cracked the bottom of my screen glass.

Hi i managed to change my whole lce by myself. Its quite hard only for heating the glue and opening everything. There is no guide on internet so i just follow mi mix 2 guide. I bought from aliexpress, 60 euro, claimed to be original, checked its JDI from cti app, and very good quality, color also very good, nothing weird, glass also oleophobic.
Any update on this? I'm in the same situation, front glass is cracked but phone otherwise fine. Replacement is only $10, but can just the glass even be replaced?
I just bought the whole LCD/Digitizer for $60, not even going to attempt to separate just the glass

Hey emanuel.caesar,
thanks for your helpful post. A few further questions from my side:
which lcd did you choose exactly? Are you still satisfied with the quality? And the last question Does the video guide for the Mi Mix 2 work for the Mi Mix 2s as well or are many things different? Thank you in advance for a short reply.
Hello,
Is not a good idea to try to just replace de LCD screen. I did this operation many times in the past and I can confirm that's a long operation (~1h30), there's a lot of risks that you break the digitizer and for a good result, you need LCD glue and a UV machine.
So, I think it's a better idea to replace all the screen: LCD + Digitizer.
Any suggested YouTube videos to replace the glass + LCD + digitizer?
Looking at a used phone with broken glass. It's like $10 for glass or $32 for the whole set and if I recall last time I had glass swapped it was like $60 labor and no guarantee the LCD wouldn't break. I'm pretty technical have repaired plenty of phones Android and iPhone. Anyone have a good link for removing the LCD / digitizer / glass unit? Is this like the Samsung where you need to use a blow dryer to heat the adhesive to get it off? Or like an iPhone where you just take screws out and pry the panel out? Much appreciated
