How is the keyboard? Any different from the S7?
Oh and is the volume warning still there when turning the volume up?

Just heard that Bixby is gimped until perhaps software update later this spring. Your first impressions on Bixby "lite" or did you just shrug your shoulders and remap button?
Yeah How's this? Most if not all of us pre-ordered ours on March 30th and won't be getting them until April 17th-21st.
How's battery life?!?
I also like to know about that stupid volume warning. Almost forgot about it when I left the S7 last year for my iPhone 7 Plus.

I have seen these kind of threads pop up all over the net but without a picture. Most people trolling for attention as anyone can say they got 1 and give some type of opinion so take a pic f it with some kind of proof you have it in hand or it never happened.

One more question about the volume warning. Is it a constant nag with the headphones or Bluetooth or does it only remind you once like the Pixel and then goes away? Also, US Version?

I'm gonna need a rehabilitation center for this phone, I bought it 4 hours ago and every time I put it down it takes 2-3 minutes before I am yearning to pick it up and play with it again. I think that Samsung has slipped some chemical in the phone that creates an addiction. Is anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone found any decent techniques to rehabilitate themselves?

Hi i was just wondering if anyone knows how to get the nexus 5 fully working with verizon network. Thinking about ordering one tonight. Thanks in advance.
Seriously?
There are several threads on this topic already. A mod is not going to like this.
Answer, No.
Bro search before posting. There's already a thread on this. And so far it's cr*p. I bought an N5 to use it on Verizon. I'm gonna a try a couple tricks(don't ask please) and if it doesn't work then I'm off to Tmo or sell it for the Moto X.

I got frustrated with my Gnex for a sec and I'm like screw this I'm gonna save others from defects from the Nexus 5 and then made the thread without any thought. My phone had really bad screen burn in, asked for a replacement under warranty.
The replacement apparently had a motherboard defect, eventually not recognizing the battery and all sorts of other crazy behavior.
The second replacement has a dent in the glass (not crack), and under that dent are some black ghost images that look like crack lines. As if someone cracked their screen and Verizon never replaced the digitizer/Amoled panel, just the glass.
I'm worried this will get worse, and then Verizon will claim I did it and that it voided the warranty. So I'll send this one back too.
Let's see how many replacements I can go through before one works how I want it to. :good:
I got into the habit of taking my sealed refurbished phones with me to my bored Verizon corporate store and opening them with the manager. We both got some laughs at the utter crap they send out. I never wanted blamed for their mess.

You can of course ask to recive a new and not a refurbished one. I had an issue with the charge port not accepting the cords so I called they sent a refurbished with the same issue so I called again and asked for a new phone not a refurbished as I already had issues, and they sent me a brand new one. It never hurts to ask.

I agree, at this point I would pretty much demand a new phone after you've already received 2 bad refurbs.
I got some horrible replacements sent to me when I had a Galaxy Nexus...I think 5 altogether (I then demanded to be sent an s3, and they actually agreed). I even had a replacement s3 sent to me that lasted for all of two hours before the backlight died. I never got a new phone sent to even though I asked multiple times... But you never know until you ask.

I wish I would have done this! I received the third replacement today, and it's "STA" date on the back is 1/11/2014.
Unfortunately it has 4.3 already installed on it. So only possibly root for me.
I thought it would be new because of that date, but I did a screen test, and it still isn't a new phone, there are dark artifacts. Testing everything out right now to make sure its ok.
after the third swap theyll give you a diffrent phone if you ask
So do you think that any replacement phone that is sent out from now on will already have 4.3 stock on it? Yikes!

Gotcha. Hmm, interesting. I wonder if these artifacts in the screen justify a replacement. In daylight they're invisible, but in a dark room they're visible (reading in bed or so).

Oh you're lucky. I got mine on launch day, early July 2012. By December 2013, it had the keyboard burned in (I could see the keys), the notification bar, and the Whatsapp header bar burned in. And that all was visible during any kind of screen.
Maybe it was the first run of devices that had it.

Got mine same time as you and my screen is still fine, guess I don't have a single app open long enough to leave an imprint.
Why do they get it and we don't? This is so frustrating.
Nor does the S5... Or the Z2... Or the Find 7...
I think the question we should be asking is why did every other manufacturer decline the functionality?
My guess is that it either isn't too great with battery or the keyword HAS to be "Hello Snapdragon" which didn't fly with them.

You're right! I wasn't aware the GS5 had that. Indeed they're most likely using the chipset feature.
But this raises another question, why didn't one plus customize their keyword? "Hello Snapdragon" is kind of a mouthful. I guess it doesn't really matter.
I can't help but wonder if this functionality can be hacked in. I'd think it would be easier on a AOSP based ROM.

Not Sprint's fault this time. Europe only received the update from Samsung this week. Clearly the fault lies with Samsung dragging its feet and trying to force us to upgrade to the S7 (which for me is not going to happen as this will be my last Samsung)

I too want the G5. I like the whole module concept, especially the camera one that extends battery. I'm on the fence though because I'm intrigued by the S7 Edge but at the same time wondering about the next Note lineup up and hoping there's a new version of my Note Edge as this thing is still my favorite phone to date. It really sucks Samsung dragging their feet on marshmallow and is the big reason why I feel like switching to another manufacturer.
