thanks, most likely im just gonna post it on ebay
it has a small crack on the screen (and ive watched other cracked ones that have been going for around $150)
which would be sweet cuz it would cover the cost of my one x

the screen not only looks, but feels much nicer to me

I'm picking up my one x on Sunday. They were out of the white one so I waited for it. Yea its a nice phone. I started out with an HTC phone so I've always been partial to the smoothness of sense. Never really liked touchwiz much.
Much smoother than touchwiz huh? Transitions are super smooth. Almost like iPhone smooth.

yeah i really am surprised with how fast it is, especially considering its stock.
some people call it a lagless experience, i would say its close to it.
cant wait till we get rom's going, considering its already incredible.

iphone users could care less what we say (I know, I work with about 30 of them), they know 100% that they have the best phone ever made & that's that.
Most of them just give you a blank look if you bring up ANY other phone........

And I thought religious debates were over and here we are again with apple and samsung xD and yes all of us are aware of the s3's capabilities but let us allow other people to believe in their own right. They can dwell in their illusion as long as they want so let them be.

I've used both the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the iPhone, BOTH are great phones, it's just preference for some users.
Personally I prefer the greater customization of Android, some others may prefer the ease of use in iOS.

Exact same situation here as well. My mom's already fed up with the damn thing freezing up every day, even though it's on the stock V21y ROM and baseband, which was supposed to "fix" these issues. She reboots it just about every day too (or else it gets slow as molasses).

For moms, just flash them a vanilla cm7 with either faux 048 or Trinity T15 kernel.
Solid, dependable, hassle free after initial setup.

Does anyone know if there has been any real progress since the ICS release/leak/whatever for the SU660? I thought that since it has the tegra 2 as well maybe it could be ported over more easily than from the p990. But I don't know what all is involved with that sort of stuff.

As much as you could sell iPhones / Galaxies on craigslist for I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often to people
It's basically like if you're in public showing off that you have $400 - 500 on you that is easily taken.

If you have the right software law enforcement can track down the phone. I would assume that people who steal phones at gunpoint aren't very tech savvy.

Sadly, Samsungdive was my only option. The phone has probably been sold and factory resetted already but i'll be sure to install some tracking apps next time. Experience comes at a price!.

When I saw the the thread name I thought to myself, this is definetly a South African as this happens far too often down here with some people losing their lives over a damn phone.
Shocked to find out it happened on the northern tip of Africa, Egypt .So sorry to hear that mate, glad they only took the phone and not your life. Where were you when it happened?
The GS4 is worth it, definetly, got my GS4 as my GS3 broke, used my GS2 for 2-3wks and got GS4 on launch day, and I've been happy ever since, it's a lovely phone, more refined than GS3.

Get one that you can install as a system app so that when it is factory reset it doesn't go away unless the buyer knows about rooting.

I was thinking to skip the s4 this year and replace them both with s5...but i sorted out with my insurance and on monday i go to get a s4

Cerberus is brilliant and totally controllable from your laptop / pc / or another phone... it can take photos of whoever tries to unlock and puts in to many false attempts.....

Excellent Case for a Commuter!

So I'm a university student who has to commute to school everyday. I wanted to get a clear case that let's me show my month pass so I don't have to fumble around with my wallet. I tried looking at the malls but they were all for $10 or more.

I received it in a week. The case was exactly like the one I saw in stores. The build is good, and there isn't really much to say about it other than that it serves my purpose well! Here are some pics:

I got the same but in black simply because I was fed up with the phone sliding off desks/shelves/toilet cisterns/the floor.
It's tough and easy to remove at night when I slot the phone into a charging cradle.
