Are there instructions to increase the size of the partition where apps are stored? We keep getting no space error when updating apps.

I hope this is the right section.
I own a Desire. I have a custom ROM ( JB ) and a sd-ext script ( mount2sd. Specifically, I mounted sd-ext/, which is 1gb, as data/ and data/ as sd-ext/. So now my data/ partition is on the sd-ext and all the apps are there ).
Now I have 100 MB free, and I get the low disk space warning, not allowing me to download and install more apps. I suppose this is because I have less than 10% of memory free, but my free memory is still as big as the original data/ folder, or some MB less.
Is there any way to lower the warning treshold to 5% so I won't be able to install apps when the free space will be 50 MB?
Many thanks
Is it possible to resize active partitions/
I am running Stock JB on sytem1 and ParanoidAndroid 4.3 on ssytem 2 (this is my primary system). Prior to ROM flashing I created (3) 1GB partitions for each system. Now my Data partition for system 2 is at 100MB even after I moved every app I could to the SD card. Every thread I looked at said 1GB was more than enough for a data partition so I cannot understand how I've run out of space. Perhaps I am not using the partition structures correctly. Anyway, I was hoping to resize an active partition the same way I have with Partition Magic when resizing a Windows drive partition. Thanks for any replies.
I can't even root and install CF.lumen drivers. Can I increase the space of the system partition? I'd be willing to give up some space from user data space for system.
I have Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250. I want to flash other roms like miui 7 + Full Gapps. Many times I suffer that system storage is insufficient while flashing. I want that please tell me how can I increase the system memory. Please help from this problem.
Could you please tell me how to delete this thread I erroneously posted in the wrong forum? Thanks!

Hello,
I own a CMR-W09 with the 8.0.0.168 system. I try to install the 8.0.0.181 OTA update but I get a “insufficient space” error dialog box: I need to free ~200MB.
Why is that? The update is “only” 465MB and I have 1.1GB of free space on the storage card (/data) and 1.4GB on the system partition. Isn't this sufficient?
I get the same kind of error when trying to update apps: sometimes 500MB of free space aren't sufficient to update a 10MB app. How so?
That leads me to this model disk usage: is this normal the /data partition is only 22.2GB? Of which a gigantic 13.7GB is used for system data? Meaning I only get 8.5GB (or even 6.2GB if I take into account the 1.3GB I should keep free for OTA updates!) to install my own apps … I expected at least the double when buying a 32GB device! Any way to extend this? Through adoptable storage? Or Link2SD or anything similar?
