(General) MM stuck in restricted profile - General Questions and Answers

Hi!
Anybody could help? My phone was overheating when gaming and it shutted down. After a while I rebooted it and it started MM with restricted (maybe guest) profile and now I am stucked it... I haven't found a way to get rid that off...
Cannot get dev options.
In settings - pressing user don't do anything...
ROM Imperium ROM v13.0 LG G4 (but this problem is not ROM related).
Actually it is like this situation: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/help/restricted-user-phone-crash-t3527432
I really do not want to do factory reset... And if that is only solution then this is really SEVERE bug for Android...

Various Problems - NO ROOT and Stock ROM

Hi,
My configuration is:
Android Version: 6.0.1 (MMB29V)
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-gbaedb01
NO ROOT - Stock ROM
Problems:
1) Microphone: when I make calls, my voice seems a little electronic and not clear to the other end
AFAIK this problem is there from the beginning (lollipop or JB I don't remember)
2) I cannot use speakerphone because there is a lot of noise (seems I'm in the middle of an hurricane)
AFAIK this problem is there from the beginning (lollipop or JB I don't remember)
3) Sometimes when pressing the on/off button (while locked), it vibrate and the camera app appears.
From this moment the front camera is unavailable and I have to restart the phone to get it working again.
This problem appared after upgrading to Andorid 6.0
I searched the internet and found only some suggestion to disable OK Google (for the mic problem).
I tried it, (also tried to disable google now), the situation is a little better, but my voice is still disturbed.
Hope you can help me...
Rooting and installing a custom rom could possibly resolve the situation?
Thank in advance...
Was the phone new when you purchased it? Has it always had these problems? Was the phone dropped or bumped?
These problems are not normal based on my experience with the N5.
The phone was refurbished from google (I received it jan-15) and these problems were there from the beginning, except for the on/off button (which came in after the marshmellow upgrade)...
Sounds like a hardware problem that cannot be fixed via software.
The third problem is probably cause of the shortcut to open the camera (pressing Power button twice to open the camera).
Although it is weird that it freezes your phone, perhaps you could turn the setting off by going into Settings > Display.

Issues everywhere, hardware problem?

Hi there,
I'm experiencing massive issues with the Nexus 5 of my wife. Everything is basically broken
It started 2 days ago, the phone start rebooting without reason and heating a lot. Applications sometimes hang for a long time, or the screen stays black with only the notification bar displayed.
Wifi is never able to connect, even though the welcome screen is able to display available wifi. On the welcome screen after a fresh flash, nothing happen when I enter the WIFI password and try to connect. Only the "ignore" button is available, as if I have done nothing.
LTE connectivity seems to work, but I have removed the SIM card for further testing, so it's hard to say.
Parameters screen sometimes works, sometimes won't. Battery consumption screen never works.
The phone is never able to shutdown properly, it hangs forever on the shutdown loading circle; I always have to hard-reboot.
I changed the battery (I had a spare one ordered few days before the problem occurs just to see if it improves the battery life), with no luck.
When I opened the phone to change the battery, it is clear the heat come from the CPU.
I tried (I wiped everything each time in between):
- factory reset
- flash a stock rom from Google website (MMB29K)
- flash latest Cyanogenmod rom (ZNH0EAO2NM)
I have the same issues with any of those 3 roms. I captured some logs while running MMB29K and ZNH0EAO2NM:
Stock (MMB29K) logs: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-CDc3nzF3e3M28tM2xjTmJKa28
Cyanogenmod (ZNH0EAO2NM) logs: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-CDc3nzF3e3TVUtTmExZDBLUms
The only state where the phone is stable is when TWRP is booted, which is not so useful...
I'm thinking of a hardware issue, but is there anything else I can try? What do you think?
Thanks a lot!
Nobody?
I said the same thing in another post. The fact that flashing different ROMs with the same issues kinda point to hardware problem. I'd guess something fried on the motherboard and it's causing weird behavior. Funny thing, the other post also reported wifi not connecting issues, so I'm thinking there is something that breaks in older Nexus 5 phones that cause wifi issues along with other random reboot problems.

Screen and graphics are just jumping, flickering and doing random things

My Samsung Galaxy S5 Sprint (carrier unlocked) with Android 6.0.1 has suddenly been acting weird. The screen and graphics are flickering and jumping about the LCD screen. Once it even turned the screen negative with black and orange colors. I manually went to accessibility settings and enabled negative colors so that the screen went to normal.…That is until it again went negative and I had to turn off negative colors afterward. I don't know what is causing this and I want to badly fix it.
Specifications:
Android Version: 6.0.1 from Lollipop
Rooted: Yes (probably since it had SuperSU already installed when I got it)
Now I haven't Factory Reset it yet because I fear that resetting it to factory default while it is rooted might break it. I don't know how to unroot it either. I will be helpful knowing if I can safely reset it with it still rooted.
Edit: I also want to say that whenever I try to share my PC internet connection to the phone, the phone somehow manages to crash my PC every time. I can find no fix for any of these problems. I am so helpless and hopeless…

Sounds like a case of the get a new phone update from ur carrier /s
I know I'm late to the game but did you get like colorful lines like a purple border on the edges of the entire screen and red boxes on the bottom? That happened to me this morning out of nowhere. I restarted and away it went. yes, I'm on latest stock updates and root.

Galaxy S6 EDGE sound cut off and phone freeze

Hi guys,
I have a big probleme since 2 weeks on my galaxy s6 edge:
Sometimes the sound of the phone cut off and i'm not able to activate it again (the only way is to reboot)
And sometimes the phone juste freeze for no reason and he reboot by itself but sometime i have to hold power + home + volum down to make it reboot.
This problem happen like 2 or 3 times per day but it often happens when i'm watching videos on youtube, and the phone looks hot.
What i tried:
(I precise that i had a stock rom at origin) but i had already rooted it in the past and tested some custom rom.
I did a factory reset -> same bugs
Installed stock rom -> same bugs
Flashed custom rom -> same bugs
I dont know what to do and the warranted of my phone is over anyway...
I searched a lot on internet but i found nobody with the same problem.
I tested to boot in secure mode, but i don't think the problems comes from an app because when i installed the flashed rom, i got a freeze after 5 minutes with no app installed...
Thanks for your help, and sorry for bad english.

Mi Note 10 Black Screen Delay Issues [PLEASE HELP]

The phone is 2 years old, unlocked it a few months ago to play APK apps that required rooting.
Phone started lagging after that a bit, eventually it updated to MIUI 12, when the phone drastically started lagging.
I tried installing ArrowOS custom ROM, hoping that it would fix the issue, assuming that MIUI 12 is too heavy for the phone to handle - nope.
The problems started to occur more often and new issues started appearing.
Current major issues:
* Screen delay when trying to unlock with fingerprint / power button.
* Black screen / unresponsive screen on power button press.
* Notifications don't show up (black screen).
* When someone calls me -> phone vibrates/rings but the screen is black.
* Double tap to wake up -> black screen.
^All of the issues mentioned above that contain the black screen problem, sometimes but rarely the phone is responsive but it's like 2 times out of 20.
Things I have tried:
- Turn off all animations from Developer Options.
- Wipe Data / Dalvik Cache / Phone Cache / Factory Reset / Custom ROM.
- Installed stock ROM for Europe (since I live in EU) for my phone (latest MIUI 13) -> problem still persists.
- Wiped Cache / Dalvik after installing stock ROM (problem persists).
- Multiple factory resets (didn't fix the issue).
- Disable HW overlays -> this seemed to somehow give better performance but it disabled my Fingerprint function and I need this for banking security reasons, etc.
Overall the phone is still fast enough, no other issues, the most common issue is the black screen and the phone having this huge delay where sometimes it would turn on the screen for half a second and then go pure black again.
Most of the times I have to hold the power button for 10 seconds to force reboot it in order to access my phone.
Help is appreciated, thanks in advance people!

Well, if the same thing happens to you both on MIUI and custom ROM, the only thing I can think of is that you are installing something (most probably with root access) that gives you this issue. MIUI is obviously laggy itself, but Arrow/Octavi/Cipher are smooth and fast. Personally I use Octavi and face no such issue like yours.

I wish an app was the issue, the only app that I have installed is YouTube Vanced and it doesn't even require root access, the problem is that on a fresh installed stock ROM, the problem still persisted which brings me questions;
1) Am I installing a stock ROM Android 11+ which is too heavy for my phone causing lags?
2) Could it be a hardware issue considering that the problem exists on a freshly flashed ROM? But I need to exclude 1) first.

As I said, MIUI is heavy skin and it definitely lags more than AOSP custom ROM, but it shouldnt give you black screen issue. You could try to install Xiaomi.eu rom, which is a debloated, better version of MIUI than the stock one: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...MINote10_MICC9Pro_22.5.25_v13-11.zip/download
If multiple factory resets didnt help, then yes, it may be the hardware issue I think. But Im not that knowledgable to tell this definitely

I was already recommended by Scarlet on discord (if not mistaking the username) to install EU stock ROM which I did but the problem still occcurs, I guess I will try and give it on a mobile service check just to make sure it's not a hardware issue, I will still however wait for more replies in case someone else had the issue and managed to fix it software wise, thanks for the suggestions buddy!
