It also arrived in Germany.
Changes in the weather app - other icons - time unfortunately is 1 hour wrong
I got the same update in Chile, too. I haven't noticed any difference yet.

Do you have the correct time in weather app? In Berlin I have 1 hour different at top of the weather screen.

Yes, I have that too! I didn't notice. Do you have Daylight Saving Time in Germany now? Because we have it here, and thus an explanation can be that the Weather app is not making use of the DST flag.
What is the most effective way of letting Samsung developers know about this?
P.S.: What if.... the app is trying to make us believe it is looking into the future? After all, it's a forecast! :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Yes, we have Daylight Saving Time in Germany since 2 weeks. Maybe that's the problem.
So we will probably have to look into the future for half a year . Because I do not think - from my experience - Samsung will correct that because firmware development for GearS2 is out
Tout s'est bien passé depuis la mise à jour. Les applications fonctionnent toutes pour les notifications aussi.
Merci à Samsung pour cette mise à jour de la S2.
Il ne manque plus qu'un peu plus d'applications utiles et enfin à nouveau le Nike Running fonctionnel avec la nouvelle version sur Android. Parce que S Health est pas mal mais pas au niveau de ce que propose Nike Running. Il paraît que Nike serait dessus, alors on attend, encore...

Everything has gone well since the update. The applications all work for notifications as well.
Thanks to Samsung for this update of the S2.
It lacks more than a few more useful applications and finally again the Nike Running functional with the new version on Android. Because S Health is not bad but not at the level of what Nike offers Running. It seems that Nike will be on it, so we wait, again .

I from Viet Nam but I can't see any update.
I have problems
I installed this update and now my watch keeps showing only the "tags" of the variables instead of the data.
In example. Instead of showing my calendar events, it shows: "WDS_CLD_NPBODY_NO_EVENTS_TODAY_ABB"
Has anyone this problem too? How could i solve it? I tried synchronizing it again. But it keeps showing that errors.

Exactly, I am also from Brazil, and after this update the battery is discharging fast, and unloads even leaving the clock off, it seems of purpose, for owner to think that the clock is getting old and force the purchase of a new one.
Just now receiving this in the U.S. (Texas).
Got the update this morning in South Carolina. Battery drain seems normal to me.
I have received the update as well and have experienced abnormal battery drain. I used to get a full day off the battery now I'm struggling to make it to a half of day. Samsung please fix quick!

On that forum I found between Magic ROM list, also this ION2 ROM that seems to be for the Dream and not for the Magic. Is it a mistake or am I missing something?

Please don't get impatient.... We are all trying to help each other here.
Looking around some of the other threads (try this thread), people are struggling with the HTC Magic TIM ROM at the moment. So you may have to be patient.
It was a serious suggestion to look at the French Forum for the Magic. If French is your first language / or you understand it, you will gain much information from this site. Unfortunately for me whilst I can translate it in part using Google Translate it is hard work for me. The French wiki is much more comprehensive than Android wiki at the moment.
I suggest you do some reading from the links I have offered and get back with specific questions where you are getting stuck.

The france 1.5 rom zip contains (1) recovery-magic & (2) update. So I just wanna know is it possible to flash my magic without using recovery-magic file from france 1.5 rom zip. or I must use the france recovery-magic? Is any different b/w Haykuro's and france 1.5 recovery-magic file? thanks

I don't know the difference between the recovery image files, but I didn't use the one with the SFR 1.5 ROM. I already had Haykuro's Magic "rootme" and his modified recovery image.

How to make root to this device?
To rooted is used z4root found here, follow these steps:
Before installing enter settings > applications, brand unknown sources.
Also mark in settings > application development > debugging usb
When you run Z4root show us two options:
We chose permanent root wait a moment and the phone will restart, done you phone is rooted
If you want to remove the root for X reason open z4root and choose unroot wait a moment, the phone will restart and done! You phone is un-root.
The Froyo ROM which we install comes from the Huawei U8500 but such as they are devices with differences in the hardware there are limitations which are as follows:
The radio fm, the multitouch and front camera not working.
There are also problems with the main camera, but the rest if it works well here a translation of the post #1 of the thread that is created in the forums of CANTV:
This is not my work, the main developer is alfred_2 @digialfred (in twitter) and our main forum is Main CANTV Forum for Huawei UM840 (in spanish)
Installing Froyo (2.2) on our Um840:
There are two ways to do this
1) This is the most simple one, it consists in applying the froyo beta ROM from Huawei U8500 directly using force upgrade but you'll lose all your personal settings and if you want to go back to Eclair (2.1) you must also force upgrade using Movilnet's Official 2.1 ROM with the same consequences of U8500 beta force upgrading.
You need to download Huawei U8500 Froyo ROM Beta, unzip it al look for the dload folder with size is 211MB, then copy it into your sdcard root folder (/sdcard).
Now shut down your phone and turn it on by pressing EndCall+VolumeUp+Power buttons.
After the process it will show an error message, remove your battery for 3 seconds, put it back and turn on your phone. Done you have now Froyo on your UM840
This method is a contribution made by Airex0
2) This way is a little bit more methodic but in advantage you can make android backups of your phone and restore them whenever you want to go back to 2.1.
To install Froyo Evolution you must meet theses minimun reqs:
1. Have root access (wich you can get using z4root
2. Install Android Terminal Emulator from android market
3. Download and put in sdcard/recovery these files: Flash_image and recovery.img
4. Open Android Terminal Emulator (you need to be rooted) and input this to install ClockworkMod Recovery:
#su (enter) (grant root permissions)
#mount -o remount,exec /dev/block//vold/179:1 /sdcard (enter)
#cd /sdcard/recovery (enter)
#./flash_image recovery recovery.img (enter)
You shouldn't get any message back close your terminal.
5.Put this file Froyoevo1.3.1 without unzipping it in your sdcard root folder (/sdcard) and shut down your phone.
6. Turn on your phone by pressing Power+VolumeUp+Call, it should boot in recovery clockworkmod.
Its HIGHLY recommended to make a backup of your current configuration, this can be done in the "backup and restore" option then "backup"
7. After creating the backup select the option "install from sdcard"
8. then select ""choose zip from sdcard"
9. select froyo evolucion 1.3.1.zip
10. go down and select the Yes option and wait.
11. When it's done press your back key and select "wipe data/factory reset"
12. Select the option "reboot system now"
13. You are done, now you have Froyo (2.2) in your UM840 with your backup from 2.1 in case you need it in the future.
Can i go back to 2.1 in case i don't like 2.2?
If you followed recommendations and made your backup just go into recovery mode (Power+VolumeUp+Call buttons when turning on your phone) choose backup and restore, then restore, choose one of your backups and done. you'll have your UM840 back on 2.1 just like you had it before flashing.
If you didn't made a backup you'll need to download the official Movilnet's ROM unzup it and put it into a folder called dload in your sdroot folder (/sdcard/dload) and turn on your phone pressing Power+VolumeUp+ENDCALL, in about 3 minutes you'll have your brand new-like UM840.
Improvements after installing Froyo Evolution:
Greater speed.
Better battery performance.
Move app´s to the microSD.
Personally I'm still with the Stock ROM because I don't want to lose the function of the multitouch and FM radio, so we would appreciate if any member of this forum help us with the development of this ROM to make it completely functional.
Any suggestion is received.

Here you will find a stable version from Froyo to the IDEOS X3 but not the I tested if you want to tested and comment out if works it.
Well, this cell is becoming very popular here in Venezuela ... I dont have this phone (yet), partly because I'm hoping that it becomes possible to upgrade to Froyo. So here I am, supporting the initiative ...

Has anyone tried to install the FM radio App that comes with the CM7 version of the Nexus One? I think it works by allowing the FM capabilities of the nexus processor! Maybe that can work on the UM840 too. I don't currently have the app, but will try to extract it and install it. We'll see what happens!

Buenas a todos! Efectivamente, la aplicación no corre por si sola! Necesita algunos archivos para su funcionamiento. Mi ultimo intento es este: Descarguen el archivo adjunto y copien su contenido (archivos .so) en el directorio /system/lib mediante Root Explorer o Terminal Emulator; reinicien y prueben nuevamente la aplicación instalada antes con el FM.apk.
Me dejan saber que tal les fue, kizas pueda preguntarle a un colega que puso a funcionar la Radio FM en su Droid X.

As the title says this is about the Settings application Update v4.0.2213332163.350357 that's being pushed as an OTA update. So far it looks like a bug fix patch for ICS, but it also seems to be being pushed to Sensations still on GB.
After having read a couple posts on various forums and threads it seems to download and successfully install on ICS. If you're on GB it's still being pushed as an update, it'll download but fail to install, which wouldn't be surprising if you're running the wrong version of Android for it to patch.
I'd like to confirm that this is indeed the case. If you've received this OTA please respond by saying:
Which version of Android is currently on your device
Did this update installed successfully for you.
If it did install successfully please list any changes you've noticed since installing it, like the now world famous Aeroplan spelling mistake.
In my case:
unrooted S-ON Sensation, firmware 1.50.401.1
update unsuccessful
I'm on ICS , everything is stock , update successful.
UPDATE: It seems they fixed aeroplan and small letter personal storage spelling, still no fix for Develop option and I have no idea what was that wifi fix never had any issues

Can see device administrator settings now on 4.0.3 which wasn't there before!

You might be unsuccesful because you have skipped a previous update.
One such could be the Twitter update, if you don't update that, you will not get the ICS update.

Brittish english = Aeroplane
American english = Airplane
This update failed - sort of - on my Sensation (Stock ICS). The update download fine, but just hung for hours on the "installing update" box, didn't even start filling the progress bar.

I haven't skipped any updates, twitter or otherwise. Also according to the Play Store all my installed applications are currently up to date. A final but important detail is that I should not be getting an ICS update because I do not have ICS, not because an app or setting that this update fixes is not up to date on my GB phone.

Aeroplan is subtly different from the British English Aeroplane, you may notice the missing e at the end.

Just got the update as well on my Sensation XE which I manually flashed the OTA from March onto whilst still being S-Off.
Where are the device administrator settings - still don't think I can see them?

Im from mexico, my problem is since i update to tizen 2.3.2.3, language in my watch not work in spanish, i reset the wath and app in my cel phone, put the ROM with NetOdin and still doesnt work. here some pic...
Soy de mexico y cuento con este reloj model R760, me salio la ultima actualizacion de tizen y se la meti, y desde entonces solo me sale el idioma en ingles, y no me da la opcion de cambiarlo a español y algunas apps que pongo en el inicio salen raros, pongo algunas fotos de como sale, meti la ROM que baje de aqui y aun asi no funciono, sigue igual...

Sorry for answer too late, but answer to u question, dont remember what version have before update, the S3 just let me change language in input section o keyboard, thats all, doesnt have a section to change language of the system to S3, so dont, can´t change langugae from system

No, can´t change language from gear app, just try before to do that, change language, English to spanish and spanish to English, but just in the section of keyboard, input and speech, thats all, and i dont have a cell samsung, its a Huawei Mate 9

Dammit, i reset again the watch and use configuration from the wath, not from the cell, and put the language in snpanish, when conect to cell with gear app change the language to english and sucks everything, i think the problem its from the app Gear and not from the watch, ****in bs.
I use in the first configuration language english, still doing the same problem

Problem in app, i just change the languague system on my cell phone and fix the problema, but the S3 and the cell its in english language, if i change to spanish, again all sucks in the S3

Justo tenia el mismo problema, con la nueva version de Tizen todo se desconfiguro, los textos, los menus, todo en codigo. Y si el problema es con la App de Samsung Gear no es compatible con lenguage Español Latam solo funciona con Español USA. Y hay que cambirlo desde el celular y el Gear S2 se arregla como por arte de Magia. Habra que revisar las actualizaciones antes de instalarlas, Samsung envia su desmierde sin hacer pruebas antes en los diferentes idiomas...
I just had the same problem, with the new version of Tizen everything is unconfigured, the texts, the menus, everything in code. And yes the problem is with the Samsung Gear App does not support language Spanish Latam only works with Spanish USA. And you need to change the language from the cell phone and the Gear S2 is gets fixed as if by magic. The Updates will need to be reviewed before installing, Samsung sends its sh1t without doing tests before in the different languages ...

Yes, it works once the changes are applied.
Interestingly (now that my memory is refreshed) the change I made is different from the change suggested by manager77. Maybe that works too, but my change, from the discussion I linked earlier, is to enable CA, as shown below....

I tried to do as instructed by Manager77 but after the fifth step I get "input Subscription ID 1 or 2" instead of [2] LTE 3GPP REL 10. I tried several times but couldn't manage to do this ...
I am not certain, but I think the 1 and 2 refer to the SIM slots. From the menu at top right you need to pick the "Input" option and then enter 1 or 2 for the slot you wish to change. Repeat the process for the other slot if required.

Well I also made changes to other settings as described in the thread I linked above. I do not claim to understand the changes, but maybe something else needs to be adjusted.

i have 4G+ somewhere but not at the places where i had it on exynos...any idea?

If the signal is marginal then it will flicker back and forth. I would say that if the signal is stable then so is my type of connection. Nothing of concern for me.

No it does not reset the phone, in my case this manipulation did not change anything, I still do not have 4G + only 4G.

Just tried it lol works for me. Didn't even know about 4g+ but now I see + mark on my 4g.
Got some higher speeds too when I'm testing or is it just me?
I just picked "input" and then entered number 1. Rebooted the phone and bam.
Strange is that in places where I had 4G+ on exynos model i have only 4G on snapdragon...even though its full signal

Until I got the N9860 I never paid much attention to the type of signal, but my 5G explorations made me more aware of 4G/4G+. I was also reviewing my network provider to see who would provide the best coverage for my needs. To do this I downloaded an app from the Play Store called nPerf and this allowed me to create maps of signal type and coverage as I travelled.
Here is a sample of aggregated data for my area for the EE network. There is a lot of 4G+, especially in town, but also in the countryside where I walk the dog. 5G is lacking here, which is why I do not care that it does not work with this phone and my network.
