French Qtek S100 Rom

I know that some users received their french Qtek S100 yesterday. Could you please dump your rom and post it to the ftp server ?
I can help you to do this (in english or french) : I made a doc with all the step and screen captures.

as some french guys don't want to offer their french rom (they paid much more money their qtek s100 you know, really a shame for me as I am french) , they delete the rom on the ftp section. So please find mirrors to download it below :

Original extended ROM
Hi all,
Using beginning of jpa procedure to update MDA Compact from German to English, I normally would be able to backup "my" German ROM. Is this procedure back-up both extended and "normal" ROM ? (very important when restoring initial Geman config in case warranty is needed) If answer is NO, is anybody know how to backup that German Extended ROM ? and finally, how to restore both saved German ROMs to recover initial configuration?

I've just post a dump of my French S100. It seems that the version is not the same :
R : 1.01.00 (in place of 1.00.10)
G : 1337.38 (in place of 1337.36)
D : 1.03.02 FRE
The file is named : fre_1.03.02_1.03.149_1.01.00.zip

ok, u need to start from first CID unlocking and flashing a hardspl on your phone. then you can put a custom rom.
every rom varies from what the user wants, personally my favorite are Garmin and L26 Diamond series .

I am french and i can see that there is no recent french cook rom and when i have a probleme and i try to fix it, i search on xda-developers because it is the best site but sometimes it is hard to understand all the vocabulary and you know that make a mistake when installing a new rom can be "dangerous".

I respectfully disagree. ROM preference is subjective and this individual clearly is looking for an opinion. the fact that he "just" got it and wants to flash a new ROM but needs to ask a question like this is almost a guaranteed bad flash. if you have difficulty reading this stuff, then maybe flashing is a bad idea, unless you can find a source that you can understand. Once you understand, then you already know that this is not a question that neeeds/should be asked because you'll know that you and only you can answer it alone.
Even if englsih is not your primary language, there are translating programs. cut and paste . . .

If you are looking for an italian ROM, please look here.
For a WWE (World Wide English) ROM it is very hard to answer your question. Quite impossible without reading and searching in this forum. Sorry.

Look, i don't know French. I don't know any word from this beautiful language (damn, I need to learn it ), but its really easy to know the sense and intention.
Les programmes de traduction sont vraiment faciles à utiliser mon ami. Je ne sais pas le français, et je sais que le programme faire quelques erreurs, mais vous peux transtalte tout avec cela. Non ce dur. Merci.

ok well, getting back to the topic, I have flashed my phone with just about every single 6.1 ROM, but they all had some kind of issue with my phone, either this is broken or that is missing or that is not compatible, So I bit the bullet and installed the Original HTC WWE 6.1 Rom that was available for download on their site, Reverted my SPL back to the Standard HTC SPL.
Phone is slower, but honestly most of my issues are solved.

These guys are experts and I'm just a newbie like you. There is a lot of great advice and great ROMS. I flashed my ROM for the first time last week. I tried several, which is the beauty of this. You can try one for awhile, then try another. I personally like Dutty's and L26.
Try them and see what you like.

It does not make you special joining to this forum from Italy.As you know,not just xda developers,all the forums they have their own rules,their own stickys..When you join somewhere first time,naturaly you check around,search threads,and must important is the rules...If you do,you do not even ask any questions because all the answer is there.If you do not,people have right to treat you like s**t because you are lazy....

ok, we have no french forum better than this one. Translators are able to translate everydays sentences but not technical sentences and like i have said make an error ...
Personnaly i can understand 85% of it but i believe that the 15 other % are important it's why I indeed have to think before beginning a risky operation.
For example I am sad with radios, I would indeed like to put an English rom but I think that the radio shall not work in France.
What I want to say it is that this forum is great, if we want to make something with its pdapc / smartphone it is here that it is necessary to look and it is not easy for everybody.

le hard SPL a peu d importance je trouve que ca change rien...ou pas grand chose!!
en ce qui concerne la radio a toi de voir la quelle utilise le moins ta batterie, est la plus rapide pour le positionnement GPS, ect....
Hard Spl is not so important for me i think it's change nothing...or just few thing...
For the radio rom you have to see yourself for your battery er elapsed time for gps...

Ok It's good, it was just a little problem with windows vista, because of the drivers, so i restart the laptop and i run the program after rebooting and it works !!

It also arrived in Germany.
Changes in the weather app - other icons - time unfortunately is 1 hour wrong

I got the same update in Chile, too. I haven't noticed any difference yet.

Do you have the correct time in weather app? In Berlin I have 1 hour different at top of the weather screen.

Yes, we have Daylight Saving Time in Germany since 2 weeks. Maybe that's the problem.
So we will probably have to look into the future for half a year . Because I do not think - from my experience - Samsung will correct that because firmware development for GearS2 is out

Tout s'est bien passé depuis la mise à jour. Les applications fonctionnent toutes pour les notifications aussi.
Merci à Samsung pour cette mise à jour de la S2.
Il ne manque plus qu'un peu plus d'applications utiles et enfin à nouveau le Nike Running fonctionnel avec la nouvelle version sur Android. Parce que S Health est pas mal mais pas au niveau de ce que propose Nike Running. Il paraît que Nike serait dessus, alors on attend, encore...

Everything has gone well since the update. The applications all work for notifications as well.
Thanks to Samsung for this update of the S2.
It lacks more than a few more useful applications and finally again the Nike Running functional with the new version on Android. Because S Health is not bad but not at the level of what Nike offers Running. It seems that Nike will be on it, so we wait, again .

Il faut la réinstaller avec le même compte Samsung que celui qui l'a verrouillé.

I installed this update and now my watch keeps showing only the "tags" of the variables instead of the data.

Exactly, I am also from Brazil, and after this update the battery is discharging fast, and unloads even leaving the clock off, it seems of purpose, for owner to think that the clock is getting old and force the purchase of a new one.

Just now receiving this in the U.S. (Texas).

Got the update this morning in South Carolina. Battery drain seems normal to me.

I have received the update as well and have experienced abnormal battery drain. I used to get a full day off the battery now I'm struggling to make it to a half of day. Samsung please fix quick!

In the UK I find the same problem. It can be fixed by making adjustments in the service menus, but a new firmware update will break those changes.

Unfortunately I do not know exactly which changes are necessary just for 4G+. I made all the changes recommended, including the 5G and others. I did not do anything regarding CSC.

Yes, it works once the changes are applied.
Interestingly (now that my memory is refreshed) the change I made is different from the change suggested by manager77. Maybe that works too, but my change, from the discussion I linked earlier, is to enable CA, as shown below....

I tried to do as instructed by Manager77 but after the fifth step I get "input Subscription ID 1 or 2" instead of [2] LTE 3GPP REL 10. I tried several times but couldn't manage to do this ...

I am not certain, but I think the 1 and 2 refer to the SIM slots. From the menu at top right you need to pick the "Input" option and then enter 1 or 2 for the slot you wish to change. Repeat the process for the other slot if required.

Do you also encounter that 4G+ falls back to 4G quite frequently more often when no data usage happens....
i have 4G+ somewhere but not at the places where i had it on exynos...any idea?

If the signal is marginal then it will flicker back and forth. I would say that if the signal is stable then so is my type of connection. Nothing of concern for me.

No it does not reset the phone, in my case this manipulation did not change anything, I still do not have 4G + only 4G.

Just tried it lol works for me. Didn't even know about 4g+ but now I see + mark on my 4g.
Got some higher speeds too when I'm testing or is it just me?
I just picked "input" and then entered number 1. Rebooted the phone and bam.

Strange is that in places where I had 4G+ on exynos model i have only 4G on snapdragon...even though its full signal

Until I got the N9860 I never paid much attention to the type of signal, but my 5G explorations made me more aware of 4G/4G+. I was also reviewing my network provider to see who would provide the best coverage for my needs. To do this I downloaded an app from the Play Store called nPerf and this allowed me to create maps of signal type and coverage as I travelled.
Here is a sample of aggregated data for my area for the EE network. There is a lot of 4G+, especially in town, but also in the countryside where I walk the dog. 5G is lacking here, which is why I do not care that it does not work with this phone and my network.
